Snoke is not pleased. Meanwhile, Rey hands Luke his lightsaber which he promptly throws it down the mountain. He's like I'm not coming, there's nothing I can do. Did you think I was just going to come back and magically save the day? It's not gonna happen. But Rey doesn't give up. She just follows Luke around the island for a while until Rey ends up feeling the force draw her to this cave with books - the original jedi text. It's at this point that Luke realizes that Rey may be special. Poe gets back to the base and Leia is not pleased with him, and it goes from bad to worse because the first order has tracked them down through light speed. Leia orders Poe and the otherrs to get back out there and fight them off. Kylo Ren, feeling the pressure from Snoke, is out there leading the attack, piloting his own ship. He is about to blow their ship up when he realizes that his mom is on board and hesitates. But one of the other pilots shoots and causes and expolosion which sends Leia flying into space. She is able to use the force to get herself back to the ship where the crew works to save her. Luke continues to say "nahhhhh" to Rey until R2-D2 shows up and convinces him to train Rey. But he's not happy about it and tells her that this training will show her why the Jedi needs to end. Finn is beeboppin around where he bumps into a mechanic named Rose. They figure out where the tracking device must be and Finn knows how to get them there. They take the plan to Poe and he says lets go for it. Luke says she saw the dark side of the Force, and she didn't even try to stop herself. He is very disappointed in her. He has seen this raw power once before and it did not end well. Luke explains that the last time he saw Kylo Ren, Young Ben as we call him around here, he was his student. He took him to train him in the force but Kylo gave in to the dark side and attempted to kill Luke by having a hut collapse on him. She tells Luke that he didn't fail Kylo Ren, Kyle Ren failed him.As Rey and Kylo continue to connect, Kylo tells Rey that Luke saw the power growing in Kylo and had attempted to get rid of him before he got stronger. There's this whole journey that Finn and Rose go on at a casino and these giant cat things. They meet DJ who overhears the two of them needing a code-breaker, and he offers his services. Rey has another conversation with Kylo and he tells her that what Luke told her is not true. He made that hut collapse because he woke up from slumber to see Luke holding a lightsaber over him, getting ready to kill him. They reach their hands out to each other and they touch hands Neil Dimond style. Sweet Caroline. Luke senses this and puts a stop to it. Rey confronts Luke over what Kylo told him. They fight a bit and then he explains that he could sense that there was nothing but darkness within Kylo and He did consider killing him but backed out of it, only for Kylo to see him with the light-saber and assume that he was indeed going to kill him. Rey tells him that she could see that all hope is not lost when she touched Kylo's hand and she's going to go to him. Luke is frustrated and is met by Yoda. He tells Yoda he's going to destroy the Jedi texts and Yoda is like one step ahead of you and does it and he tells Luke to help Rey. Rey arrives on the same ship as Kylo and is immediately taken prisoner. Rey tries to get Kylo to abandon the dark side but he's like it's you that will join the dark side. Kylo brings Rey to Snoke. Holdo, who is in charge while Leia is recovering, starts to set in motion plans to evacuate. Poe believes she is up to something and he attempts to stage a mutiny. Before his plans can go into effect, Leia appears after waking up and she blasts Poe. Leia allows Holdo's plan to go ahead and off they go. Snoke reveals that he created the connection between her and Kylo in an attempt to destroy Luke. He begins to use the force on her to get her to spill the beans on Luke. Ep 1431La Dolce Villa (Netflix - 2025) ft. Jacklyn Collier

Watch on Philo! - Philo.tv/DTHEric Field hops on a train, heading back to Italy. Why? To find his 24-year-old daughter, Liv. Eric has a complicated relationship with Italy, so he’s not exactly thrilled to be there. And he’s even less thrilled to learn that his daughter is apparently trying to buy a villa.Liv catches him up on what she’s been up to: she tutored English in Milan, nannied in Florence, worked harvesting olives, then came to this village for a wine festival—and fell in love. Eric’s like, “I thought you’d come over here for a little bit and then come back to Ohio.”They walk into a coffee shop where Eric meets a woman who clearly strikes his fancy. He immediately starts unloading on her about how his daughter is being ripped off by the mayor, who’s trying to get her to buy some dumb house for one euro. Turns out, this woman is the mayor.Liv explains to her dad that she wants to buy a place here to feel closer to her late mother, who was very proud of being Italian. So the three of them go check out some dumpy houses. Apparently, the