Corey DeAngelis on How Corrupt Teachers Unions Have Broken Our Public Schools
The school choice revolution has begun, providing parents with the power and resources to choose the best educational path for their children. Corey DeAngelis, a leading advocate for school choice and author of “The Parent Revolution,” explains why this movement is gaining unstoppable momentum. The disastrous school closures of 2020 changed the minds of millions of parents from default supporters of public education to vehement opponents, and now, twelve states have implemented universal school choice. Corey is a firm believer that tax dollars intended for education should be in the hands of parents and students, not broken school systems. It’s not just about offering alternatives—it's about breaking up the government monopoly that has long restricted educational opportunities, particularly for disadvantaged communities._____________________________________Follow Corey on X (formerly Twitter): https://x.com/DeAngelisCoreyPurchase a copy of “The Parent Revolution”: https://www.amazon.com/Parent-Revolution-Rescuing-Radicals-Ruining/dp/1546006869_____________________________________Outline:[0:00] The Parent Revolution[3:51] Public schools aren’t really “public”[8:33] Was has education become political?[24:14] Our schools are still segregated[39:12] Why doesn’t Texas have school choice yet?[50:00] “Remote learning” exposed the truth[57:49] Progressives have overplayed their hand[1:05:36] What about banning CRT and DEI?[1:13:34] Corruption in school board elections[1:20:13] Public sector unions shouldn’t exist[1:29:38] The school choice gold standard[1:33:16] Does school choice defund public schools?[1:40:33] Why does the government run schools at all?[1:47:32] How does the future of American education look?_____________________________________Watch the video version on YouTube: https://youtu.be/xnT4ly4dujwMake a tax-deductible donation to Dad Saves America: https://secure.anedot.com/emergent-order-foundation/dad-website?Visit our website: https://www.dadsavesamerica.com/ Get full access to Dad Saves America at www.dadsavesamerica.com/subscribe

Socialism Is Gaining Popularity. What Would Jesus Do?
Was Jesus a socialist? Lawrence Reed, President Emeritus of the Foundation for Economic Education, tackles this question in his 2020 book titled just that. Some socialists like to claim Jesus among their ranks, but the Bible says otherwise. In Lawrence’s view, the teachings of Christ emphasized personal responsibility, voluntary charity, and the ethical foundations of freedom. We explore key biblical passages that both directly and indirectly comment on the structure of society and the proper relationship between personal values and government force. While it would be unreasonable to expect direct biblical instruction on the minutiae of contemporary policy issues, the Bible does contain plenty of guiding principles that light the way for us._____________________________________Purchase a copy of “Was Jesus a Socialist?”: https://www.amazon.com/Was-Jesus-Socialist-Question-Answer/dp/1610171608_____________________________________Outline:[0:00] Was Jesus a socialist?[2:25] Socialism isn’t charity[9:01] What’s the Biblical evidence?[17:06] Are we forcing economics into the Bible?[20:48] The Golden Rule, pacifism, and fairness[28:27] Surrendering to your faith[33:55] Greed, wealth, and competition[44:44] Why Lawrence believes in free markets[52:10] Faith, freedom, and the Founding Fathers[1:00:46] Freedom requires virtue[1:11:46] The role of suffering in a life well-lived[1:14:39] Is the American Empire the new Rome?[1:22:44] Politics makes it hard to be good or happy[1:27:46] What do kids need to know about money?[1:35:35] Books that everyone should read[1:39:03] His dad taught him to tip generously_____________________________________Watch the video version on YouTube: https://youtu.be/BczAv4-lha8Make a tax-deductible donation to Dad Saves America: https://secure.anedot.com/emergent-order-foundation/dad-website?Visit our website: https://www.dadsavesamerica.com/ Get full access to Dad Saves America at www.dadsavesamerica.com/subscribe

Rob Schneider: Free Speech Is Dangerous, But Shutting Up Isn’t an Option
Comedian and actor Rob Schneider shares his perspective on the cultural and political shifts that have shaped his journey from a traditional liberal to a vocal critic of the progressive mainstream. Starting with his growing skepticism of vaccine safety around 2012, Rob noticed a stubbornness, and often outright hostility, in the public conversation toward questioning the “expert” managerial class. As a father, his commitment to his children drives his passion for defending the future of America against cultural trends that undermine our freedoms. Rob’s upcoming book, "You Can Do It!: Speak Your Mind, America," currently available for preorder, draws on his personal experiences in Hollywood and his firm belief in free speech._____________________________________Follow Rob on X (formerly Twitter): https://x.com/RobSchneiderPreorder Rob’s book: https://www.amazon.com/You-Can-Do-Speak-America/dp/1546007865/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1EP052M9Q75EI&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.vslXvnGWOQ1xM_xwmay8fgyQTtrS4SDqt7vSb-skD0P5VDV7mmPWz4cKmGjlObRJkB-ZkxEqPMqmvTFu0JcMmKezzoDY8OWdGLUrWdH4EYPgVKYtqNnXOTCi7q9-F7YP7zoqsF2Zu5uit0EnnuU_5X8tclpz2m4BOjechthuAn9r0CdkVRvGms4QxxIyVj8RI5pzrNtuSvyvupZEsLjh610yInLERUkVvWTeDF_1Xow.LZsT4KRX8U93sP8HZ3-2HBrKdTlfHY8yzdqSDkIytLk&dib_tag=se&keywords=rob+schneider+book&qid=1722970737&sprefix=Rob+Schneider%2Caps%2C110&sr=8-139:43:Watch “Rob Schneider: Woke Up in America”: https://nation.foxnews.com/watch/33f9379d3469f8f1d4834503f1d84515/_____________________________________Outline:[0:00] Liberal conservatism and authoritarian progressivism[5:58] Why Rob became skeptical of vaccines[15:41] How did vaccines become political?[19:13] Will Americans comply with another lockdown?[24:10] The modern Hollywood blacklist[31:09] Comedy is alive and well[39:23] Woke culture is bad for storytelling[46:28] The politics of transgressive comedy[55:15] Catholicism, marriage, and family[1:06:26] The good, bad, and ugly of immigration[1:12:48] America is the best, but it could be better[1:18:22] Change the world by raising good kids_____________________________________Watch the video version on YouTube: https://youtu.be/lEx1ZXYnMpQMake a tax-deductible donation to Dad Saves America: https://secure.anedot.com/emergent-order-foundation/dad-website?Visit our website: https://www.dadsavesamerica.com/ Get full access to Dad Saves America at www.dadsavesamerica.com/subscribe

