In week 18 of our series on the Gospel of Mark, Pastor Kevin Queen walks through Mark 6:7–13, where Jesus sends His disciples out for the first time to preach the Gospel. One of His instructions is to “travel light” – an instruction that still rings true today:  Carry less. Trust more. When our hands are empty, our hearts are more open to receive what only God can provide. God is always preparing us for life in all it’s fullness. The call to mission isn’t about being fully equipped; it’s about being fully dependent.  God is still inviting us into that kind of faith. Are you ready? Could we be someone who says ‘yes’ before we know all the steps? How can we learn to trust Him? What would our lives look like if we learnt to really ‘send it’? 

We all face rejection, hurt and moments of offense. In this next section of Mark, Ps. Kevin Queen unpacks how Jesus Himself experienced it in His own hometown—and John the Baptist even lost his life for standing firm in his faith. Rejection and offense are painful, but they don’t have to define us. Jesus shows us how to stay rooted in God’s truth, free from bitterness, and strong in the Spirit no matter what opposition comes our way.

What does it look like to push past fear, risk our reputation, and reach out to Jesus? In week 16 of our series on the Gospel of Mark, Pastor Kevin shares stories from Mark 5:21-40. We see Jesus stop for a woman who had suffered for 12 years, before raising a little girl from the dead. These two very different people had one thing in common: desperate faith. Jesus meets us today with the same compassion, power, and perfect timing. No matter how long you’ve been waiting or how impossible it looks, you can trust His heart, His hand, and His timing.

In week 15 of our series on the Gospel of Mark, Pastor Kevin Queen shares two stories from Mark – two powerful moments where fear meets faith. In both stories, Jesus isn’t shaken. He’s sovereign. Even with Jesus right beside them, the disciples panicked in the face of a storm. Jesus doesn’t run from storms or chaos. He speaks peace over them and brings restoration. Fear can either shrink our faith or lead us straight into the arms of the One who calms the storm. Jesus wants us to step out of our comfort zone, so we can grow.  So – how do we respond during a storm? What if that fear is the very place Jesus wants to show us His power?

In week 14 of our series on the Gospel of Mark, guest speaker Dave Stone looks at Mark 4:21-32. We see Jesus share short parables that reveal a massive kingdom truth: God’s power doesn’t need a platform, just a seed. Through this imagery Jesus demonstrates how Kingdom impact often starts hidden, humble, and almost unnoticeable. In the hands of God, the smallest act of obedience can grow into something world-changing. We don’t need to be impressive – just faithful. Even doing something small can still make a huge difference. You’ll never reap the harvest if you never plant the seed!

In a world obsessed with results, Jesus offers a better way. In one of His most misunderstood parables, Jesus reveals a kingdom truth that flips everything we think about faith, growth, and impact. In this powerful and deeply encouraging message, guest speaker Scotty Smith unpacks Mark 4 – a stunning reminder of the relentless, unstoppable power of the Gospel. In these verses we see Jesus sharing the Parable of the Sower; not to burden His disciples, but to encourage them. If you’ve ever felt burned out, discouraged or like your efforts don’t matter, this message will shift your perspective. So, what is Jesus sowing in your heart today?

In week 12 of our series on the Gospel of Mark, guest speaker Laurel Bunker recaps Mark 3:20-35. In this passage, Jesus reminds the crowd to love one another. If we fight each other we won’t get very far. As Christians, we can’t be Christlike if we don’t learn to love and forgive others. Our salvation is supposed to be a radical transformation from the inside out.

In Mark 2, people came to ask Jesus why His disciples did not fast like the Pharisees. Jesus’ response? A question and two cryptic metaphors. We’re all sinners who need Jesus, but only some people know they need Him.

In week seven of our series through the Gospel of Mark, Pastor James Savage shares the story of a paralyzed man whose friends go to great lengths to bring him to Jesus. In week six of our series on the Gospel of Mark, we see Jesus model what it looks like to slip away to spend time alone with the Father. Pastor Kevin unpacks Mark 1:35 and how the power of prayer in silence and solitude can fuel us just like it did for Jesus. If we want to flourish, we must prioritize the presence of God – nothing else can fuel us for a flourishing life. The more time we spend with Jesus, the more we become like Him. In week four of our series on the Gospel of Mark, Pastor Kevin dives into Mark 1:16–20, a powerful passage where Jesus calls Simon Peter, Andrew, James and John to leave everything behind and follow Him. This moment marks the beginning of their discipleship journey, and reminds us of our own. Following Jesus is how we truly flourish. Jesus calls us to lead, to step outside of our comfort zones and to take bold, faith-filled risks. In order to follow Him fully, we all have things we need to lay down. So what might that be for you? What’s keeping you from fully following Jesus today?

