Pastor Andy Cass In this message, we dive into the story of Joseph’s reaction to Mary’s unexpected pregnancy and explore the different ways we handle anger. We’ll look at how Joseph’s response challenges us to embrace peace, patience, and forgiveness, even in the face of disappointment and frustration. TEXT: Matthew 1:18-25, Luke 4:18-30, James 1:19-20, Matthew 5:22, Proverbs 15:1, Ephesians 4:26-27, Hebrews 12:15 NOTES: "If you're not carful you don’t hold your anger—it holds you." Three types of anger: 1. Rage (Cain): Explosive anger that manifests in outbursts or uncontrolled behavior. 2. Contempt (Jonah): Expressed through disdain, superiority, or disrespect toward others, devaluing them. 3. Resentment (Older Brother): Anger that lingers and festers over time, often stemming from unaddressed wounds or perceived injustices. Anger that’s surrendered to the Holy Spirit can become an opportunity for growth, healing, and reconciliation. "This season invites us to shift our perspective... God calls us to embrace a vision that’s not just faithful but fruitful."