mayor, Francesca, is doing this one-euro housing program to help boost the village’s economy by bringing in new people. The first few houses are awful. But the last one? It’s amazing. The problem? It’s not technically on the list yet. Still, it’s clearly the one.Eric goes out with the mayor for gelato to talk more about the house. This guy named Bernardo, who’s in charge of permits and such, is also there—and he’s not fond of the idea of a non-Italian buying property in the village. He’s worried they’ll change things. As work begins on the house, Eric keeps trying to take over and pushes Liv to just renovate and sell it. But Liv stands her ground. Eric finds out Francesca has been widowed for five years—two years longer than he has. There’s this guy named Giovanni, a chef who’s very into Liv, but she’s not feeling it. Eric, however, likes him and is super impressed with his food. That gets Eric thinking: the villa has an authentic brick pizza oven and chimney.Eric invites everyone—including Francesca and Bernardo—to pitch the idea of turning the villa into a culinary school, which could help boost the local economy. He asks Giovanni to participate and encourages Liv to give him a shot.Eric and Francesca go on what might be a date… or might not. But things are getting serious.Meanwhile, Eric’s been gone for two months, and his employer tells him that the competition is trying to poach her. She’s considering the offer because she’s not sure Eric is ever coming back.Later, Eric and Francesca go to a beach party—and end up kissing. They head back to her place. The sparks are FLYING. Eric starts to wonder if maybe he should just stay and be close to his daughter. But then Liv drops a bomb—she has the opportunity to do a year-long interior design apprenticeship in Rome. Eric’s like, “That’s amazing!” And Liv says, “You should stay here and help run the villa!”Things take a turn when Bernardo finds out Eric and Francesca are together, and he’s not happy. At the unveiling of the restored fresco in what will be the culinary school, Bernardo brings in the American Longos, who he claims are the rightful owners of the villa. In response, Eric offers to give the couple the villa—if they pay for the renovations.Francesca isn’t about to give up without a fight. She investigates and discovers that the Longos are actually related to a different house in town, not this villa. She rushes to the train station to stop Eric just in time. He says he doesn’t want to leave, and she tells him, “You haven’t lost the villa. It’s all yours.”Some time passes. They open the culinary school. And they dance the night away. Ep 1430Hats Off To Love (Hallmark Channel - 2025)

Watch on Philo! - Philo.tv/DTHThe movie kicks off with big horses, big hats, and big fun! Cut to hotel employee Stella—well, so we think. She’s sneaking into a room for some mysterious reason. It looks like she’s wheeling in room service, but she’s shocked to discover someone is actually in the room. It’s Christian, and he’s confused because he didn’t order anything. Turns out, it’s not room service at all—Stella designed a hat that she’s trying to get in front of Christian’s mom, Rosalind, who is apparently a big deal.Christian helps Stella sneak out when his mom unexpectedly returns, but she accidentally leaves the hat behind. Rosalind sees it, loves it, and decides she wants to wear it. Christian tells her that the woman who designed it had just dropped it off, then heads down to the lobby to tell Stella the good news—and invites her back up to meet his mom.Rosalind is impressed and asks Stella to design a hat based on her outfit. Rosalind’s stylist is not a fan of Stella and is thrilled when Rosalind dislikes Stella’s first design. She even tells Stella to “bless her heart,” which Stella doesn’t realize is the sickest Southern burn. So it’s back to the drawing board—but this time, they’re doing a whole new look, dress and all.Stella starts hanging out with Christian a lot. They strike a deal: he’ll help her navigate Kentucky high society so she can design the perfect hats, and she’ll use her farm experience to help train Christian’s nervous horse for the Louisville Derby. (Spoiler: all the horse really needed was a song.)Then there’s this other dude, Davidson, who’s clearly into Stella—and Christian fricken hates this guy.Meanwhile, Rosalind’s assistant, Hannah, is super jealous of how much Rosalind likes Stella. She starts acting out: trying to embarrass Stella at a party, telling Christian that Stella likes Davidson (so he starts giving her the cold shoulder), and even trying to convince Rosalind not to wear Stella’s hat. But Odette steps in and convinces Rosalind to wear it—and she wins the hat-off!When Rosalind realizes Stella is missing, Hannah finally comes clean: she told Stella she wasn’t allowed to sit in the box. Christian rushes off to find Stella, and they make up.Then it’s time for the big race… and they win! Christian and Stella finally share a kiss! Ep 1429Yule Log 2: Branchin' Out (Adult Swim - 2024) ft. Alonso Duralde