Andrew Doyle: The Gay Rights Movement Has Been Hijacked
Playwright, journalist, and comedian Andrew Doyle sheds light on the growing pressures of today’s culture wars and their impact on free speech and public discourse. As the creator of Titania McGrath, his Twitter parody persona, Andrew is an expert at satirizing the worst and most absurd excesses of woke activism. He highlights the intolerance toward internal disagreements within the LGBTQ community and how this has created a false impression of the average gay person’s worldview. Andrew is an important advocate for dissenting voices and creative freedom, using humor to break through the politically correct facade of mainstream culture._____________________________________Follow Andrew on X (formerly Twitter): https://x.com/andrewdoyle_comFollow Andrew on Substack: https://andrewdoyle.substack.com/_____________________________________Outline: [0:00] Who is Titania McGrath?[7:06] Is wokeness America’s fault?[10:09] Andrew’s experience in academia[15:49] Why is political terminology so messy?[25:07] What do we mean by ‘fascism’?[32:00] Extreme activism and idea laundering[37:49] Language doesn’t create reality[40:30] Modern ‘Pride’ is anti-gay[44:39] Was same-sex marriage a mistake?[59:22] Where did the weird stuff come from?[1:15:10] The -TQ+ in LGBTQ+ is theology, not science[1:25:05] Is this all just communism?[1:30:08] Can we bring our culture back to sanity?[1:39:15] When do ‘pronouns’ make sense?[1:48:01] Why is Andrew a Catholic?[1:51:11] UK hate speech laws are out of control[1:57:38] The Count Dankula prosecution[2:01:12] British advice for America’s future_____________________________________Watch the video version on YouTube: https://youtu.be/iRUX0CDbEbIMake a tax-deductible donation to Dad Saves America: https://secure.anedot.com/emergent-order-foundation/dad-website?Visit our website: https://www.dadsavesamerica.com/ Get full access to Dad Saves America at www.dadsavesamerica.com/subscribe

Robby Soave on the Biden Media Coverup and Why Corporate Media Is Broken
I sat down with senior editor at Reason and host of The Hill’s “Rising” Robby Soave to explore the shifting landscape of media and politics in America. Robby provides a sharp critique of how the media has changed its tune on President Biden’s cognitive state, rapidly pivoting from denial to feigned shock and distress following the debate. He discusses how, although audience capture can corrupt both corporate legacy media and independent social media, the latter is far more resistant to the top-down engineering of public perception. Looking back fondly at the ‘good old days’ of Walter Cronkite may be comforting to some, but in reality, the only difference was the style of presentation. Centralized media institutions have never been, and will never be, unbiased purveyors of truth. With the technology most of us carry in our pockets every day, we have a better opportunity than ever before to make the most of our First Amendment rights._____________________________________Follow Robby on X (formerly Twitter): https://x.com/robbysoaveCheck out Robby’s work at Reason: https://reason.com/people/robby-soave/_____________________________________Outline:[0:00] The media is responsible for the coverup[5:39] What election outcome benefits the media?[7:43] How audience capture works[14:46] Why Robby didn’t think Biden would step down[22:05] Political chaos throughout the West[27:30] Why Democrats are worried about Project 2025[36:10] The rural-urban divide in America[40:18] The good, bad, and ugly of the social media era[48:58] Exposing the “Covington kids” story[57:14] The future of cancel culture in the AI era[1:00:13] How to stay sane in the 21st century[1:09:00] What happened to classical liberalism?[1:12:26] Make the most of your 1st Amendment rights_____________________________________Watch the video version on YouTube: https://youtu.be/k4Hbo4YpU2oMake a tax-deductible donation to Dad Saves America: https://secure.anedot.com/emergent-order-foundation/dad-website?Visit our website: https://www.dadsavesamerica.com/ Get full access to Dad Saves America at www.dadsavesamerica.com/subscribe

Tom Woods on the Trump Attack, American History, and Our Constitutional Crisis
I sat down with author, historian, and libertarian commentator Tom Woods about 90 minutes after the attempted assassination of Donald Trump. Reeling from the shock of this historic moment, we attempt to wade through its profound implications for the American Republic. Drawing on his wealth of historical knowledge, Tom analyzes how political tribalism, media echo chambers, and “state of emergency” governance are eroding our constitutional framework. He presents chapters from American history that outline our past and present pitfalls and model an optimistic path forward for Americans._____________________________________Follow Tom on X (formerly Twitter): https://x.com/ThomasEWoodsCheck out Tom’s podcast and books: https://tomwoods.com/_____________________________________Outline:[0:00] Reacting to the Trump assassination attempt[7:43] Does history repeat, rhyme, or neither?[11:46] How technological revolutions drive politics[15:08] Will Trump embrace this opportunity for leadership?[18:29] The Trump prosecution exposed our “justice” system[22:30] Revolutions can be fast or slow[28:34] Can the ‘Dobbs’ Supreme Court case fix our problems?[35:16] Does the Constitution actually constrain the government?[39:32] The United States is a collection of societies[51:25] Is civil war now on our national bingo card?[57:34] “Fox-to-CNN” isn’t the true range of legitimate opinion[1:05:44] How Christianity built our civilization[1:20:24] The Tom Woods School of Life_____________________________________Watch the video version on YouTube: https://youtu.be/mOGhkUIUzRUMake a tax-deductible donation to Dad Saves America: https://secure.anedot.com/emergent-order-foundation/dad-website?Visit our website: https://www.dadsavesamerica.com/ Get full access to Dad Saves America at www.dadsavesamerica.com/subscribe

How Public Schools Crush Creativity and Critical Thinking
I sat down with Hannah Frankman, founder of Renegade Educator and an advocate for alternative education models, to explore her insights on the flaws in traditional public schooling and the innovative approaches that could shape the future of learning. Hannah shares her personal experience growing up as a homeschool kid, which she believes is a more natural and effective approach that reflects how humans have learned for almost all of history. We delve into various educational models, from Montessori and Waldorf to micro-schools and homeschooling, and how each can foster critical thinking, creativity, and self-directed learning in children. Hannah also highlights the role of technology in education and the potential of micro-schools to revolutionize how we think about learning environments._____________________________________Check out Renegade Educator: https://renegadeeducator.com/Follow Hannah on X (Twitter): https://x.com/HannahFrankman?ref_src=twsrc^google|twcamp^serp|twgr^authorWatch the Hannah Frankman Podcast: https://youtube.com/@thehannahfrankmanpodcast?si=pjKIAHxrRpQmlyAC_____________________________________Watch the video version on YouTube: https://youtu.be/HiEuzszbcXkMake a tax-deductible donation to Dad Saves America: https://secure.anedot.com/emergent-order-foundation/dad-website?Visit our website: https://www.dadsavesamerica.com/ Get full access to Dad Saves America at www.dadsavesamerica.com/subscribe

