S1 Ep 44JUSTICE WARRIOR: FORMER PROSECUTOR TURNED DEFENSE ATTORNEY DISCUSSES LEGAL WRITING WITH A.I., THE FAILURE OF MASS INCARCERATION, AND INNOCENT MAN CHRISTOPHER NORRIS -With Guest Brenton Barber

In this profound wide ranging conversation we interview Brenton Barber a Super Lawyer, former Prosecutor, and Criminal Appellate Attorney based in Phoenix, Arizona, that represents Christopher Norris which was interviewed on DefundDOC.net episode forty. Brenton shares his remarkable personal journey. Explaining why he fights so hard for those harmed by the justice system. Detailing how he struggled, like hundreds of thousands of other Americans, with opioid use disorder. Finally overcoming his debilitating addiction to become a fierce advocate for the American people. Becoming a tribal prosecutor. A Special U.S. Attorney. And now a Super Lawyer Criminal Appellate Attorney that represents innocent man Christopher Norris. Brenton argues convincingly that many innocent Americans, like Christopher, will plead guilty due to judicial coercion. Brenton goes in depth on the trend of legal professionals using artificial intelligence in their court filings. Listen to his prognostication on the possible wide spread usage of A.I. in the legal field. Brenton does not just talk either. When he was a prosecutor he tackled bail reform. And stunningly when he was robbed at gun point he went to the sentencing judge of his perpetrator and sought mercy. Seeking no prison time for the Offender due to the failure of mass incarceration. Thankfully the Judge granted his request and sentenced the perpetrator to intensive probation. Proving that imprisonment is not the answer. Restoration and Rehabilitation is the answer. Brenton's story of the robber's sentence hit co-host Daniel J. Simms profoundly as his botched drug deal turned alleged robbery was less severe yet he received a thirty four year prison sentence. Co-host Daniel is just one of millions of Americans sentenced to slow death sentences due to dumb on crime laws. This freewheeling conversation will open your eyes to many explosive topics. S1 Ep 42VALENTINE'S BEHIND BARS. PRISON WALLS CAN'T SEPARATE OUR LOVE! - With Special Guest Messages

Love notes from behind prison bars. In this exciting episode incarcerated Americans send their Valentine's Day messages to their loved ones. Breaking false stereotypes and prejudices that those inside are unloved or forgotten. For generations the mass media and corrupt politicians have spewed propaganda demonizing fellow Americans that made bad decisions. Using crime as a pretext to systemically enslave them in cruel prison conditions. A blatant crime against humanity. Exploiting their loved ones. Extracting vast sums from their communities. Saddling debilitating court debts on them. Ensuring cycles of impoverishment. Keeping troubled Americans uneducated and untreated. Handicapping their ability to rehabilitate. Surrounding them in artificial environments of extreme violence. Further traumatizing them. DefundDOC.net seeks to disrupt these evil paradigms. Envisioning a criminal-justice system that truly focuses on restoring our troubled Americans into productive members of society. To do that we must bring society into the prisons. Prisoners should be allowed to invite their significant others, children, or family members to spend days inside. Smartphones, laptops, and internet access should be readily available. We must reform to a hyper-socialization prison system focused on educating, treating, and socializing our people. As such we speak on a wide range of matters that are important to the incarcerated community. While also discussing current legislative reform bills pending in the State of Washington. This powerful episode will enlighten you. Opening your eyes to a futurewhere we can unleash the full true potential of those behind bars.EliteInmates.com pen pal website will be going LIVE soon! S1 Ep 37RED ONION STATE PRISON: PRISONERS ARE SELF-EMULATING TO ESCAPE THE TORTUROUS ABUSE?