In week three of our series on the book of Mark, Pastor Kevin shares another story of baptism. In Mark 1:9-11, Jesus was baptized to identify with us. It’s a reminder that He won’t ask us to do something He hasn’t already done. Just as we use baptism to repent, we also use fasting and prayer to deal with our heart issues when we are tempted.

In week two of our series on the book of Mark, Pastor Kevin shares the story of John the Baptist on this Baptism Sunday. In Mark 1:4-8, John encourages others to get baptized so they can get ready for Jesus. It’s one way Christians can repent and show their obedience to the Lord. Baptism also helps us stay grounded in a disoriented world.

In week one of our new series on the book of Mark, Annie F. Downs introduces us to the authors of the Gospels – Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. In the final week of our “On Map On Mission” series, Pastor Kevin teaches how Jesus’ Triumphal Entry in Matthew 21 can actually show us an example of the generosity we are supposed to have in our lives. As we see how Jesus gave the greatest gift of all, it helps us to live with open hands as we trust Him with what He has entrusted us.

In week three of our “On Map on Mission” series, Pastor James shared scripture from Acts 2, where Jesus used Peter and the disciples to bring thousands of people from all walks of life together to follow Him. If we truly believe Anything’s Possible, and our behavior matched our beliefs, imagine the people we could reach for Jesus! How are you living out your faith? 

In week two of our “On Map on Mission” series, Pastor Kevin gave us an anecdote to picture the people closest to us in our lives – those who would be sitting in the front row if we were to gather everyone in an auditorium. Our “oikos” refers to the people who God has placed in our lives with whom we have the opportunity to share God’s love. In this message, Pastor Kevin uses Scripture from Luke 8 as a reminder that God has a plan to our lives to significantly impact those around us for the Gospel. How are you living on mission where God has placed you on the map?

In week one of our new “On Map on Mission” series, Pastor Kevin shares scripture from Matthew 28. The Great Commission tells us to make disciples of all nations. Doing that starts with sharing your love for Christ with those around you. Who are the people God placed in your life who could be your mission?

In week three of “Divine Hospitality” guest speaker, David Nasser, taught us the kind of hospitality that Christians are called to share to the world. Divine hospitality means loving the outsider and making space for the stranger,  The end goal of divine hospitality is to seek and save the lost – David shares stories of people accomplishing the Great Commission through displaying divine hospitality. How can you use divine hospitality to share Christ’s love?

In week two of our Divine Hospitality series, guest speaker David Nasser shares some of the Bible’s 59 commands for the Believer about how to approach one another. One of those commands is mentioned in 1 Peter. This Scripture reminds us to “love one another”, even when we don’t see eye to eye. How are you showing hospitality to those who are different than you?

When you think of hospitality, does God come to mind? In our new “Divine Hospitality” series, Pastor Kevin shares how Jesus showed hospitality in John 6. Jesus fed 5,000 people with only five small loaves of bread and two fish. Those people may have been physically hungry, but they were spiritually hungry too. God wants to feed those hungry hearts by giving eternal life.

In week four of our “Awaken” series, Pastor Kevin encourages us to not let life pass us by without fully waking up. In John 11, Lazarus has a literal awakening when Jesus raises him from the death to life. This story shows us that God allows painful events to let others see His glory. Where do you need to wake up to what God has for you in your life?

In week three of our “Awaken” series, Pastor Kevin shares the story of Jesus and the Samaritan woman at a well in John 4. Jesus knew her sins and could satisfy her thirsty heart more than the water she was trying to get – the kind of water He offers is living water, that doesn’t leave us thirsty.

In week two of our “Awaken” series, Pastor James shares the story of the woman who was desperate for a miracle in Luke 8:42. After bleeding for 12 years, she knew that no one but Jesus could heal her. This passage shows us there is no shame in reaching out to Jesus for help. Do you trust Jesus enough to reach out to Him?

In week one of our new Awaken series, Pastor Kevin shares Nathanial’s story from the book of John. We may be physically awake, but we can still fall asleep spiritually. The good news is that God will use circumstances to wake us up. Other people, His Word and prayer can help too. How can you pray for God to wake you up this month?  