Warren Smith Went Viral for Teaching Critical Thinking, So His School Fired Him
I sat down with Warren Smith, the high school teacher whose video of an incredible classroom interaction went viral earlier this year. After a student asked a loaded question about JK Rowling, Warren responded with a refreshingly calm and thought-provoking Socratic discourse on the topic. His interaction with this student was a masterclass in teaching how to think, not what to think. In our conversation, Warren shared his insights on effective teaching, emphasizing the importance of critical thinking, honest dialogue, and adapting to the ever-changing technological environment. He also opened up about the unexpected aftermath of his viral video, including the media frenzy, his subsequent firing, and his next steps as an educator and content creator._____________________________________Follow Warren on X (Twitter): https://x.com/WTSmith17Check out Warren’s YouTube channel: https://youtube.com/@secretscholars?si=hDhAarlgF0MrVOvS_____________________________________Outline:[0:00] The viral JK Rowling video[8:11] Teach by asking “Why?”[11:46] Why did Warren get fired?[21:03] Warren’s journey as a teacher[29:18] Start creating and don’t wait for permission[33:05] The challenges of classroom teaching[41:51] Filmmaking vs content creation[49:52] Influencers are legitimate entrepreneurs[54:39] Can 5 minutes of fame become a career?[1:02:59] The adults are failing the teens[1:13:25] Office politics vs cancellation[1:22:24] Transparency is the best defense[1:26:57] Warren’s plans for the future_____________________________________Watch the video version on YouTube: https://youtu.be/KtUwytOdfjwMake a tax-deductible donation to Dad Saves America: https://secure.anedot.com/emergent-order-foundation/dad-website?Visit our website: https://www.dadsavesamerica.com/ Get full access to Dad Saves America at www.dadsavesamerica.com/subscribe

Psychologist Tracy Dennis-Tiwary: I Want to Disrupt the Medicalization of Mental Health
I sat down with psychologist Tracy Dennis-Tiwary to explore her perspective on anxiety, resilience, and mental health. Tracy argues that anxiety has played a crucial role in driving human innovation and should be embraced rather than avoided. She delves into the challenges faced by Gen Z, emphasizing that their struggles often stem from avoidance and a lack of coping skills rather than anxiety itself. Tracy points out that while social media exacerbates mental health struggles, it isn’t the all-powerful corrupting force it’s often made out to be in public discourse. She also discusses her innovative work in “digital therapeutics,” designing mobile games with the potential to revolutionize mental health care._____________________________________Follow Dr. Dennis-Tiwary on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dr.tracyphd/Purchase a copy of “Future Tense: Why Anxiety Is Good for You”: https://www.amazon.com/Future-Tense-Anxiety-Though-Feels/dp/0063062100Learn more about Arcade Therapeutics: https://arcadetherapeutics.com/_____________________________________Outline:[0:00] How a conservatory musician became a psychologist[5:55] What is neuroscience?[8:48] Evolutionary psychology and “Thinking Fast and Slow”[13:48] What is anxiety?[19:31] Anxiety and stress during a 7-hour spacewalk[26:50] Gen Z struggles with avoidance, not anxiety[32:36] Social media is a negativity amplifier[38:17] What’s the best approach to screen-time for kids?[41:32] Using mobile games as a mental health treatment[47:59] Meaning, purpose, and happiness[52:36] Raise your kids to be anti-fragile[58:25] Anxiety is the secret to human innovation[1:04:48] Should parents intervene with bullying?[1:09:35] Mental health isn’t just about mental illness_____________________________________Watch the video version on YouTube: https://youtu.be/LTCzqQW-w_IMake a tax-deductible donation to Dad Saves America: https://secure.anedot.com/emergent-order-foundation/dad-website?Visit our website: https://www.dadsavesamerica.com/ Get full access to Dad Saves America at www.dadsavesamerica.com/subscribe

Legal Expert Ilya Shapiro on Trump Conviction, Our Constitution, and Collapsing Public Trust
I sat down with legal expert Ilya Shapiro to learn more about today’s threats to the rule of law in America. He shares his perspective on why the Trump conviction sets a dangerous precedent that undermines our system of justice. Ilya offers a thorough explanation of why legal rulings from courts are often in tension with the political choices of voters. His upcoming book, "Lawless," outlines how our elite institutions have miseducated the de facto ruling class in America, producing “leaders” who are illiberal and ignorant, or even contemptuous, of our constitutional system. We discuss why colleges, universities, and law schools lost their way, his experience being canceled at Georgetown, and the values that form the foundation of our legal system._____________________________________Follow Ilya on X (Twitter): https://x.com/ishapiroRead Ilya’s work on Substack: https://ilyashapiro.substack.com/Pre-order a copy of “Lawless”: https://a.co/d/96p6AkR_____________________________________Outline:[0:00] The Trump conviction is a travesty of justice[8:21] Our societal trust and understanding is broken[13:23] Soviet-style “justice” or rule of law?[20:29] Which questions should be left to voters?[25:43] How Trump could appeal his conviction[28:58] What is the “rule of law”?[38:22] The U.S. is not a democracy[45:08] American elites have been miseducated[57:03] Bureaucracy and ideology are ruining education[1:05:52] The “consumerization” of higher education[1:11:16] The New Deal broke the Constitution[1:16:36] The revolutionary politics of the Founding Fathers[1:20:03] Originalism, the spirit of the law, and legal precedent[1:29:33] Georgetown hired Ilya, then cancelled him[1:40:20] Intent and impact in the law[1:46:08] Antisemitism, free speech, and campus policies[1:51:08] Why should we have hope for the future?_____________________________________Watch the video version on YouTube: https://youtu.be/wO4A_7rVnqgMake a tax-deductible donation to Dad Saves America: https://secure.anedot.com/emergent-order-foundation/dad-website?Visit our website: https://www.dadsavesamerica.com/ Get full access to Dad Saves America at www.dadsavesamerica.com/subscribe

