Ep 13Unfiltered Ep 12 Make Wine Great Again

We have Sam Jones from Bancroft wines bringing the swag and a banger (listen to find out) who’s starting his campaign for wine baseball caps and making wine great again. Learn exactly how to order in a Pie and Mash shop, we learn that crack cocaine is the new Gucci, and a decent amount of time is spent talking about ice-cream vans. Ep 12Unfiltered Ep 11 Some Skin Contact

E

This is the episode of genuine focus. We are joined by Head Sommelier Antonio Palmarini who comes from the Abruzzo region in Italy. Learn all about the region, the grapes ( oh there are so many grapes ), the struggles and where Abruzzo is heading. We taste some absolutely cracking wines: Collepietro Passarina 2016 by Faraone (exactly! What?), and two Montepulciano d’Abruzzos, one which is made entirely naturally: Senzaniente and the other 2013 by the legendary producer Emidio Pepe. Somehow we still managed to squeeze in the typical nonsense. Jonathan gets very opinionated about religion and the use of donations towards Notre Dame. On a lighter side, he is shamelessly plugging his new project: Sommelier socks! Who wants some? So sit back with a glass of wine and enjoy your first real wine nerdy episode.

Ep 11Unfiltered Ep 10 We are back with Climate Change, Flat Earth and Dominatrix

E

The first episode of season 2 and we are joined by the lovely Nacho Campos, originally from Mexico. We talk Mexican wine, naturally! Jon and Janina get into a usual squabble, and conversations get a little more serious than normal when discussing climate change, and Torres and Jackson family estates plan for “International Wineries for Climate Action”. Obviously, things go down hill when discussions turn to Polar bears and crazy women who jump into cages with them, plus the dominatrix named Miss Foxx who recently walked a grown man on all fours through Waterloo train station. The recording happened at The Arch Borough which is owned by Laithwaites. We drunk three wines from their Coravin selection: 2014 Livio Felluga Terre Alte, 2015 Domain Zind-Humbrecht Roche Calcaire and 2014 Domaine Doudet Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru. All were absolutely delicious! Enjoy! Ep 9Unfiltered Ep 8 The Heartbreak Grape

E

Our first double act episode. We bring you two French guys for the price of one. Julien Sahut, Head Sommelier of Sexy Fish and Josselin "The tech guy" Guibert. Wine theme of the wine is Californian Pinot Noir, and in between sips we are talking to our duo about their Wine Picker app ( winner of Imbibe AND Amazon's innovation of the year award!). Learn about the "live coral" at Sexy Fish Restaurant, an enthusiastic examination of the Fog Affect, an actual wine lesson on how wild yeast can give that "sexy little funk", Oregon pinot v Californian pinot, and you can decide if measuring the quality of wine in "quantity of necessary dick sucks" is an appropriate way to score wine! Informative to dirty in 0.6 seconds... You have been warned! Ep 8Unfiltered Ep 7 Moving on from Kevin Spacey and Blends

E

When we finally stop talking about Meltons pork pies and Greggs sausage rolls, the wine focus this week was ‘Blends’ and so we taste our way through some wine delights from France, Macedonia, and Australia! Jamie Oliver gets a slagging off yet again ( but he should have thought about that before he designed “Jerk Rice”… *idiot* ). A slightly more risqué episode with the anal bomb being dropped and some Instagram investigation on the word – some distressing photos. And listen to Jonathan have the craziest rant EVER when we get talking about Parker Points, awwww bless him! #ticklefish ( I don’t think this will catch on )
