Lady! It’s the holiday season and it seems that the world is beginning to slow down and begin the restoration and hibernation process. But if you’re a caregiver you know that your job never really stops. In fact, caregiving is often an around-the-clock job that can be overwhelming – especially if it is a sudden change and you have little to no support. Dr. Dom and Terri understand and empathize with how taxing the role can be even when it comes with some of life’s sweetest rewards, which is why they invited Pamela D. Wilson, caregiving expert and author of The Caregiver Trap: Solutions for Life’s Unexpected Changes and host of The Caring Generation Podcast, to discuss tips and solutions for a wide range of caregiver topics.
Pamela covers how to navigate a new world that can often be frustrating and expensive and offers a host of resources to help you begin your journey into caretaking. And, if you’re already well down the road or one of the sandwich generation (who are taking care of both parents and children), but feel resentment building and maybe even experiencing burnout, she has some tips and perspective to help ease some of that tension.