Former NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio Talks Progressive Family Values and Political Discourse
Bill de Blasio served as the 109th Mayor of New York City from 2014 to 2021. He was raised with a deep pride in his Italian-American roots, with grandparents who immigrated from small towns in southern Italy. His parents were affected by McCarthyism, despite no ties to Communist organizations. Experiencing the fallout from those accusations deeply influenced his political outlook. In our conversation, Bill emphasizes his progressive approach to family values and his belief that government can protect and uplift working families. Wilfred Reilly Has the Real Data on Racism and Policing
Political scientist, author, and Kentucky State University professor Wilfred Reilly has dedicated years of research to debunking popular, but false, narratives around race, culture, police, and American history. His upcoming book, “Lies My Liberal Teacher Told Me,” tackles head-on the myths most commonly spread in American classrooms. As Wilfred has documented throughout his work, the underlying data and historical evidence rarely tell the same story as the dramatic retellings we hear today. However, while often less salacious than our modern mythology, the truth gives far more reason for optimism about the current state of America and our future._____________________________________Follow Wilfred on X (formerly Twitter): https://twitter.com/wil_da_beast630Pre-order a copy of “Lies My Liberal Teacher Told Me”: https://www.amazon.com/Lies-My-Liberal-Teacher-Told-ebook/dp/B0BDZMZJ4CRead Wilfred’s work in National Review: https://www.nationalreview.com/author/wilfred-reilly/_____________________________________Outline:[0:00] Wilfred’s work at Kentucky State University[2:32] The real impact of BLM on crime and policing[11:44] Don’t start your reasoning from conclusions[18:34] What the 1619 Project gets wrong[28:01] “Lies My Liberal Teacher Told Me”[32:34] How can we filter out the lies?[39:41] Is crime getting worse?[44:31] Why are racial beliefs so far off reality?[52:16] Zero-sum thinking is primitive nonsense[58:31] We’re great at finding things to criticize[1:07:58] Teach your own family about reality[1:14:54] How to avoid becoming reactionary[1:24:55] Media twists good research into lies[1:29:13] AI, truth, and the future of society[1:39:05] Sensible 21st century immigration policy[1:48:37] College, career, and purpose_____________________________________Watch the video version on YouTube: https://youtu.be/e9NupFXqIlgMake a tax-deductible donation to Dad Saves America: https://secure.anedot.com/emergent-order-foundation/dad-website?Visit our website: https://www.dadsavesamerica.com/ Get full access to Dad Saves America at www.dadsavesamerica.com/subscribe

Peter Boghossian on Critical Thinking, Failing Universities, and Why Debate Matters
What happens when ideology replaces critical thinking across academia? Philosopher, author, and former professor Peter Boghossian witnessed this firsthand at Portland State University, and his school was not an anomaly. Known for his role in the “Grievance Studies Affair”, exposing the low quality scholarship published in activist-oriented journals, Peter is worried about how this strange fringe of academia has come to dominate universities. He’s now working to revitalize and advocate for what should be the core of education - critical thinking, open debate, and the rigorous pursuit of truth._____________________________________Follow Peter on X (formerly Twitter): https://twitter.com/peterboghossianPeter on Substack: https://boghossian.substack.com/Peter on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@drpeterboghossian/featured_____________________________________Outline:[0:00] Philosopher, author, and father[2:06] How tenure corrupts academic journals[13:50] Grievance studies and hoax papers[21:18] Reasoning vs rationalizing[29:56] Can ideology infect the hard sciences?[36:50] What makes people vulnerable to dogma?[46:33] Critical thinking isn’t allowed at school[50:56] Debate is a corrective mechanism[58:39] Why is debate under attack?[1:10:41] How can we protect our civilization?[1:18:50] Did the “New Atheists” create wokeism?[1:28:54] Truth, faith, and morality[1:42:32] What does a flourishing society look like_____________________________________Watch the video version on YouTube: https://youtu.be/p9_zQUVbwn0Make a tax-deductible donation to Dad Saves America: https://secure.anedot.com/emergent-order-foundation/dad-website?Visit our website: https://www.dadsavesamerica.com/ Get full access to Dad Saves America at www.dadsavesamerica.com/subscribe

Since 10/7, Russ has been motivated to further his understanding of the wide range of opinions about Israel’s complex history with Palestinians, questions of national identity, and the broader geopolitical landscape. Google, Surveillance, and Data Brokers: How Americans Lost Their Privacy Rights
Technology journalist and data privacy expert Naomi Brockwell explains the complexities of online privacy and the ever-expanding reach of both government and corporate surveillance. The “if you've got nothing to hide, you've got nothing to fear” mindset accepted by much of the American public is, best-case scenario, a sign a great privilege and comfort and, worst-case scenario, full-blown head-in-the-sand denial of reality. Bret Weinstein & Heather Heying on Sex, Gender, and Preparing Kids for Adulthood
In part two of my conversation with evolutionary biologists Bret Weinstein & Heather Heying, we discuss what evolutionary biology can teach us about sex, gender, adulthood, and religion. With the recent explosion in transgender identification across American society, along with the censorious condemnation of any criticism within polite circles, we must reexamine the nature of human individuality and our fundamental understanding of male and female. Bret and Heather give a thorough explanation of why biological sex evolved in the first place and how it’s actually defined scientifically. We then zoom out to how this particular issue is just one facet of a broader cultural trend that’s undermining our ability to become true adults who are capable of leading productive, fulfilling, and moral lives._____________________________________Watch the Darkhorse Podcast: https://www.youtube.com/@DarkHorsePod/featuredPurchase a copy of A Hunter-Gather’s Guide to the 21st Century: https://www.amazon.com/Hunter-Gatherers-Guide-21st-Century-Challenges/dp/0593086880Read Heather’s newsletter on Substack: https://naturalselections.substack.com_____________________________________Outline:[0:00] Why going outside really matters[4:51] Gender is the software of sex[13:55] Human flexibility vs inescapable biology[22:58] Monogamy, birth control, and casual sex[29:22] Transgender dogma undermines women’s liberation[37:31] Valuable diversity and the scientific method[44:42] The provisional role of scientific authority[47:09] How media twists true data to spread false narratives[52:39] What does it mean to be (and become) an adult?[1:01:55] Kids destroy your life…and give you something better[1:10:38] The purpose of traditional rites of passage[1:18:00] Adapting religious orthodoxy to the 21st century[1:24:23] Faith, Catholicism, and morality[1:33:53] How do we justify human dignity?[1:38:35] Be grateful for and protect what we have_____________________________________Watch the video version on YouTube: https://youtu.be/v5d7eBoVnvUMake a tax-deductible donation to Dad Saves America: https://secure.anedot.com/emergent-order-foundation/dad-website?Visit our website: https://www.dadsavesamerica.com/ Get full access to Dad Saves America at www.dadsavesamerica.com/subscribe