In the last week of our “Momentum” series, Pastor Kevin shares how God called Moses to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. It’s a reminder that no matter how big the call, God has prepared you for it. What has God called you to do?

It week three of our “Momentum” series, Annie F. Downs shares how Moses had an encounter with God in Acts 7. It’s a reminder that experiencing God makes everything better. We should always say “yes” to God when He is moving through our lives.

It can be difficult to have faith during the challenging seasons of life. In week two of our “Momentum” series, Pastor Kevin shares the story of Moses in Acts 7, where Moses’ faith is tested in the wilderness. Like with Moses, tests in life reveal where we are and what we need to learn from God. How is God preparing you during those valleys?

A new year means a fresh start. In week one of our new “Momentum” series, Pastor Kevin shares how to move forward in life in the one area that matters most – our faith! The scripture of Hebrews tells us the righteous live by faith, which is based on the promises of God. Where is God calling you to surrender today?

In the final week of our series “The Sounding Joy”, Pastor Kevin wrapped up our study of Philippians where we’ve been learning how to maximize joy no matter our situation. In this message, Pastor Kevin reminds us that our gladness is not a reflection of our circumstances – rather, we have a choice in whether we live joyful lives, and that choice starts by choosing to rejoice!

In week three of “The Sounding Joy” series, Annie F. Downs shares that joy is a gift, fruit, tool and weapon. Having it starts with repetition. Is what you are repeating in your life adding to your joy or dulling your joy?

In week two of “The Sounding Joy”, Pastor Kevin unpacks part of Philippians addressing the desire for more joy in our lives. When you make a choice to follow Jesus and become a Christian, God is with you, and He’s always glad to be with you. His grace, and the peace of Jesus, brings the maximum amount of joy that we can experience in this life — regardless of circumstances.

Now that it’s December, there’s extra pressure to feel joy over the holidays. It doesn’t have to be that way! In week one of our series “The Sounding Joy,” Pastor James uses Philippians 1 to look at ways to have joy, even during difficult circumstances. 

As we wrap up “The Greater Good” series, Pastor Kevin breaks down scripture from Titus 3 on serving others. When you love people who can’t do anything for you, that’s when God shows up. If we see a need, we need to take the lead to live a life that’s productive for His Kingdom.

In week three of our series “The Greater Good”, Pastor Jeff taught us how to lead the way in hospitality and kindness. Whatever your vocation, ministry is your calling, because God went out of His way for us so that we can go out of our way for others. When you serve people with kindness, there’s nothing small about that. 

In week two of “The Greater Good” series, Pastor Kevin highlights the value of serving others internationally. In the Great Commission in Matthew 28, Jesus shows us we need to make disciples of all nations, not just our own. When people show up for others, we experience the love of God – whether it’s serving locally or globally.

In week one of “The Greater Good” series, Pastor Kevin references Matthew 20 and Titus 3 to highlight the value of service. This scripture shows us the best time to serve is during challenging times – whether it’s here in Middle Tennessee or internationally.

In our third and final week of “Citizens + Exiles”, Pastor Kevin shares the letter the disciple Peter wrote to fellow believers who were suffering. Peter reminds us that it’s important to trust in God’s sovereignty and that suffering is only temporary in light of eternity.

In week two of “Citizens + Exiles,” Pastor David teaches from 1 Peter. In this Scripture, Peter gives instructions on how to live as dual citizens – as citizens of the Kingdom of God and other smaller kingdoms to which we belong. 

Who is Jesus? In week one of “Citizens + Exiles”, Pastor James gives a Biblical explanation of who Jesus is, who He says we are and what our purpose is in the Kingdom of Heaven. 

In week five of our “Marked” series, Pastor Kevin teaches us how to have a trouble-free heart in a trouble-filled world. In scripture, Jesus used both parables and miracles to teach about trust. We can have faith that God will provide–even when the future is uncertain.  If you can trust Jesus with your eternity, is there anything you can’t trust Him with?

In week four of our “Marked” series, Pastor Kevin references several Bible verses that urge us to help widows and orphans. We are called to serve the most vulnerable groups in our church, including the fatherless and those who are overlooked.  Let’s dig in and act as the hands of Jesus. 

In week three of our “Marked” series, Pastor Kevin teaches from Matthew 16, where church is mentioned for the first time in the New Testament. This passage reminds us that church is not a building, but a building is a discipleship tool to help people find Christ. How can we reach others, and bring light to a dark world?