In this explosive episode, Melissa Eberling, A Warrior Within Us Project, blows the whistle on the heartbreaking atrocious conditions at the Red Onion State Prison in Virginia. This alarming true story unveils the horrible conditions prisoners endure. The current corrupt D.O.C. slavery and exploitation scheme imposed upon our troubled sons and daughters is appalling. Prisoners are suffering human rights violations that will traumatize them for life. In a prosperous civilized Nation such as the U.S. it should be a Crime Against Humanity to impose cruel prison conditions on our fellow Americans. At Red Onion State Prison the depravity is on full display. Voiceless prisoners are systemically tortured with long solitary confinement stints. While the prison mainline is deprived of scarce resources which inevitably leads to prisoner on prisoner violence. The Guards are trained to treat our countrymen brutally as animals. Imbuing deep prejudices in the Guards to ensure they treat prisoners horribly. S1 Ep 34TRUE PUBLIC DEFENDER: HEAD DIRECTOR TO OFFICE OF PUBLIC DEFENSE OFFERS SOLUTIONS TO MASS INCARCERATION - With guest Larry Jefferson

Larry Jefferson, the Director of the State of Washington Office of Public Defense, grew up in a domestic violence home. Ultimately his mother escaped the abuse and embarked on a collegiate life. She included Larry in the journey for knowledge. Sparking Larry's thirst for education and eventually his pursuit of a law degree. Upon passing the Bar and entering the legal field Larry found a passion for defending disadvantaged Americans against the vast resources of the government. Coming to discern the considerable inequities and injustices facing minorities, the impoverished, and the mentally disordered. That discernment inspired Larry to reach the highest Office for Public Defenders and to implement reforms. One of his most notable reforms was to require Public Defenders to acquire historical information on each Client. Such a reasonable requirement ensures Clients root causes are ascertained and addressed. Additionally the background information enabled Public Defenders to present a holistic report on the childhood, cultural, or environmental traumas that led the Offender to the Courtroom. Prior to this reform the prosecution had an unfettered monopoly on Offender's narrative. Taking the truth and facts back for the benefit of troubled Americans is the first step to humanizing our people. Offering mitigation to explain how the past traumas manifested into the current bad criminal decisions. This revolutionary reform for thoroughness did not occur until Larry pushed for the policy. Larry imparted many more ideas and solutions, such as restorative justice, and other alternatives to mass incarceration. This is a very important episode for anyone interested in justice, fairness, or solutions on a better future for the American people. Foremost is ending the failed "hard-on-crime" ideologies, ushering in an effective "smart-on-crime" paradigm shift, that focuses on rehabilitation, restoration, and reentry. The United States needs more fierce advocates like Larry. His passion is easily discernable. This open and frank conversation will open your eyes to the plague of mass incarceration and the new innovative solutions to obtain true justice for all parties. S1 Ep 33REDEMPTION: FROM CRIME TO CIVIC SERVICE - With Guest Victor Gonzalez

E

Victor Gonzalez cousin killed a man. They then decapitated, and fed his victim to pigs on a farm in Oregon. The man had tried to rob and potentially murder Victor so he acted in self-defense. This compelling and provocative story will reveal the traumatic events that led to Victor's life of crime and imprisonment. Demonstrating the great need for treatment of root causes and higher educational career trainings. Each stage of the juvenile and adult criminal-justice system failed Victor and society. The system has an adverse incentive to incarcerate more Americans for longer sentences. Slavery has been a plague on society since the founding of the Nation. Now slavery has infested every level of criminal-justice policy and it needs to be disrupted. Victor's harrowing true story of severe childhood trauma, foster care, and juvenile institutions will shock you. Laying the corrupt trauma-to-prison pipeline bare for all to see. The system had ample time and opportunity to rehabilitate Victor yet failed him and society. Focusing on stealing Victor's slave labor rather than restoration. Ultimately the desensitization to violence from childhood to the criminal-justice system led to a brutal killing. Thankfully Victor chose to refocus his priorities by self-rehabilitating himself. Now Victor is on a mission to prevent future generations from enduring the horrors he suffered. His podcast, Resilient Minds, seeks to illustrate the power of our minds, the absolute failure of the current mass incarceration system, solutions on how to reform it, and stories meant to educate others on many varying topics. Please join us as we delve into this bloody horrific tale that ends with Victor becoming civic treasure.DefundDOC.net can not obtain systemic change without you. S1 Ep 32FOOTBALL TEAM-UP: FORMER NFL PLAYER, INNOCENT MAN, AND DEFUNDDOC.NET ARE TACKLING INJUSTICE (Part One) - With Jason Charles & Raymond Fisher