Texas School Falsely Accused Child of Blackface. Now They Won’t Apologize.
How could a 5th-grader end up being accused of accidental blackface? And how could the school recklessly throwing around that accusation refuse to apologize? Today’s guests are currently on a crusade to answer those questions. This incident touches on crucial issues our society currently faces, especially in our schools. When adults fail to be more mature and measured than the children in their care, inflating honest mistakes into serious accusations of bigotry, they elevate their sensitivities above those of the children and risk causing serious psychological harm. Furthermore, they model a censorious, chastising social dynamic as the ethical norm for those kids and further encourage the excesses of cancel culture, which already dominate our discourse.Outline:[0:00] Intro and disclaimer[1:58] Background of school incident[7:24] Teacher accuses her of racism[16:44] School officials demand an apology[22:50] Aftermath and reflection on the incident[30:19] Her parents’ initial reactions[41:58] Taking action against school misconduct[46:20] Suspicious behavior by the teacher[51:18] Why Jay ran for school board[58:58] Past issues with the school[1:04:34] Why bother making a big deal of this?[1:12:15] The bureaucracy kicks into gear[1:26:26] Schools need to be held accountable[1:33:25] Choosing schools depends on the child[1:40:55] Why take the story public?[1:46:16] The needs of kids should come firstWatch the video version on YouTube: https://youtu.be/u89XnoR74AQMake a tax-deductible donation to Dad Saves America: https://secure.anedot.com/emergent-order-foundation/dad-website?Visit our website: https://www.dadsavesamerica.com/ Get full access to Dad Saves America at www.dadsavesamerica.com/subscribe

Want To Save the Planet? Have Kids.
Have kids. Get married and have kids. Yes, in that order. But do it now, or at least sooner than you probably think you should, especially if you’re ambitious and on the move. Embrace the chaos. Embrace your nature. Embrace the future. Make it the rock-solid re-bar reinforced concrete foundation of your identity. You might just discover the biggest secret of our age: that having kids is the ultimate act of liberation.Having kids is an act of rebellion against a culture consumed by corruption and contrived catastrophe. There are plenty of reasons to rebel against our culture, which has produced the highest levels of anxiety and depression we’ve ever seen. We’re wealthier than any people to ever walk this planet, yet we’re increasingly stuck in place, unsure what direction to walk.Who can blame us? For decades, self-appointed gurus from the left and now increasingly the right have discovered they can build careers by convincing you to reject family, fatherhood, and the future itself. Some proclaim that humanity is a scourge on the planet. This message, couched in concerns about climate change, dominates our elite discourse. Meanwhile, influencers celebrate the single life as liberation from the patriarchy. If that laundry list of left-wing critiques isn’t enough for you, red-pill right-wingers are ready to say “hold my beer.”If you’re among the millions of people nervous about our planet, our future, and hesitant to bring more people into it, I totally get it, but here’s my challenge to you: take a deep breath, keep an open mind, and stick around to the end of this episode. You’ll be happier for it._____________________________________Outline: [0:00] Have kids now[6:18] The overpopulation myth[19:55] Climate alarmism is unscientific[35:16] The rise of anti-human religion[40:15] Embrace your creative nature_____________________________________Watch the video version on YouTube: https://youtu.be/8TXaVK5BwSQMake a tax-deductible donation to Dad Saves America: https://secure.anedot.com/emergent-order-foundation/dad-website?Visit our website: https://www.dadsavesamerica.com/ Get full access to Dad Saves America at www.dadsavesamerica.com/subscribe

