NOTES:
Big Idea: If I believe Jesus is the true definition of good , then I must confess that I am not good; in fact, I am corrupted by sin and in need of God’s goodness to shape me.
1. If Jesus is my provider, then I willingly acknowledge that I am unable to provide for myself or others.
2. If I believe Jesus is the illuminated perspective, then I willingly acknowledge that I am in the dark and need His light in my life.
3. If I believe that Jesus is my protector, then I need not defend myself; I need only stay within His protection.
4. If I believe Jesus is the true definition of good, then I must confess that I am not good; in fact, I am corrupted by sin and in need of God’s goodness to shape me.
5. If I believe Jesus is powerful, then I realize that I am ultimately powerless to achieve any lasting accomplishment on my own.
6. If I believe that Jesus is the one true pathway, I must remind myself that my way, my intuition, and my drive may lead me in the wrong direction.
7. If I believe that Jesus is the true vine, planted and secure, I cling to Him because I am unstable, insecure, and seeking life.