Former Indianapolis Colts player, Raymond Fisher, has joined the DefundDOC.net community podcast to broadcast the unjust prolonged incarceration of Jason Charles. In 2004 Jason was a normal working class citizen living in Ohio when his world was turned upside down. A relative high on drugs pulled a gun out on Jason and began firing. Without thought Jason reacted by grabbing a firearm and self-defending himself. Thankfully Jasons bullets struck his attacker and stopped the threat to his life. It was a clear case of self-defense. For those with wealth or power it would of quickly been ruled a self-defense matter and dismissed as such. If you are Black or poor however that is not the case. Which was the unfair inequity that Jason had to contend with. Instead of being treated like a victim Jason was criminalized and viewed as any other criminal defendant. Arrested. Stripped naked, visually raped, and booked into the County Jail. Then prosecuted as harshly as possible. Jason spent an alarming five years in the County Jail as he awaited his day of Trial. His Court appointed attorney, Michael J. Duff, did not adequately defend Jason. Instead Mr. Duff steadily pressured Jason into taking a plea bargain. A first year law student could of proven a self-defense case. Yet Jasons Public Defender only focus was to churn cases. The more cases Public Defenders churn the more funds they receive. As we have seen time and time again innocent people plead guilty. Coercion by attorneys, the duress of jail conditions, and the genuine threat of a long prison sentence, all culminates in innocent people pleading guilty. Despite Jason's complete innocence he buckled under the pressure. Taking a plea under duress. Believing he would be incarcerated a total of eighteen years. Yet when his parole board hearing came up the Parole Board Members used his past infractions as a pretext to keep him imprisoned. A prior prison altercation that Jason deeply regretted stemming from the harsh realities of institutional life was used unfairly to deny his parole. Disregarding the extraordinary claims of self-defense. Dismissing Jasons heartrending cries to reunite with his innocent children. And rejecting Jasons Supporter's voices asking for mercy. Supporters like retired professional football player Raymond Fisher. Outrageously decreeing Jason spend another ten years incarcerated. Such a ruling is tantamount to a slow death sentence. Listening to this remarkable tale of injustice will open your mind to the incalculable harm our current mass incarceration system inflicts on our people. If you would like to examine the vast trove of legal documents that support Jason's claims of innocence by self-defense DefundDOC.net has collected them. Click here. Please message, post, and share on social media recommending your family and friends to join the DefundDOC.net community podcast. Our nonpartisan social justice mission is to provide facts about the state of affairs in U.S. prisons. To break stereotypes. In this compelling episode of "Targeted: Daniel Simms' Fight Against Retaliation in Prisons," host Daniel Simms shares his harrowing experiences just one week after re-filing a civil rights lawsuit against the AHCC facility. As he faces an alarming level of psychological abuse from certain officers who are personally biased against him, Simms recounts a series of troubling incidents that exemplify the retaliation he’s enduring. From being unjustly written up for a minor infraction while sleeping to facing disciplinary action after choosing a video visit with his wife over voluntary programming, the narrative reveals a disturbing pattern of harassment. S1 Ep 30DIESEL THERAPY: ANTHEMS FOR OUR GENERATION

Grand release of the underground hip-hop Diesel Therapy album has passed. Virtually no albums were sold. The financial loss of the album and other DefundDOC.net initiatives could lead to bankruptcy. But failure is not an option. The Defund D.O.C. movement is bigger than its costs. So we will pinch pennies. Humble ourselves, pray for miracles, and continuing serving our community. As a self-funded social justice mission that seeks systemic change we know it will be hard. We are committed to the mission. Committed to you and all our people. To pay our expensive platform bills we wanted to share the Diesel Therapy songs one more time. If you don't find a song you like, identify with, or enjoy then it will be a surprise. Listen to all eleven tracks in this episode and you will most likely agree. And what adds even more power is how incredibly substantive the lyrics are. Sitting in your car driving down the road internalizing the struggles of our people will open your eyes and change many hearts. Another incentive to get the album is that for all of September DefundDOC.net is giving away three books, "Hopeless in Seattle: A Fosterkid's Manifesto," "The Art of Living: Everything You Need to Achieve Success in Life and Business, I Learned in Prison," and "Defund D.O.C.: Turning All Prisons Into Treatment and Career Centers," all for free! This is a limited time offer. Remember you can only get the album at DefundDOC.net/music-album. We are still growing the Defund D.O.C. movement and greatly need others to like, share, and repost DefundDOC.net content. Please consider writing reviews on whatever platform you listen to this podcast on. That will increase the ability of others find our podcast. Our hope and prayer is that we raise the National profile of the Defund D.O.C. movement so that systemic change can be debated. Co-host Daniel J. Simms petition for resentencing has been denied by silence. If you are poor and without attorneys you don't even merit a proper denial letter. This is the second time Daniel has applied for resentencing or clemency and both times they simply did not reply. Daniel is resigned to the fact he may die in prison but he refuses to give up. Currently he is exploring new avenues in the Courts. Regardless many people believe Daniel is being murdered by the State. Therefore we need advocates and supporters to write letters and emails to help obtain his freedom. If you are interested please contact us today.