Watch on Philo! - Philo.tv/DTHThe movie kicks off with—yep, you guessed it—a yule log. A woman named Dianne shows up and begins vacuuming the floor. There's a knock at the door, and it's another woman claiming her car broke down. Suddenly, her son invites himself in, and we see Dianne get pushed down in front of the camera. Then a masked man appears and comes after her. Just then, the video is paused, and we realize the police are watching the footage. Apparently, Dianne doesn’t make it—and she’s not the only one. From what I gather, Dianne was cleaning the house for a group of renters who were about to arrive. And they do. All of them end up dead—except one: Zoe. But Zoe is not doing well. And Zoe knows the truth: it wasn’t a person that did this. Rather, it was a killer log that floats around and murders people.Speaking of which, a police officer is watching more of the tape when he hears a noise from the evidence room. He goes to check it out—and it’s the yule log. He tries to fight back, but the yule log saws off his leg with a chainsaw and blows up the building with dynamite, destroying the tape.Zoe tries to return to normal life, but she keeps seeing the log everywhere and ends up getting fired from her job. The police tell her the case is closed—they're convinced the masked man is the killer. Zoe insists, “No, it’s the log!” But no one believes her.Her friend Jakester suggests they get away from it all and spend Christmas on an island. They get in the car—but Santa makes them crash into a tree. A tow truck driver shows up, and he’s a total hunk.Zoe starts wandering around this small town, axe in hand, and notices things get oddly brighter when she enters Main Street. She keeps bumping into hunks, but she doesn’t have time for that. The first hunk is an influencer named Bo Regards, and he announces, “WE’RE GOING TO GET DINNER!” After the fourth hunk knocks her over, she yells for help. A hunky Christmas ornament shop owner comes to her rescue and brings her inside. She meets his kid and his Nana and learns that the guy—Bert—is a widower. She accidentally knocks over all the ornaments and tries to fix them, but then she gets a text from Bo about dinner plans. Turns out Bo has opened his own competing ornament shop. Unfortunate.Meanwhile, the yule log is on its own adventure. It sneaks into the trunk of a family going camping and proceeds to brutally kill them all.Bo agrees to let Zoe use his helicopter, but it leaves without her. As she walks back to town, Bert and his family pick her up and offer to let her stay with them. She opens up to Bert about what happened, and he’s like, “Don’t worry—I know just what you need.” He’s built a machine that helps people process trauma. And it works. Her life changes. She’s full of holiday cheer and no longer afraid of the yule log.Zoe and Bert have a wonderful day together—blowing bubbles by the creek, sliding down a fire pole, etc. Everything seems great—until we see the yule log peeking around a corner. But don’t worry—Santa shows up and captures it in a bag. He runs it through a wood chipper, then buries the pieces in a shallow grave and pours cement over it. Looks like the nightmare is finally over.Except… one tiny wood strip escapes. It flies through the air and gives Nana a splinter. They all go inside for dinner, and—don’t ask me why—Zoe opens the freezer and sees a mini version of Nana, who invites her inside. Zoe climbs in and shrinks down too. Her ex, Alex, is also in the freezer, working on his boxing skills. (I have no idea, man.)The next day, Nana complains about her stomach—but I’m sure it’s nothing. At Christmas dinner, chaos erupts. Nana starts vomiting all over the food and then starts choking. One of the Cards tries to give her the Heimlich when suddenly they’re stabbed by a giant tree branch. More branches burst from Nana until her head pops off—and the yule log crawls out from the head hole.Nana Yule Log heads to the town square, where the Yule Log Festival is happening. She lights all the other yule logs on fire, and they begin attacking the townspeople. She tracks Zoe and Bert back to his house, where they discover that the ashes of their loved ones are the only thing that can extinguish the fire. They win! Zoe decides it’s best to leave town. But in the end, she returns for the store’s grand re-opening—and kisses Bert. Ep 1425Signed, Sealed, Delivered: To the Moon and Back (Hallmark Chanel - 2025) ft. Erin Shea

