Hot on the heels of his debut release on Defected 'It Is What It Is', Brazilian powerhouse DJ and producer Vintage Culture steps up to remix one of the label's biggest releases of late, Louie Vega and The Martinez Brothers' 'Let It Go' with Marc E. Bassy. The original record, a homage to NYC's rich Latin American dance culture, was as slick, soulful and groove-filled as expected from two generations of the city's finest, making its way onto the Radio 1 playlist and inspiring remixes from Honey Dijon and Dom Dolla already. True to form Vintage Culture's mix is flawlessly executed, as bold keys, stirring builds and an addictive bassline make this a record begging to be heard on the dancefloor.

Simply an iconic track from Swiss brothers Mandrax and Seb K aka Shakedown, 'At Night' is one of the most recognisable house tracks of the last two decades. With one of the most-hyped remixes of the year, artist of the moment Peggy Gou has seriously delivered with a squelching 7 minute groover, bringing in that iconic synth motif to lift the production and keep it rolling.

Dutch producer Ferreck Dawn and German mainstay Robosonic go head to head on their dancefloor smash 'In Arms'. A firm favourite with Low Steppa, Sam Divine, Franky Rizardo and the whole crew of residents when it was road-tested during the Defected Australia tour in early 2018, the thumping, bass-focussed track received a huge reaction from crowds with its tightly-harmonised earworm vocal. Certifying its place as a standout summer record, 'In Arms' has all the makings of a future Defected hit.

There’s always a risk when tampering with a much loved classic record, it can be ruined or taken to a whole new level. With this update Amine Edge & Dance do the original justice and then some. The duo retains a lot of the elements of the original track that made it so special but in true Amine Edge & DANCE style, Lovelee Dae now comes with added punch, guaranteed to go off on the dance floor. These two keep going from strength to strength and 2017 has been their biggest year yet, and with lots going on behind the scenes this looks to continue into the New Year. Expect to hear this track being blasted out all over the world soon.

Following the success of their ‘Earl’ EP on Switzerland’s Hive Records, Berlin-based House staple Oliver $ reunites with Swiss Jazz House aficionado Jimi Jules to bring their anticipated debut release on Defected. ‘Pushing On’ opens with an infectious percussive medley composed of tropical triangles and melodious 808-like cowbells. With the gradual introduction of the moody, Frankie Knuckles inspired, bass line and tailing piano chords, the track slowly transforms into an energetic homage to classic Chicago House. Quick to take centre stage the track also features dusky vocal samples from Quantic Soul Orchestra, merging effortlessly with the wispy cymbal crashes, the song’s title and central lyrical theme, “Pushing On”, falls and confidently rises to drive the track to its spirited climax. And for those who don’t want the vocals there’s a dub thrown in for good measure. Already household names in their home countries, ‘Pushing On’ is sure set to solidify Oliver $ and Jimi Jules as international House providers.

Around might come as a surprise for many club-heads as Noir usually produces club tracks and is now moving into the electronic songs area. However Around makes the perfect transition for Noir as it refletcs some of his trademark club-sounds mixed with the new melodic and more in-depth electronic sound. This is the 1st single taken from a full-length album coming in 2012 including some of the world's most talented singer/songwriters. On Around Danish Noir teamed up with Malaysian Haze for this heartfelt piece of music. Haze might be best known for his work with people like Sandy Rivera, Nic Fanciulli and Danism and the singer/songwriter proves his talent for creating emotional and melancholic vocals. Together Noir & Haze gave this track what they felt music in general is lacking today: Heart and Soul. This track has the perfect blend of the 80s New Wave sounds, the 90s proper vocal house anthems and today's modern production techniques. This is something different, nothing else out there sound quite like this. Solomun is a genius when it comes to sexy club music. This remix is already rated one of his best to date and perfectly refletcs his flair for the sub-heavy downtempo funk and club-feel. Expect the cool underground clubs to have the Solomun remixes running for the entire summer season 2011. To round the package off we also got some acoustic versions done by Haze for those who like it all stripped down and simple.