Bret Weinstein & Heather Heying on Evolution, Innovation, and Western Civilization
Evolutionary biologists Bret Weinstein and Heather Heying dive into the complexities of human evolution, the downside of rapid technological advancement, and the interplay between cultural software and biological hardware. Bret and Heather discuss the obstacles that stand in the way of ‘good governance,’ how institutions positively and negatively affect the relationship between innovation and human flourishing, and the importance of understanding our evolutionary past to navigate our future. Their insights shed light on how scientific thinking can be applied to major philosophical questions and the challenges facing our society and species in the 21st century. Is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy the Antidote for Anxiety?
As a follow-up to last week’s episode on psychoanalysis, today’s guest is Dr. Camilo Ortiz, an expert in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Dr. Ortiz is a Professor of Psychology at Long Island University and a practicing clinical psychologist who is at the forefront of developing innovative treatments for child anxiety. Modern parenting styles tend to accommodate or even encourage avoidant behavior, resulting in children who never have the opportunity to build confidence and competence out in the world and contributing to our current anxiety epidemic. Not only is that bad for our kids’ mental health, it’s contrary to the values of American freedom. If you move through life focused on avoiding your fears, rather than pursuing your values, you’ll pass up on the opportunity to use that freedom to its fullest extent. Dr. Ortiz dives deep into the inner workings of anxiety, how CBT can reset your perceptions of risk and reward, and also shares how his personal journey reflects the psychological preconditions for pursuing the American Dream._____________________________________Visit Dr. Ortiz’s website: http://drcamiloortiz.com/Dr. Ortiz on X (Twitter): https://twitter.com/DrCamiloOrtiz_____________________________________Outline:[0:00] What is clinical psychology?[4:53] The kids are not alright[11:01] Boys and girls struggle differently[18:22] Parenting, avoidance, and anxiety[22:29] Short-term thinking and bad predictions[27:07] Act on your values, not your fears[35:45] Creativity, curiosity, and cognitive dissonance[42:15] Prove that your worst fears are wrong[49:14] Observe your thoughts without judgement[56:39] Thinking fast and slow[59:51] What is cognitive behavioral therapy?[1:07:40] Why exposure therapy is harder for kids[1:12:56] Kids need practice with risk and boredom[1:18:54] How effective is CBT?[1:25:55] The role of American freedom in parenting[1:29:14] Dr. Ortiz’s path to the American Dream_____________________________________Watch the video version on YouTube: https://youtu.be/AoutQ7eHYOYMake a tax-deductible donation to Dad Saves America: https://secure.anedot.com/emergent-order-foundation/dad-website?Visit our website: https://www.dadsavesamerica.com/_____________________________________Dad Saves America is a channel dedicated to celebrating heroic fatherhood while teaching the next generation of fathers strategies they can utilize in parenting their children. Childhood Isn’t Supposed To Be Stressful. Here’s How Parents Can Help.
Psychoanalyst and licensed clinical social worker Erica Komisar explains how psychoanalysis really works and how it can help parents better understand and support their children. Contrary to popular belief, psychoanalysis goes far beyond the Freudian theories you may have heard of. The field offers insight into the emotional intricacies of anxiety, attachment issues, and the pivotal role parents play in their child's development and mental health. Understanding how a child’s needs evolve as they grow older is crucial for parents to adjust to each stage and avoid either being emotionally neglectful or becoming overbearing helicopter parents. Childhood has become increasingly stressful in recent years, but with the right approach, parents can course-correct to counter the current cultural tides._____________________________________Visit Erica’s website: https://www.ericakomisar.com/Purchase a copy of Erica’s book, “Chicken Little the Sky Isn't Falling”: https://www.amazon.com/Chicken-Little-Sky-Isnt-Falling/dp/0757324002/ref=sr_1_2?crid=1S5UU4KCJMM62&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.aPYBQ-zCDgEDxNAhMqoXT0TzMerglVQ0kmmnirchy9BTSwIuTy8gH3R-bouaEjFgdnbuGH7nHBcFtuJKpZ_D017e8AFE21GGrr51s02X0QjP7481GmRlVzUiMizCoUq5rcVtEW8N__HhXqa_84Ty0yTdx35fI3MklpTZT8qwwHpIoA9SIOC-CkMrlqfuWVTkHa4LDJff26_cWSTwHaismg.4z9MC3xuxykYIKXQsbOdnCzPITCKbnj19qX8EZK64fs&dib_tag=se&keywords=erica+komisar&qid=1708644561&sprefix=erica+komisar%2Caps%2C103&sr=8-2_____________________________________Outline:[0:00] Psychoanalysis vs CBT[6:06] In defense of Freud[7:50] What is narcissism?[10:10] Why Erica became a psychoanalyst[11:52] What is anxiety?[16:03] Attachment issues and child development[21:01] Parents guide their child’s mental health[27:24] The genetic component of mental health[29:59] Provide sensitive, empathic nurturing[35:19] School is broken for both boys and girls[41:25] Adolescence is complicated[45:24] Emotional refueling still matters for teens[51:39] High school didn’t used to be stressful[57:55] Can parents course-correct successfully?[1:06:53] Be optimistic, but also do the work_____________________________________Watch the video version on YouTube: https://youtu.be/6vc4P6hiW88Make a tax-deductible donation to Dad Saves America: https://secure.anedot.com/emergent-order-foundation/dad-website?Visit our website: https://www.dadsavesamerica.com/_____________________________________Dad Saves America is a channel dedicated to celebrating heroic fatherhood while teaching the next generation of fathers strategies they can utilize in parenting their children. Andrew Tate, Pearl Davis, and the Case for Marriage
Brad Wilcox wants you to get married. In modern American society, cultural trends across the political spectrum discourage and devalue marriage as an institution, and economic incentives have only exacerbated this predicament. Some argue that marriage is a bad deal for women and others argue that it’s a bad deal for men, and Brad agrees that there are plenty of valid complaints to be made and addressed. However, he’s done his research and the data is clear. Marriage, including many traditional norms, is a net good for men, women, children, and American society as a whole.Brad is a Professor of Sociology and the Director of the National Marriage Project at the University of Virginia. Trump vs. Biden: Debunking the Myth of American Democracy
According to the National Assessment of Educational Progress, only 22% of 8th graders were proficient in civics, and only 13% in US history. If we want our kids to understand our political system, and how it actually works in reality, we’re going to need to role up our sleeves as parents and do it ourselves. But fear not, dear friends. Dad is here to help. Starting with this video, and throughout the year, I’m going to be breaking down the basics of how our political system was designed, how it seems to work in reality, and what we as citizens can do about it.So, in the words of civics advocate and Spielberg movie favorite Richard Dreyfuss, we must “teach our kids how to run our country before they are called upon to run it, or someone else will.”_____________________________________Arrow’s Impossibility Theorem Explanations: https://youtu.be/AhVR7gFMKNg?si=MNzLqzn52zel0XrT, https://youtu.be/Q60ZXoXP6Hg?si=vUexdKILAP1iwrUo_____________________________________Watch the video version on YouTube: https://youtu.be/92GPeTW_jnQMake a tax-deductible donation to Dad Saves America: https://secure.anedot.com/emergent-order-foundation/dad-website?Visit our website: https://www.dadsavesamerica.com/_____________________________________Dad Saves America is a channel dedicated to celebrating heroic fatherhood while teaching the next generation of fathers strategies they can utilize in parenting their children. Dr. Eithan Haim Exposed Texas Children’s Hospital for Secret Transgender Program