Watch on Philo! - Philo.tv/DTH *Producer note: a listener has explained to me how PO boxes work* A woman walks into a bar as Oliver narrates over the scene. We see that she ends up in the background of a selfie while she’s walking around. She sits at the bar, writes a letter, and puts a stamp on it. When she notices the cops looking around, she quickly leaves, causing the letter to fall to the floor and get kicked under the bar. Fast forward five years: the gang is at brunch. Ramon brings them a letter he found under the bar — it turns out this brunch spot and the nightclub from five years ago are one and the same. They can't make anything out from the outside of the letter, so they open it. Unfortunately, the letter couldn't be less helpful — it's even signed "Me," almost as if it’s written in code. We also find out that Shane and Rita are both pregnant! Yippie! Oliver and Shane go to tell Oliver’s dad that they’re expecting. Oliver is also working with his dad to open a postal museum. While going through the attic, Oliver’s dad finds a box labeled "For Oliver Someday" and quickly tries to hide it. The next day, they're back at the office when Charley reads the letter and immediately realizes that the author is talking about the now-famous artist Nate Hallaway. Shane looks him up and sees he’s playing a gig in Vegas. ROAD TRIP! Oliver and Shane go to a doctor’s appointment, and everything is looking good with the baby. However, Oliver realizes he knows very little about his family history. He goes to talk to his dad, who then gives him the "For Oliver Someday" box. Meanwhile, the gang makes it to the Vegas show. At first, Nate acts like he doesn’t know what they’re talking about. But after the show, he admits the truth: the letter is from a woman named Tracy Rio. She wrote his best songs. That night, she had suddenly disappeared without telling him why. Since then, she has been sending him songs and he sends money via a P.O. box every month. The team stakes out the P.O. box until someone matching Tracy’s description shows up. They follow her and discover that she’s now a caregiver. She invites them in and shares her story: she’s been on the run ever since her dad robbed a bank when she was a child. Her whole family has been "wanted" ever since. When she turned 18, her mom gave her money and stamps, and they communicated through a postal box. After that fateful night, she assumed the box no longer worked and never wrote again. She asks the team to find her mom and tell her she’s okay. While working on this, Oliver reads through the letters his dad kept and begins to question why his dad held onto them all these years. As he’s processing all of this, Oliver tracks Tracy’s mom to a nearby church. He delivers Tracy’s letter and tells her he must report her to the police. However, he finds out she has another daughter who will turn 18 in six weeks, so he agrees to give her that time before reporting her. Oliver and his dad have a heart-to-heart about fatherhood and reconcile. Six weeks later, it’s time for the gala to raise money for the postal museum. Tracy — whose real name is Lilly — shows up, and her mom is there too. Lilly goes on stage to sing. Meanwhile, Oliver tells her mom that it’s time: the feds are waiting. She turns herself in, and Oliver reunites Lilly and Nate backstage. The movie ends with the gang hanging out, drinking Yoo-hoo, and Rita finding out that the baby they’re adopting was just born — so they rush off together. Ep 1422Best Christmas Pageant Ever (2024) ft. Alonso Duralde

Watch on Philo! - Philo.tv/DTHYou need to know something right off the bat: the Herdmans are the worst kids in the world. There’s Imogen, the eldest, then Ralph, Leroy, Claude, Ollie, and Gladys. They smoke. They curse. They bully. They’re just plain bad.Enter Beth Bradley, our narrator. Early on, her locket gets stolen, and she prays to God to send the Herdmans far, far away.Meanwhile, the church’s 75th annual Christmas pageant is coming up—it’s a big deal. Mrs. Armstrong, who’s directed it every year, breaks both her legs, so Beth’s mom, Grace, steps in. Despite all the skeptics, she boldly claims it’s going to be the best Christmas pageant ever.Beth’s little brother Charlie has been getting bullied into giving Leroy Herdman his lunch cookies. Out of frustration, Charlie tells them he doesn’t even care—he gets all the snacks he wants at church.Big mistake.Leroy spreads the word to his siblings, and the next thing you know, the Herdmans show up at church. The pastor says they’ve got to attend Sunday school first—so they do.But even more shocking than them staying is when Imogen declares she’s going to play Mary, and Ralph is going to be Joseph. The rest of the major roles? Also claimed by Herdmans. The other kids decide it’s probably best not to argue. When the church community hears about this, they protest: You can’t let the Herdmans be in the pageant! At the first rehearsal, Grace realizes something big—the Herdmans have never heard the story of Jesus. They’re stunned by it. They demand King Herod be included in the play… and that he be taken out.Imogen ropes Beth into helping them research the story of Christmas at the library. The final dress rehearsal is a mess. Imogen’s brothers hide the baby Jesus doll, the choir falls apart, and a fire alarm goes off. Everyone assumes Imogen pulled it—or that she was smoking in the bathroom. Turns out, something just burned in the oven.Imogen overhears the townspeople badmouthing her family and decides they’re done. The Herdmans vanish. The next day, Grace can’t get ahold of them. Beth goes to Imogen’s house and reminds her that Grace stuck up for them. Imogen