S1 Ep 29RECYCLED FUTURES - YOUTH INCARCERATED AS ADULTS: WILL SOCIETY EVER SHOW AS MUCH PASSION AND INTEREST RECYCLING AMERICANS AS THEY DO RECYCLING GARBAGE? - With Guest Landis Reynolds

Landis Reynolds was a child, a teenager, when the State unfairly sentenced him to a slow death sentence. Sentencing children to die in prisons across the country made the United States an outlier in the civilized world. Virtually no other Nation in the world forecloses children to die in prison. Thankfully the judicial system has finally caught up to the undisputable science that children brains are not fully formed. Children are incapable of comprehending impacts on victims, potential criminal consequences, and even how their actions may affect others including their own family members. Most reasonable minded people would admit to the incontrovertible truth that children are less culpable. Natural law testifies to such an unassailable fact. Yet legislators, judges, prosecutors, and many others ignore the truth and continue to sentence children harshly. For instance, brain scan imagery has proven that the frontal lobe does not form the synapse connections required for fully matured thinking until after age twenty-five years old. So it is not until one is twenty-six years old that one should be held fully culpable under the law. Nevertheless many States, including Washington, have glossed over that scientific fact. Only extending youthfulness to those close to the archaic age of eighteen. That ancient benchmark was arbitrary. Eighteen years old is not some magical age when minds are mature enough to handle scenarios better. Brain imagery has proven that a falsity. The proper age is twenty-six years old. Therefore Landis wrote a book detailing a new way forward. He has embarked on a mission to educate. To break stereotypes. And refocus the National policy conversations away from demagoguery and towards science based approaches. Landis shares his compelling stories of prison life, rehabilitation, and redemption. While also dreaming for mercy, forgiveness, and freedom. Landis profound episode is one you will not soon forget. Listen to the hidden jewel wrongly warehoused in prison. Perhaps afterwards you will understand how very evil and corrupt the criminal justice system is today. The deeply meaningful underground, Diesel Therapy, album has been released! S1 Ep 27BOOKS BY PRISONERS: OVERCOMING STIGMA, ACHIEVING REDEMPTION - With Guest Ken Passaro

In this explosive episode we interview Cadmus Publishing owner, Ken Passaro, as he shares his remarkable story and how he ended up in the publishing business. A product of a broken home, fatherless, and struggling with traumas Ken found himself piped into prison just like millions of other Americans. While in prison his labor was exploited and wages stolen, treatment and educational options were practically nonexistent, he was surrounded by violence and guard brutality, and he was released in severe poverty. Which is essentially the story of millions of fellow troubled Americans. Unlike masses of other released prisoners Ken self-rehabilitated himself. Striving arduously to discover true peace, productivity, and happiness despite mass incarceration's deep adverse impact on his life. Finding his Higher Power was the key to his redemption. Now he is dedicated to freeing the voices of prisoner authors. Unleashing the untapped potential of our troubled people so that their words can break stereotypes and disrupt the evil mass incarceration system.Co-host, Daniel J. Simms, Petition for Resentencing filed with Leesa Manion, the King County Prosecutor, is still pending. Daniel has been incarcerated since February 2006 for a botched drug deal (See: State of Washington v. Daniel J. Simms). No one was severely hurt. No one was murdered. No one was sexually assaulted. Yet Daniel is being murdered by the State with an egregiously long sentence. Daniel's rehabilitation is beyond extraordinary, with three published books, a podcast, blog, and countless certificates including as a Certified Paralegal, the ends of justice would be best served mercifully freeing him. That is why Daniel direly needs advocates and supporters to lobby Leesa Manion's Office for Resentencing. Please contact DefundDOC.net to help, or contact the King County Prosecutor's Office directly at www.KingCountyProsecutorOffice.gov/LeesaManion. Thank you.