Last spring, former Texas Children’s Hospital surgeon and current whistleblower Dr. Eithan Haim exposed, in his words, that the hospital was lying to the public about the existence of their transgender program. Despite promises to cease such procedures, the hospital continued practicing transgender medicine on kids as young as 11.Texas legislators responded to the information revealed by Haim with the bi-partisan Senate Bill 14, outlawing transgender medical interventions on minors statewide. This ignited controversy and drew the ire of activists and hospital officials opposing any restrictions on transgender medicine.Eithan’s story took a legal turn as federal agents, presumably armed with internal server data, pursued him. He’s been threatened with prosecution from the federal government, and there is clearly a message being sent around those that seek to challenge the practice of transgender medicine and specifically in context of children. In our sit down with Haim, accompanied by his attorney Marcella Burke, we discuss his views on the dangers of transgender medicine for children, why he’s committed to protecting them from life-altering procedures, and the in depth story of everything that he has experienced over the last year.Support Eithan Haim's cause: https://www.givesendgo.com/texas_whistleblowerSubscribe and ring the notification bell so you don’t miss a single video!Subscribe to the podcast: https://anchor.fm/emergent-orderMake a tax-deductible donation to Dad Saves America: https://secure.anedot.com/emergent-or...Our Website: https://www.dadsavesamerica.comDad Saves America is a channel dedicated to celebrating heroic fatherhood while teaching the next generation of fathers strategies they can utilize in parenting their children. Leave the World Behind: Obama’s Critical Conspiracy Theory on Netflix
If the streaming charts are true, then there’s a good chance you’ve watched the collapse of America in Netflix’s new film Leave the World Behind. The film is many things, including pretty good, but most notably, it’s a conspiracy theory built on racial division, brought to you by former President and First Lady Barack and Michelle Obama. On one level, this is a classic disaster movie. There’re some great set pieces, it’s stylish and cinematic, and the whole thing feels pretty believable, but at another level, it’s a perfect manifestation of America’s cynical, elite nihilism. It’s an uncomfortable mix of warning and wish-fulfillment about national collapse that just happens to be executive produced by the Obamas. It’s important for us as adults, and especially as parents, to confront this vision and understand where it goes deeply wrong so that we and our kids can escape its siren call to nihilism, disempowerment, and despair._____________________________________The Glenn Show, discussing George Floyd and Derek Chauvin: https://youtu.be/0ffv4IUxkDU?si=M8tq3JYQ4oeelAo7Akbar Gbajabiamila on Dad Saves America: https://youtu.be/N2L_qNMM4gY?si=WNvHLwdHAflKqftn_____________________________________Outline:[0:00] America’s Race to Collapse[2:28] ‘Leave the World Behind’[18:43] Conspiracy Theories of Invisible Racism[28:03] Reasons to Have Hope_____________________________________Watch the video version on YouTube: https://youtu.be/GtBBSfeZ5qUMake a tax-deductible donation to Dad Saves America: https://secure.anedot.com/emergent-order-foundation/dad-website?Visit our website: https://www.dadsavesamerica.com/_____________________________________Dad Saves America is a channel dedicated to celebrating heroic fatherhood while teaching the next generation of fathers strategies they can utilize in parenting their children. Toxic Polarization, Civil War & Local Conversation
Kristi Kendall, an accomplished television producer and filmmaker, and Ben Klutsey, Director of the Program on Pluralism and Civil Exchange at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University, joined the show to discuss their new documentary film, Undivide Us. The film brings together people from diverse backgrounds to discuss highly contentious topics like gun control, abortion, and immigration, and dives into the pressing concerns of America's current political culture, exploring the risks of national division and the specter of civil unrest.Kristi and Ben stress the significance of local community engagement, advocating for a decentralized approach to defusing toxic polarization. They challenge media narratives that present black-and-white stereotypes as representing average Americans across the political spectrum and highlight the importance of nuance and perspective. Classical liberal values of mutual respect and curiosity can pave the way for a more united America if we take them seriously._____________________________________Learn more about Undivide Us: https://undivideusmovie.comProgram on Pluralism and Civil Exchange: https://www.mercatus.org/tags/pluralism-and-civil-exchange_____________________________________Outline:[0:00] Reasons to be optimistic about national unity[9:26] What’s going on inside newsrooms?[12:22] Making a movie about focus groups[18:38] The world of nuance in a simple question[22:56] Surprising perspectives on difficult issues[32:55] You can only have real conversations in person[37:42] The Pareto principle of online discourse[42:55] How do you deal with the instinct to radicalize?[51:51] Why have race relations broken down?[58:58] What is “liberalism” and why does it matter?[1:02:50] Changing opinions about people, not policy[1:08:32] Why are people rejecting an “American” identity?[1:18:44] Multi-ethnic democracy is a brand new experiment[1:23:13] People don’t want to bring conflict into their homes[1:31:43] Watch out for conversational terrorists[1:37:34] Keep the rules few, simple, and local[1:45:32] The need for marriage counseling in politics[1:48:42] How to watch “Undivide Us”_____________________________________Watch the video version on YouTube: https://youtu.be/xiDydADwz9kMake a tax-deductible donation to Dad Saves America: https://secure.anedot.com/emergent-order-foundation/dad-website?Visit our website: https://www.dadsavesamerica.com/_____________________________________Dad Saves America is a channel dedicated to celebrating heroic fatherhood while teaching the next generation of fathers strategies they can utilize in parenting their children. The Search for Moral Clarity: Bin Laden, Free Speech & the Future
Osama Bin Laden’s letter to America goes viral on TikTok. Free speech loses even more friends. Harvard rallies around the race card. We’ve watched a series of truly outrageous events unfold. All of them are deeply connected and a warning for the trajectory of our society. Too many of our kids have embraced the enemies of civilization, too many of our educational and cultural institutions are to blame, and at the heart of all of it is an assault on our nation’s founding principles: freedom of expression and equality under the law. These enlightenment values are being replaced by a resurgence of pre-industrial tribal barbarism masquerading as postmodern social justice. As parents, we need to get engaged in this battle of ideas with our kids and help them navigate this crazy world so they don’t end up as useful idiots taking to the streets in defense of evil. We must accept our responsibility to help them understand right from wrong, and be a lighthouse they can turn to in dark times. They’re not going to find that light anywhere else._____________________________________Outline:[0:00] The search for moral clarity[2:26] How we react to atrocities[11:19] Free speech for me, but not for thee[23:31] Know what we’re fighting for_____________________________________Watch the video version on YouTube: https://youtu.be/f0Aap3DQsSAMake a tax-deductible donation to Dad Saves America: https://secure.anedot.com/emergent-order-foundation/dad-website?Visit our website: https://www.dadsavesamerica.com/_____________________________________Dad Saves America is a channel dedicated to celebrating heroic fatherhood while teaching the next generation of fathers strategies they can utilize in parenting their children. Chronic Homelessness Is About Family Trauma, Not Housing