gives no sign of what they’ll do. So that night, as Grace prepares to open the show, she tells the audience honestly—she has no idea what’s going to happen. And then, just in time, the Herdmans show up.They bring their own flair to the pageant: Imogen gently burps the baby doll, the Wise Men bring a ham, and Imogen even sheds a tear. The crowd is unexpectedly moved—they love it.The film closes with a grown-up Beth now directing the Christmas pageant herself, carrying on the wild, wonderful legacy of the Herdmans. Along the journey, they stay in homes of kind locals who welcome pilgrims. He even rides back on horseback to retrieve her devotional book. What a guy.One night, they’re sitting by the fire and almost kiss, but they stop when the power goes out and they’re left in the glow of the flames—because of course that would be too romantic to actually follow through. Now, something you should know about Luis: he avoids spending time with his son, Mateo, as much as possible. Mateo doesn’t seem to care—until one night when Luis misses family dinner because he lost track of time hanging out with Monica. That’s when things shift.Monica starts to feel like she’s getting in the way of Luis and Mateo’s Camino experience, so she quietly slips away.Later, Mateo turns to his dad and asks, “Do you love her?” And Luis is like, “Yeah.” So off they go to find her. They arrive at what many consider the end of the Camino—but she’s not there. She kept walking. Monica makes it to the true end of the path and kneels to pray. Just then, Luis shows up, interrupts her prayer, and is like, “Hey, boo boo.”They decide they want to walk through life together—and they kiss. Ep 1405Dear Santa (Paramount+ - 2024) ft. Alonso Duralde

Watch on Philo! - Philo.tv/DTHThese parents are downstairs arguing about where the angel is that's supposed to go on top of the tree. Their young son, Liam, overhears them. He decides to write a letter to Santa. He comes downstairs and tells his parents about the letter and we get a lot of info - he's in the 6th grade so his dad is concerned he's still writing to Santa. They moved to this town 3 months ago but his parents are still surprised to find out he made a friend. For some reason, Liam lies and says Gibby has cancer. Needless to say, Liam is a bit awkard and we also find out that he has dyslexia. The next day at school, he is captivated by his crush Emma who even stands up for him when kids make fun of his dyslexia. After school, he goes to drop off his letter to santa but accidentally misspells "Santa" as "Satan". Next thing you know, Satan shows up in the middle of the night. Liam still believes he is Santa despite the fact that he doesn't look like Santa and he has devil horns. Satan figures out what happened and decides to play along and offers to grant Liam three wishes. Not sure what to wish for, Liam wishes that Emma would give him a chance. At school, he notices that Emma is really staring at him. Satan appears in a mini version and tells him to go shoot his shot. He invites her to the Post Malone concert and she is very excited. Liam tells Gibby about his encounter with "Santa". Gribby is like it has to be a mistake. So Liam confronts Santa and figures out he's Satan and tries to get out of the deal. Satan says that when he makes his final two wishes, which he guarentees Liam will make, then Liam's soul belongs to him. Liam gets home and is greeted by his parents and a child psychologist. His session is interrupted by Gibby and Satan, who take Liam to the concert. With a little help from Satan, Liam is called onto the stage by Post Malone who calls Liam his inspiration. He dances and brings Emma on stage. Afterwards, she kisses him on the cheek! Everything is going great except Gibby is starting to feel a little left out. Later at home, Liam uses his second wish to fix Gibby's teeth and invites Gibby to join his date with Emma at the local Christmas carnival. His parents become incredibly concerned when they overhear the conversation about Satan. So they go and pick him up at the carnival and bring him to the good doctors clinic. Satan tries to make Liam use up his third wish by showing him images of Gibby and Emma apparently enjoying the carnival without him but he's not falling for it. His parents then see a video of Liam at the Post Malone concert and they realize that he wasn't lying to them afterall. Liam locks himself in his room and facetimes Gibby and yells at him for hanging out with Emma and tells him that he's the one who fixed his teeth. Liam then overhears his parents aguing about the death of his brother Spencer. Liam, fearing that his parents are going to call it quits, goes to the hotel that Satan is staying at and wishes that his parents would stay together and be happy. It immediately works and his parents have a real heart to heart. But now knowing that he's going to hell, Liam decides to give into bad. He's ruthlessly mean to everyone. Emma tells him he's being a jerk and he begins to feel bad.Meanwhile, in Hell, we find out that Satan is