Glassman has been practicing Vodou in New Orleans since 1977 and in 1995 became one of few to be ordained through the traditional Haitian initiation. She owns Island of Salvation Botanica, where you'll find religious supplies, medicinal herbs, and Haitian and local artworks. She is also the author of Vodou Visions: An Encounter with Divine Mystery.