Alan Graham has been on the frontlines tackling homelessness for 25 years. As the CEO and founder of Mobile Loaves & Fishes, a social outreach ministry, Alan has been instrumental in developing innovative solutions, building genuine relationships with the homeless community, and providing sustainable, permanent support for men and women coming out of chronic homelessness.Alan’s journey began in 1998 when he, along with four friends, started delivering meals to homeless men and women from the back of a green minivan. This initial effort has since expanded significantly, with 20 trucks operating in multiple cities and over 6 million meals served so far. In recent years, Alan has taken his ministry to the next level with the Community First Village in Austin, Texas. Rather than the traditional shelter model, this project is an enclave of tiny homes and RVs, designed to create a real community for its residents, or as Alan likes to say, his neighbors. Alan and his wife Tricia have since moved into the community themselves, alongside over 350 formerly homeless neighbors. This interview contains adult themes and may not be suitable for younger listeners._____________________________________Mobile Loves & Fishes: https://mlf.orgCommunity First Village: https://mlf.org/community-first/_____________________________________Outline:[0:00] What is Community First?[11:55] Alan’s chaotic childhood[24:37] Helping intellectually disabled people changed his life[30:00] Surviving booms and busts in business[39:12] How Alan came back to faith and the Church[49:00] Founding Mobile Loaves & Fishes[59:55] Build relationships with the people you serve[1:07:54] Our culture breaks families in different ways[1:21:01] Community First builds homes, not houses[1:28:13] Navigating the civil liberties of homeless people[1:34:56] How does Community First work?[1:42:59] Who lives at Community First?[1:47:51] Changing the public perception of homeless people[1:53:26] Lightning round Q&A_____________________________________Watch the video version on YouTube: https://youtu.be/7eph5aXAmzoMake a tax-deductible donation to Dad Saves America: https://secure.anedot.com/emergent-order-foundation/dad-website?Visit our website: https://www.dadsavesamerica.com/_____________________________________Dad Saves America is a channel dedicated to celebrating heroic fatherhood while teaching the next generation of fathers strategies they can utilize in parenting their children. Don’t Let Identity Politics Ruin Your Thanksgiving | Direct Message
Our culture is suffering from a potentially fatal allergy. Identity politics has become a kind of autoimmune disease that threatens to kill the host. We've become hypersensitive to our superficial identities just as our kids have become hypersensitive to most of the components of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. We're going to need more than an emergency epipen if we want to stop this disease and get back on track to stability and health as a society. And no, we can't just “get along” in some utopian, post-identity abstract metaverse. Our challenge is much more complicated, and more human than that. If we don’t recognize and effectively treat what’s making us, and especially our kids, so dangerously hypersensitive about our own identities and downright allergic to every difference, our society might not recover from our next tribal anaphylactic shock._____________________________________Gordon Wood on Dad Saves America: https://youtu.be/1P7yMTNv31c?si=U2Q8kMIA0WmLYe_0_____________________________________Outline:[0:00] Identity politics is an autoimmune disease[1:41] Rise of peanut allergies[3:29] Importance of identity[7:01] Identity gone wrong[9:54] Think big and small_____________________________________Watch the video version on YouTube: https://youtu.be/1g8pzcvR8aYMake a tax-deductible donation to Dad Saves America: https://secure.anedot.com/emergent-order-foundation/dad-website?Visit our website: https://www.dadsavesamerica.com/_____________________________________Dad Saves America is a channel dedicated to celebrating heroic fatherhood while teaching the next generation of fathers strategies they can utilize in parenting their children. Harvard, Hamas, and the Barbaric Death Of Discourse In The West | Direct Message
The barbarians are at the gates, and we created them. The kids who’ve terrorized speakers on college campuses and HR departments in Fortune 100 companies. The kids who scream and cry and throw temper tantrums on TikTok over trivial encounters with ideas they dislike. The kids who believe speech is violence AND silence is violence. The kids who took to the streets and burned our cities after the death of one man, yet now come out in explicit support of the barbaric murder of more than 1400 innocent civilians in Israel. Why call them “kids”? Because they are OUR kids. And it’s OUR fault. We’ve coddled and encouraged a generation of barbarians through both intentional activism, confusion, and neglect. We’ve allowed our education institutions from K-through-PhD to be captured by the enemies of civilization itself and transformed into barbarian incubators. Our media and politics have not only cheered this on, but profiteered from it at every turn. And now, they are the barbarians inside our gates. And if we don’t do something about this right now, they will tear civilization itself to the ground. As a father of a high school senior, our family is looking at all of this in shock and horror. The stakes for my son’s future are high. And the stakes for our civilization are even higher._____________________________________Harvard Students Zero-Day Response to the Hamas attack: https://www.thecrimson.com/article/20...Harvard Administrators’ Cold-Blooded Academic Murder of Roland Fryer: https://youtu.be/m8xWOlk3WIw?si=t00hs0ryfPOrotzT_____________________________________Outline:[0:00] The Barbarians Inside Our Gates[2:34] Barbarism, Civilization, and Tribalism[5:22] Welcome to Harvard, Young Barbarians![12:58] Claudine Gay, Cancel Culture Warrior[14:19] The Canceling of the American Mind[15:42] The Barbaric Hijacking of High School Debate[19:06] Seduced into Utopia, disappointed into Nihilism[20:24] Religion and Reality Under Pressure[24:11] Practical advice for raising a healthy, civilized adult_____________________________________Watch the video version on YouTube: https://youtu.be/6noX5AUuzwUMake a tax-deductible donation to Dad Saves America: https://secure.anedot.com/emergent-order-foundation/dad-website?Visit our website: https://www.dadsavesamerica.com/_____________________________________Dad Saves America is a channel dedicated to celebrating heroic fatherhood while teaching the next generation of fathers strategies they can utilize in parenting their children. How The Declaration of Independence Changed World History | The Show
The United States of America is arguably the first nation in human history to be created consciously on the basis of Enlightenment ideals. Those ideals were captured with power and poetry in the Declaration of Independence and have animated millions of people to immigrate to this country seeking a better life. You’ll find no greater champions of American ideals than first generation immigrants.Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the rest of us. According to recent polling by the Wall Street Journal, patriotism has utterly collapsed as an important value for most Americans. Thomas Jefferson is often quoted as having said, “An educated citizenry is a vital requisite for our survival as a free people.” By that measure, we’re failing future generations.Today’s guest, Gordon Wood, is one the world’s leading experts on America’s revolutionary history and currently a professor at Brown University. Throughout his storied career, Gordon has earned a Pulitzer Prize, a National Humanities Medal, and the Bancroft Prize. Gordon has authored, co-authored, and contributed to dozens of books on the American Revolution, including his award-winning titles The Creation of the American Republic and The Radicalism of the American Revolution._____________________________________Outline:[0:00] Intro[3:33] The Founding Fathers weren’t always a big deal[8:49] America is a nation of ideology, not ethnicity[11:16] Testing Enlightenment ideals for the first time[15:12] How “United States” changed from plural to singular[21:02] What are “these truths” and why are they “self-evident”?[28:47] The Freemasons organized the opposition to monarchy[32:11] English monarchy was radically liberal compared to France[36:08] The Declaration of Independence is a long list of complaints[44:57] The American colonies fought for the rights of English Constitution[48:54] How do you organize 13 colonies to win a war?[51:24] The American Revolution made slavery a central moral question[1:01:48] Approach historical narratives holistically, not ideologically[1:04:43] Can we regain the lost confidence of our fellow Americans?[1:12:27] Outro_____________________________________Watch the video version on YouTube: https://youtu.be/1P7yMTNv31cMake a tax-deductible donation to Dad Saves America: https://secure.anedot.com/emergent-order-foundation/dad-website?Visit our website: https://www.dadsavesamerica.com/_____________________________________Dad Saves America is a channel dedicated to celebrating heroic fatherhood while teaching the next generation of fathers strategies they can utilize in parenting their children.