S1 Ep 26Washington's Finest: How Past Trauma and Love Shaped an Activist - With Guest Kehaulani Walker

Focusing on the compelling story of Kehaulani Walker, we learn how her past pain, trauma, and husband's incarceration awakened her to Carceral State injustices giving her a new lifelong passion. Now Kehaulani is busily running three organizations FOTi, PUA, and Roots Up, dedicated to improving prison conditions. If there were awards for the most effective State of Washington Activist Kehaulani Walker would win first prize. She has put her energy and sweat on the D.O.C. reform battlefield. Inevitably incurring the ire of D.O.C. prison authorities. She has faced down attempts to silence and dissuade her from vigorously defending our troubled people's human rights and dignity. When Kehaulani works on an inequity or abuse D.O.C., Staff know she will not give up until the matter is remedied and resolved favorably. The episode dispels harmful tropes such as "do the crime, do the time," "you brought this upon yourself," and numerous other falsities used to excuse Carceral State human rights violations. Highlighting political elites incentive to use the media bully pulpit to vilify "crime" and "criminals" to increase the prisoner felon slave class. Explaining how criminalization of behavioural health has become big business. Detailing how the Carceral State exploits forced prisoner slave labor to subsidize mass incarceration. Keeping prisoners impoverished and in a beggarly state to extract billions of dollars from their families and friends. The explosive episode also breaks news of incarcerated co-host Daniel J. Simms Petition to the King County Prosecutor Leesa Manion for Resentencing. Daniel asks listeners to e-mail www.KingCountyProsecutorOffice.gov/Leesa_Manion to voice their support for Daniel's release. Moreover July 4th is the beginning of DefundDOC.net crowdfunding journey to raise funds for the World's 1st social justice prison reform reality TV show "LOVE AND PRISON ACTIVISM." S1 Ep 25DOC TYRANNY EXPOSED: WAUPUN CORRECTIONAL INSTITUTION, WHERE ONE WARDEN AND EIGHT OTHERS HAVE BEEN ARRESTED - With Guests Tresa and Damien Hewlett

Hell on earth. A torture chamber. A death trap. Just a few names that incarcerated Americans and their supporters are calling the state of Wisconsin Department of Corrections, Waupun Correctional Institution. There have been four deaths in one year, countless lawsuits, gross negligence, vicious guard brutality, systemic oppression, overwhelming petty rules, and the exhausted existence of our people across the country. But, at Waupun Correctional Institution, the level of inhumanity and cruelty surpasses belief. In this nation of grand wealth and infinite resources, we have an evil wickedness resting in the dark recesses of our prisons. DOC is the largest slaveholder in human history. Stealing the wages of millions of Americans is an out-of-control kleptocracy. How can goodness, love for fellow man, and successful reentry ever occur in a hate-filled environment as has been created in DOC? It cannot. That is why recidivism is at 83.4 percent nationally, and recidivism is a meager 20 percent in Norway and Finland where sentences are low and educational and career opportunities are prolific. Waupun is just one more example of systemic cruelties stemming from a slave system.Interviewing Tresa Hewlett and her incarcerated son Damien Hewlett, we delve into the truth about what is actually happening inside those walls. Waupun is the latest prison where abuse has finally spilled out into the public sector. Of course, for every one prison that gets exposed for its atrocities, there are twenty that go unheard of or unaddressed. It is time to put an end to the Department of Corrections experiment. Defunding it, and turning all prisons into treatment and career centers.Learn more about the truth that is happening across our country. S1 Ep 24LOVE and PRISON ACTIVISM: REALITY SHOW NEEDS YOU

