Er ist Präsident der European Brand & Packaging Design Association und langjähriges Mitglied der Red Dot-Jury. Bevor er in 2020 MELICHAR Bros. gründete, arbeitete er über 25 Jahre bei der Markenagentur FACTOR. Mit seiner in Hamburg gegründeten Firma folgt er nun dem Motto "increase value, decrease waste“ oder: Wert hoch-Abfall runter. Dabei geht es dem Hanseaten um nachhaltige Verpackungslösungen für internationale Kunden. Mit Uwe Melichar sprechen wir darüber, was verpackt werden muss und was nicht. Wir besprechen, was überhaupt eine „nachhaltige Verpackung“ sein kann und wo man in Europa nachhaltiges Packaging erlernen kann. Schließlich verstehen wir, wieso das Wort ‚Müll‘ schleunigst aus unserem Wortschatz verschwinden muss.