in fact not Satan, but just a low level demon, who has failed his trial to become a full demon: by granting two unselfish wishes, he has rendered the deal for Liam's soul invalid and is banished from hell forever. Satan visits Liam and tells him about the deal's cancellation, and Liam figures out that he is not the real Satan. Before leaving, Satan confesses how much he has come to like him and explains that the third wish was negated because Bill and Molly made up on their own, so he used the contents of Liam's original letter to fulfill a third and final wish. Now wanting to use his powers to help others, Satan takes the form of an angelic dove and flies away. Watch the show on Youtube - www.deckthehallmark.com/youtubeInterested in advertising on the show? Ep 1404When Calls the Heart - S12E12 - Must Be Gold (2025) ft. Jacklyn Collier

Watch on Philo! - Philo.tv/DTHBaby Jack is back and better than ever, out there throwing the baseball with Nathan. It's almost as if the ordeal of diabetes is behind them—her words, not mine. Graduation is quickly approaching for the first time in 12 seasons. Nathan and Elizabeth are as in love as ever, matching outfits and all.Rosemary is talking to Bill about how she isn't going to publish this story without knowing where the gold is. She suggests interviewing Edie—maybe she'll open up more about what she knows.Nathan is talking to Oliver and gives him a form stating that he'll be stationed in Fort McNeil after he graduates. Oliver doesn't seem thrilled.Rosemary goes to talk to Edie and notices a map behind her. Edie tells Rosemary that her uncle drew it. Silly uncle, always drawing maps. The kids all present their project-based learning projects in front of parents, and Lucas is impressed. He tells Elizabeth he's going to talk to the district about implementing this at other schools.Elizabeth gets a letter from her grandma, telling her that Cape Fullerton has great doctors and essentially encouraging her to move for the sake of Baby Jack. But Baby Jack is fine. I'm sure there's nothing to worry about.Lucas and Edie are playing cards, talking about her uncle, and they decide that maybe they should try to find the gold coins and return them to their owners.Bill, Rosemary, and Nathan are looking at the map when they suddenly notice that the well is GIANT on it. Maybe it's a clue. Maybe this map is actually a treasure map!Oliver fails his final exam on purpose because he doesn't want to leave Hope Valley. Elizabeth goes to talk to him, and then they play tag.Edie and Lucas decide to go dig at the well when Rosemary, Nathan, and Bill show up too. They all start digging together and find a chest full of coins! They go back to the office to discuss. When Edie realizes the map is a treasure map, she figures there might be a secret message from her uncle. She holds it up to a candle, and a message appears. He explains how he found the gold and used it to pay for Edie's law school. He says the rest of the gold is hers too. There's a sweet storyline about the townsfolk rallying around Angela and Minnie, which is nice. It's graduation, and since it's being held at the saloon, there's a dance afterward. Lucas tells Elizabeth that the school board is interested in hearing more about the curriculum, but she's not sure about leaving Baby Jack right now.The season looks to be ending peacefully until late that night when Elizabeth notices Baby Jack lying motionless on the couch. She screams for help. Faith rushes over and says, "We got a bad batch." She tells Elizabeth that maybe Cape Fullerton would be best for Baby Jack after all. So they hop in a car, and she gives Rosemary a note to give to Nathan.Nathan and Allie go after them, honking the horn. They all get in the car, and Nathan tells Elizabeth that wherever she goes, he goes—and then they kiss. Ep 1398Carry-On (Netflix - 2024) ft. Alonso Duralde

Watch on Philo! - Philo.tv/DTH Ethan works for TSA at LAX On the busiest travel day, according to him - Christmas Eve. His pregnant girlfriend, Nora is trying to get Ethan to try to go through the police academy again even though he failed last time. But that seems hard so he decides he going to really try to move upward in the TSA, so he gets to work and asks his supervisor, Phil, to assign him to manage a baggage-scanning lane, cuz that's what the big dogs do.While on duty, Ethan finds an ear bud and is instructed to put it in. He begins to hear the voice of a bad guy we know just as the Traveler, who threatens to kill Nora unless Ethan allows a specific carry-on bag to pass through the scanner without interference. The Traveler’s accomplice, the Watcher, monitors Ethan remotely via the airport security cameras, making sure he can’t call for help or do any funny business. Ethan secretly tries to alert his co-worker with a message written in invisible ink, but before he can act, the Traveler poisons him and causing him to have a heart attack.Jason's boss notices Ethan is kinda all over the place so he replaces him with his friend Jason. When the Traveler threatens