The country lit up with millions of Americans protesting systemic abuses highlighted by the martyr George Floyd. It was the largest social justice mass demonstration in human history. Politicians and mass media took notice. For days afterwards they waxed and waned about reforming the system. Then within days they were back to demonizing troubled Americans that made bad decisions labeled crime (i.e. minorities, the impoverished, and the mentally ill). They promptly returned to perpetuating the status quo. As of date, no meaningful systemic change has occurred anywhere in the United States criminal justice system. Police STILL overpoliced disadvantaged communities and subjects the communities to blatant abuse and murder. Prosecutors STILL persecuted disadvantaged citizens while failing to hold criminal cops accountable. Courts STILL railroaded masses of our people into cruelly long sentences while finding criminal cops not guilty for murders like Emmanuel Ellis. Mass incarceration STILL enslaved our troubled Americans, stealing their labor wages, and depriving them of meaningful treatment or educational opportunities. From the Police on the beat, the Prosecutors and the Judges in the Courtroom, the Prison Administrator profiteers, and the complicit Politicians that govern our people by fear and control, it is a corrupted system that needs reform. Politicians and mass media received the message when the demonstrations were occurring. But they did not truly GET it. Now we have to make it MORE clearer. That is what the world's 1st social justice reality show "LOVE and PRISON ACTIVISM" seeks to do. We plan on filming the inherent injustices and inequities that mass incarceration breeds. Showcasing patriotic supporters and loved ones of troubled Americans that demonstrate and protest against the Carceral State. Demanding fundamental change: (1) ending prisoner slavery, (2) turning all prisons into treatment and career centers, (3) ending the drug war, (4) adopting extreme socialization reentry programs into all prisons, (5) returning the vote to felons and prisoners Nationwide, and (5) reducing all sentences for non-homicide offenses down to a maximum of eight to ten years. Those overdue reforms will decarcerate our Nation and take the incentive (i.e. free prisoner labor) away from the Carceral State. Which will decrease police, prosecutor, and judge budgets significantly over time. The Government should not be in the business of enslaving and exploiting our People. It should solely be in the business of saving, helping, and restoring our People. To achieve this monumental aim we will need your help. We need everyone in the Country to join. It is a true David versus Goliath undertaking. We are currently opening up pre-commitments for donators zealous to be in the front line in the social justice battle. The reality show Stars will be picked from those that donated. Furthermore all those that donate will have the opportunity to be filmed in the reality show during protests and demonstrations. Additionally there are gifts and other prizes which donators will receive so pre-committing a fixed amount assures your reward. S1 Ep 23VOTING FRAUD: ARE POLITICIANS JUST BULLIES PERPETUATING RACIST VOTING POLICIES MEANT TO SUPPRESS DISADVANTAGED AMERICANS?

Welcome to the DefundDOC Podcast, where we delve into the critical issues surrounding voting rights and criminal justice reform. Join Linda and Daniel, as we explore the history and current state of felon disenfranchisement in America, inspired by legal texts, historical documents, and contemporary analyses. In our discussions, we question the "obvious" exclusion of certain groups, such as women, people with mental disabilities, and former slaves, from the right to vote. We examine the discriminatory practices that have disenfranchised felons and prisoners, perpetuating inequality and prejudice. We uncover the origins of felon disenfranchisement as a tool to prevent African-Americans from voting, and the need for legislative action to address the racial discrimination inherent in this practice. We challenge the notion that past mistakes define a person's character or virtue, advocating for the restoration of voting rights as a means to break down injustice in the criminal justice system.By highlighting the importance of voting rights, we expose the inequities and over-sentencing within the system, and the need for felons and prisoners to have a voice in shaping policies that affect them. We argue that the denial of voting rights violates the equal protection clause of the Constitution and perpetuates a corrupt and discriminatory system.Join us as we uncover the injustices of the past and present, and explore the ways in which restoring the right to vote for felons and prisoners can lead to meaningful criminal justice reform. Subscribe to our podcast and blog at www.DefundDOC.net to stay informed and receive a free digital copy of one of Linda's books.Additionally, we invite you to be part of a groundbreaking reality show, "LOVE AND PRISON ACTIVISM," which aims to humanize prisoners and their loved ones while driving prison reform. S1 Ep 22CRIME WAR MARTYR: THE PRECARIOUS CASE OF A CRIMINALIZED MAN - WITH GUEST MEGAN KOLB

