Hey lady! The holiday season is upon us and as you know this season can bring a wide range of emotions. Some of us are excitedly preparing to gather with our loved ones for times of good cheer. Some of us are grappling with the realities and nuances that grief brings when the people we love are no longer here. Some of us are lonely and this season is a glaring reminder of the community – or lack thereof – that we’ve cultivated. All of these experiences bring lessons that we can use and apply to our lives.

This week, Terri and Dr. Dom talk about what the holiday season means to them as they’ve aged. They share personal stories about growing up and what lessons they gleaned from the elders in their lives and offer perspectives about how those lessons have been successfully applied to their personal journeys.