to kill Jason if Ethan doesn’t comply, Ethan plants an alcoholic drink at Jason’s workstation and rats him out for being drunk on the job. Back in control of the scanner, Ethan lets the instructed carry-on bag through but later finds out that it contains this deadly nerve agent.Meanwhile, LAPD detective Elena Cole investigates a double homicide tied to the smuggling of said nerve gas. She suspects shady doings at LAX so she orders a terminal-wide sweep and Ethan secretly flags the bag guy for inspection. Suspecting Ethan’s interference, the Traveler confronts him in a restroom, leading to a scuffle where Ethan manages to seize the Traveler’s plastic gun. The Traveler is like big whoop and arms the bomb.So Ethan has to go stop the bag guy from being inspected and hopefully disarm the bomb, which he does but not before his boss is killed by the bag guy who then reveals to Ethan he’s also being blackmailed—his husband, Jesse, is being held hostage by the Watcher. The Traveler shows up and grabs the bag case and orders the Watcher to kill Nora, but Ethan uses the original bag guys phone to warn her and she escapes. On the way to the airport Detective Cole realizes this officer she is with is an imposter working for the Traveler and kills him. She then gets to the airport, finds Ethan, only to find out that Ethan is trying to stop the bomb and pleads for her to trust him. They discover the Traveler’s target is a Congresswoman who’s on a flight to Washington, D.C for a meeting about weapon funding. The planned attack is going to to implicate Russia, and would then get massive defense spending approved and bad guys like that. The Traveler boards the flight, unaware Ethan has swapped the bomb into a similar but larger suitcase, forcing him to stow it in the plane’s cargo hold. Ethan sneaks into the hold to disarm the bomb while Nora persuades Cole to let the flight take off, so that the Traveler wouldn't suspect anything shady. but he gets a notification that someone is working on the bomb, so he figures it out and goes down to stop Ethan. Before the Traveler can rearm the bomb and escape via parachute, Ethan locks him in an airtight refrigeration unit with the nerve agent, killing him. The plane safely returns to the airport.A year later, Ethan, now a police officer, travels with Nora, their son, and Jason’s family on a trip to Tahiti. At a TSA checkpoint, Ethan places his LAPD badge in the scanning tray, having finally achieved his dream. Ep 1397Mystery Island: Winner Takes All (Hallmark Mystery - 2025)

Watch on Philo! - Philo.tv/DTHEmilia is sneaking around this massive house with a flashlight. She stumbles upon Jason, and he's like, "I'm here to help." They open up the freezer and see a body. Turns out they're actually just envisioning what their new murder mystery will be. They are working to get Mystery Island back up and running, and they decide to run a contest. It'll be good for publicity, and the contest winners will be able to solve a mystery! The winners show up, including Detective Bobby Teller from the NYPD, Alice, who runs a mystery podcast, and CC, who is a mystery author. It's a whole fun crew! Emilia notices that Fredricks, who is like the storyteller of the mystery, is being a bit odd. She notices him talking to some of the guys in private. Just as the guy who is supposed to "die" begins to choke, an explosion happens outside that was not planned. So he stops "dying," and they all go outside and see Fredricks dying from the explosion. Jason goes to check on him, but he can only say the word "arrest" before he dies. This is now a real crime scene! So obviously, Emilia and Jason are on the case, and they figure out that Fredricks wasn't the target—rather, the COO of Mystery Island, Janey, was. Detective Bobby ends up dead after they started to suspect he may have done it. So basically, they figure it out. It was the actor they brought in to act like he was dying—James. He did it. There are so many reasons why he did it; it takes like 10 minutes to explain. But what really matters is that they have his DNA to prove it. So yay. He's arrested, and Mystery Island will have another mystery soon where someone else will almost definitely die. Ep 1394The Way Home - S03E10 - If You Could Read My Mind (2025) ft. Ryan Pappolla

Watch on Philo! - Philo.tv/DTHThe episode starts with a full montage showing Alice time traveling to the '90s for the first time—the moment from way back in season 1. She meets Colton, and when he hears she was swimming in the pond, he is immediately suspicious of her. He remembers that she’s the one he met back in the '70s.Back in the present, things aren't looking good for Jacob. Charges may be pressed against him for attempted arson—I mean, they have him on tape!Present-day Alice goes back to the '90s to see Kat and Elliot play M.A.S.H. together—something she learned she was present for from her mom—and she’s excited to go back and see teenage Kat and Elliot again. Afterwards, she heads to the pond to go home. As she’s about to jump back in, Colton stops