As June 26 approaches this year, and every year thereafter, many Americans across the Country will anticipate it as if it was any other day. Tragically that will not be the case for Megan Kolb, of the State of Wisconsin. For the rest of her families lives, that day will represent an atrocity. A Human Rights Crime. The day their patriarch was killed by the State of Wisconsin Department of Corrections. Megan's father, Dean Hoffman, a man with severe mental health bipolar disorder. For decades he took his prescribed medications to mitigate the symptoms of his mental illness. For years such treatment worked. On occasion he would regress. Overall however he was striving to be a functioning member of society, and a valued member of his daughter Megan's, growing family, despite his severe psychological battles. Nevertheless one fateful night he lost a battle with his disorder. He had a mental health crisis. One that drove him to enter into his ex-girlfriend's residence and bother her with his innermost mental anguish. Instead of treating Dean Hoffman at a mental health hospital the system criminalized him. The police arrested him, the prosecutor persecuted him, and the Courts vilified and sentenced him to an outrageously long term of twenty six years. There was no mercy for being a first time offender, having a mental health disorder, or having a large growing family that desperately wanted him to grow old peacefully with them. The only thing on the minds of our contemporary corrupt U.S. Criminal Justice system was adding another prisoner slave to mass incarceration. Soon he was on the prison bus and arriving at Waupun Correctional Institution, Where they put him in an overcrowded small double cell. Being older, having mental health issues, and unfamiliarity of a first time offender, he was uncomfortable due to threats by his cellmate. He tried to peacefully refuse to return to the cell but the guards inhumanely put him in solitary confinement. In the process they breached numerous protocols and procedures that guaranteed a mental health breakdown. Needless to say, Dean Hoffman suffered the torture of solitary confinement while also enduring the torture of psychosis. The inescapable up and down, round and round, and around the clock mental anguish took an extreme toll. To escape the uncontrollable emotional rollercoaster he took a trip into the darkness. A darkness that lasts forever. The precarious case of Dean Hoffman is emblematic of the over-criminalization of the American people. How the government exploits our people's traumas and mental health problems to feed the beast of mass incarceration. Using crime as a pretext to enslave millions of our sons and daughters, fathers and mothers, and brothers and sisters. Over sentencing them to cruelly long sentences to extract their free labor for as long as possible. Be prepared to be shocked, appalled, and brought to tears as Megan heart wrenchingly describes the human being, Father, Grandfather, and patriotic American citizen that has unwittingly became a martyr in the treacherous Crime War.In addition you can check out this blog for information on the Crime War which has been declared against you and your descendants: www.DefundDOC.net/

S1 Ep 19ARTIFICIALINTELLIGENCE: HOW TO PREPARE FOR A.I. ARRESTING, JAILING, AND IMPRISONING YOU, OR YOUR KIDS. AND IS IT TIME FOR UNIVERSAL INCOME

The A.I. revolution unveils new technologies or applications each day. And each innovation surprises and astonishes us anew. Modest estimates predict that sixty percent of all jobs will be obsolete within the next twenty years. That is one adverse effect of the coming A.I. revolution that we must face. Historical data can help us ascertain what will happen when masses of Americans are unemployed and impoverished. Such mass layoff events occurred in the 1970's, 1980's, and 1990's. Millions of Americans lost their jobs due to free trade agreements that outsourced unprecedented amount of jobs to China, Mexico, and many other countries. What coincided with the mass layoffs? The explosion of mass incarceration. We believe this was by design. The government essentially funnelled the out of work impoverished bodies, or their sons or daughters, into the many beds waiting for them in mass incarceration. Ultimately from 1970's until 2000 mass incarceration skyrocketed six-hundred percent. And from 1999 until 2010 mass incarceration jumped another seventy six percent resulting in a 37 overcapacity. Accordingly if historically widespread unemployment and poverty led to over-incarceration then we can reasonably infer our future lies there too. Therefore we can logically conclude, due to immensely intelligent machines and software applications designed to surveil and inculpate us, in addition to historical data, that within the next fifty years half of the American population will be felons, jailed, imprisoned, or on mass surveillance. That means there will only be two classes of people in the next fifty years. The non-felon elite class and the felon underclass. It is a very bleak future that is virtually guaranteed unless we unite for criminal justice and prison reform. We must enact reasonable measures such as Universal Income, turn all prisons into treatment and career centers, end prisoner slavery, and reduce overly harsh sentences down to a maximum of eight years for all non-homicide offenses and twenty year maximum for homicide offenses. The government will be given an adequate amount of time to rehabilitate and restore our people. As we mature and grow as a society we must demand that our government stop enslaving our troubled people and stealing their wages. Our government should not be in the business of slavery. It should be in the business of saving and restoring our troubled sons and daughters. Without a doubt A.I. will wreak havoc upon the working and poor classes. The same classes preyed on by harsh criminal justice policies. Therefore it is time we examine a new solution that is not predicated on militaristic harsh and oppressive systemic theft of our people's labor.

