What the heck?? A second Design Session in the same month??? Why, that's some sort of... Christams miracle! We make up for skipping November by sitting down to bang on The Conductor some more.

With that, we have (hopefully) completed all of the Playbooks for 2E! Next month, we'll be taking another look at Downtime, which still isn't quite nailing what we're looking for, as well as beginning to take our first real look at the combat system since 2020. Feel free to send in emails to [email protected]!

We're back after accidentally taking a month off! This time, we're revisiting the Beast and Wildcard playbooks. One of these books is in pretty good shape already, and the other needs a little work! Which is which? LISTEN TO FIND OUT

Next month, we'll be wrapping up the Playbook Punch-Ups with The Conductor! Feel free to send in Conductor emails to [email protected]!

This month, we review the Alchemist. The book has a lot of neat Moves, but they tend toward being very situational, and arguably should just be things that a player can do with a standard Challenge Fate draw. What can we do to spice this bad boy up?

Next month, we'll be reviewing The Beast, The Wildcard, and possibly The Conductor, so feel free to send in emails regarding those playbooks!

Mid-mortems continue to be a real thing, and we continue to answer listener questions, this time with the cast of Eidolon SKA!

Come back next week for the beginning of our first miniseries of the year, Eidolon QUEEN!

This month, Fabby holds a book club with Maxie, Iris, and Crystal to discuss To Own the Libs by Zoe Storm, a novel that heavily influenced the character of KC! I have no idea how many book clubs we're gonna have in the future, but there'll probably be at least one more at some point, which makes this episode number one!

For the first time since The Killers, we're dedicating another episode to a group we've already covered! With Daft Punk's 2013 album of the summer containing the namesake of this season's final antagonist, it felt right! What didn't feel right is how nobody except for me Luke has good opinions about this album!

We're back, and we're finally fixing up this damn Virtuoso book! Does it really need as much as an overhaul as we thought? Is there something we can do to better signal what we intend this book to be? How much of a headache are we giving Mike in reconfiguring Bob? Why do we have such a hard time with the Virtuoso when the Veteran is basically pitch-perfect?

Next month, we'll be tackling the Alchemist, and hopefully the Beast as well!

This month, we set out with the goal to review the Infiltrator, Virtuoso, and Alchemist playbooks, and we managed to do... about half of that. The Infiltrator took a fair bit longer than we expected it to, and while we're happy-ish with the current state of the Virtuoso, some of you out there sent in suggestions that have us thinking about rebuilding the whole thing from the ground up, which we may end up doing next month!

In the meantime, feel free to send in more recommendations about the Virtuoso, the Alchemist, and the Veteran to [email protected]! As always, feel free to send in emails with any other thoughts you have as well, but we'll probably be putting any other emails on the back-burner.

We've tweaked a lot of mechanics over the past several months, and it's time that we took a trip through the Playbooks to make sure that they're compatible with the newest version of the rules.
