Send us a textThis episode is on the Winter Solstice. The Winter Solstice is one of eight annual Solar Festivals. The Winter Solstice is the shortest day of the year, marking the return of the Sun in the Northern Hemisphere. The Ancients and native cultures have always celebrated these Solar Festivals as powerful times that were worthy of ceremony. Fires were lit to honor the Winter and Summer Solstices, thus the tradition of lighting the Yule Log derives from our pagan ancestors. Theosophical teachings which emerged in the late 19th century, derived from the Vedic wisdom of India, predicted the increasing importance of honoring the full moon, new moon, equinox and solstice cycles during the coming Aquarian Age. Well we are now in that Aquarian Age, and any ceremony or ritual, prayer or mantra that we perform on December 21 will be empowered at this Winter Solstice. There is a primal urge in humankind to be rekindled, rebirthed and renewed at these seasonal Solar Festivals which include the two Solstices, two Equinoxes, and four cross-quarter days, honored by our ancestors, indigenous, and pre-Christian pagans. These days of honoring the Earth and Sun are in order of their procession in the Gregorian calendar are: February 2, know as "Imbolc," also called Candlemas which is the half-way point between the winter solstice and Spring equinox in the northern hemisphere. Then the Spring Equinox on March 21. Beltane, honors the fruits of the Spring in the Northern Hemisphere on May 1st. Followed by the Summer Solstice on June 21st, Lammas on August 1, Autumnal Equinox on September 21," Samhain," also known as All Souls Day on November 1, and Winter Solstice on December 21st. Send us a text Get ready for eclipses on November 19, 2021 with a Full Moon Lunar eclipse and December 4, 2021 with a total Solar eclipse!In this episode Astrologer Jill Jardine, discusses the implications of eclipses and the phenomena of "Ecliptic Fallout" or the aftermath of eclipses. In astrology throughout the ages, eclipses were harbingers of big changes. They occur up to four to six times a year, usually in a cluster of two or three throughout one month, and then the companion eclipses occur six months later. Usually we experience 4 eclipses in one year. However, there can be up to 6 eclipses in one year as occurred in 2020. Which is probably why it was such a difficult year - we were eclipsed! Lunar eclipses tend to take things away, while solar eclipses tend to expose or reveal something that was hidden. On November 19, 2021, we have a Lunar Eclipse with the Sun in Scorpio and Moon in Taurus. So you Taureans and Scorpions are on high alert, due to an eclipse occurring in your signs. In astrology, Scorpio and Taurus are money signs. Taurus in our chart indicates our value system and resources, which includes money we make, what we like to spend our money on, and how we cultivate resources and what we value. Scorpio in astrology relates to shared resources, money we receive from others, partner’s money, death, transformation and rebirth. So with this lunar eclipse activating Taurus and Scorpio, there will be many issues regarding money or lack of money, resources and the economy. This eclipse precurses economic concerns in 2022, including the end of extreme speculation (such as with the Real Estate Market and other extravagant spending or gambling). Scorpio, as well as indicating shared finances, is ruled by the planet Pluto, who’s domain is death, rebirth and transformation. She lived in the hospital with her youngest daughter during the first few months of her life until she received her gift of a new heart. REMEMBER SANSKRIT MANTRAS ARE SACRED FORMULAS PASSED DOWN THROUGH THE YEARS FROM THE ORIGINAL GURUS OR RISHIS TO HELP HUMANITY. Sanskrit is a vibrational language, meaning it affects our body, mind and spirit. Sanskrit mantras help to clear blockages in our physical, emotional and mental body. In our spiritual physiology we have 72,000 subtle pathways called nadis, and 7 major energy centers called “Chakras.” These pathways and chakras can can occluded, meaning blocked, not allowing life force energy (known as Kundalini in Sanskrit) to flow through. These times of intense transformation occur at these pivotal astrological alignments: First Saturn Return from 28-30 years old, Uranus Opposition between 40-44 years old, Chiron Return at 50 years old, Second Saturn Return at 58-60 years old, and if one lives long enough, the Uranus Return at 84 years old.The first Saturn return occurs from 28-30 years old. The current group experiencing their Saturn Return during 2021-2022 was born during February 6, 1991-January 1994.During the first Saturn return, one is being pressured to constructively actualize oneself in life. Big shifts can happen, sometimes initiated by loss, some by choice, such as changing jobs or career paths. Relationships can end or become solidified during a Saturn return. Those born during 1962, 1963, and 1964 will be having their Saturn returns during 2021-2022. Saturn is the lord of time in Astrology. When one reaches their second Saturn Return, they may realize that their time in this incarnation is running out. Health concerns are paramount at this time, as one strives to keep their health good to achieve future goals. It's a time to "make hay while the sun shines." People may travel more, restructure their lives for more free time, reassess career goals and contemplate or plan retirement. Those born in 1936, 1937 and 1938 will have their Uranus Return during 2021-22. If one lives a full astrological lifetime, they reach 84 years old and experience their Uranus Return. This is when the planet Uranus, ruler of Astrology, goes back to where it was when someone was born. Uranus is the great awakener, so people wake up to what this lifetime was about for them.