S1 Ep 17DEVOUT CHRISTIAN TO VIOLENT PRISONER AND BACK!

Defund DOC Hosts, Daniel and Linda, invite Zachary Budrow to share his remarkable story of being adopted, neglected, and suffering mental health disorders related to anger and abandonment. Explaining how he worked hard at projecting a wholesome upstanding persona. Graduating from Skyview High School in Vancouver, Washington, with many friends and acquaintances. Going as far as being a leader in his youth church group at Real Life Foursquare. He was widely known for recording many music videos for Instagram. Despite the facade, in reality, he was suffering from severe mental health disorders. In particular his anger problem was growing out of control, it was so bad that his friends had encouraged him to get help, but before he did he snapped. Repeatedly stabbing his roommate without warning. The event caused him deep regret and sadness. While in jail he experienced violent altercations. Bloody and bruised he was moved into a cell with an older tattooed convict that perhaps saved his life? But would he also find his way back to Jesus? And how would other prisoners view him if he sought Christ? That question was answered at the notoriously violent Washington State Penitentiary at Walla Walla where he was attacked in the big yard after being manipulated into a vigorous workout. Would he make it out of the assault in one piece? That question and many more are answered in this profoundly vulnerable and honest episode.Remember all new subscribers can receive a free copy of "DEFUND D.O.C.: TURNING ALL PRISONS INTO TREATMENT AND CAREER CENTERS, or, " THE ART OF LIVING: EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO ACHIEVE SUCCESS IN LIFE AND BUSINESS, I LEARNED IN PRISON."Also if you have had horrible experiences in the criminal justice system or mass incarceration we would like to hear your story. S1 Ep 16#HEARTS and MINDS: CHRISTIANS AND JEWS FOR DEFUNDDOC.NET

As Christians' celebrated Easter and Jews observe Passover our Hosts, Daniel and Linda Simms, bring Biblical and Torah truths in hopes of touching hearts and minds. With passion, conviction, and well researched scriptures Believers will be confronted with God's commandments towards treatment of prisoners. God calls on his people to relieve the suffering of those oppressed. The inhumane oppression of U.S. prisoners is perceived by many as Human Rights violations and Crimes Against Humanity. Throughout history many peoples have enslaved other groups. "A century before Britain became involve in the terrible business of slave-trading, whole Christian villages and towns in England, Ireland, Italy, Spain and other European countries were being depopulated by Muslim slavers who transported them to Africa where they were sold to the highest bidder" (See: The Forgotten Slave Trade: The White European Slaves of Islam. Simon Webb). The elites in U.S. government, Federal and State, have been using crime as a pretext to enslave our sons and daughters. Making the U.S. the largest Slaveholder and wage theft Kleptocracy in all of human history. God has clearly and unequivocally labeled the slave trade a sinful practice. Therefore the United States is operating in an evil and corrupt fashion towards the people. The unassailability of God's commandments requires Christians and Jews to make a decision. Will they remain indifferent and tacitly complicit in the slavery, barbarism, and cruelty that is prolific across the country in their names? Or will they stand with organizations like DefundDOC.net that are dedicated to changing prison culture and politics ensuring love, forgiveness, and restoration is at the forefront of penological policies. Will they be duped by partisanship, political punditry, and propaganda so badly that they refuse to follow God's commandments? Are their eyes and heart turned towards God in this country? These questions, and much more, are addressed with deep honesty and profound clarity. Encouraging listeners to conduct a sincere introspection on faith and partisanship.