her and says, "You are who I thought you were! The same Alice from the '70s. It’s you!" She warns him not to ask any questions. She tells him the '70s were an amazing time she will cherish forever, and then jumps back in the pond.Elliot shows Jacob the thing he found in the clock—it turns out it’s a pendulum. Jacob says that’s how he feels, going back and forth between time. Elliot gets some mail from his dad, and inside is the ring.Alice is back at work, looking for a tape recorder to play some of Colton’s old recordings when Max walks in. They both talk about how they didn’t hate the kiss.Jacob goes to talk to Danny to apologize for using his garage code at work when he was attempting arson. He tells Danny he’s done enough to him, even though he doesn’t know the truth. Danny asks what he means, and Jacob just says, "Just that you thought for so long it was your fault." Danny tells him to scram. "Get. Leave."Alice and Kat are going through some of Colton’s old stuff when Alice recognizes a tape. It’s from the demo they recorded together, which includes a conversation Alice and Colton had about how much he loves Del. They play it for Del, and she asks them to take her to him via the pond. The three jump in together. Del and Kat pop up, but Alice is nowhere to be found. We see the pond took her somewhere else. As she gets out, Colton is there and says, "Jacob fell in the pond, didn’t he?!"We then see that earlier that day, Colton figured it out when he went to visit Evelyn and saw the painting of "My Katherine." He recognizes her. He knows that it’s his daughter who time-travels and remembers that she and adult Jacob were there when he traveled back to the 1800s. He figures out that Alice is his granddaughter. He tells her all of this and gives her his sweater. She tells him that Jacob does make it home, but he figures out he won’t be there to see it. He realizes he’s going to die.Alice jumps in the pond to leave, and Colton decides to give it one last shot—he jumps in, hoping to see his son again. Alice cries as she lands back in the present, taking off Colton’s sweater—the same one Elliot will one day find. The pond worked for Colton, and he watches his family on the night of the summer kickoff. That is, until Prudence discovers that he has a long-lost son.So, she shows up to talk to that son. It’s Johnny. She arrives in the middle of his karaoke performance and tells him that his father, the Duke, would like to meet him. He’s not interested until she talks to his mom, who never really told him about his father. She encourages him to go and meet him, and so off he goes. Prudence is surprised when he shows up and begins to notice that he’s a bit rough around the edges. He won’t even change his clothes to abide by the dress code. They meet, and you can tell they’re related because they both touch their hair when they’re uncomfortable. Johnny tells the Duke that he doesn’t want any money, he just wants to know why he left. This does not go well, so Johnny leaves and heads to a bar. Prudence tracks him down to try to convince him to stay. They agree to let darts decide his fate. Obviously, she wins, so back to the palace he goes.He starts hanging out with Prudence, riding bikes, getting to know more about the palace, his father, and learning more about her. They ride horses, he makes juice, and he’s actually starting to enjoy himself. It’s time for his first royal fancy dinner. He has a cousin that he really dislikes. So, when he stands up and tells the Duke that he’s excited to take his spot, Johnny stands up and tells his dad that he’s had a change of heart—he’s in. The next day, Prudence teaches him how to slow dance, and they almost kiss.He finally has a heart-to-heart with his dad. He finds out that he never received the letter that Johnny’s mom sent telling him about Johnny. And she never got his letters. I guess his dad was monitoring the mail. It’s a sweet moment, and the next day they go for a ride in the car that Johnny fixed. Johnny takes his dad to his juice operation and invites them all to the royal dance.Everything is going great until the cousin brings some shocking news: turns out Johnny’s right to the throne is illegitimate because Johnny was born after the marriage to Johnny’s mom was annulled. Johnny says, “Well, at least I got to meet my dad.” He goes to leave, and Prudence tries to stop him, but he leaves.Prudence isn’t going to give up so easily and thinks she’s found something. She goes to make sure Johnny comes to the ball, where his mom is waiting for him. She announces that the annulment certificate isn’t authentic. The Duke is left-handed, and his signature leaves a smudge. This one doesn’t have a smudge, so it’s not his signature. In fact, the Duke and Johnny’s mom are probably still married! The cousin is furious and leaves.Johnny and the Duke hug. Johnny gives a speech, and then he slow-dances with Prudence as everyone watches. They go outside, kiss—BIG OL' HONKIN’ ONES—and then run away. The next day, Johnny and Prudence are hanging out by the horses.
