Dr. Dawn Nickel is the visionary behind the SHE RECOVERS movement and a thought leader in the women's recovery community. Her personal recovery journey began in 1987 when she entered treatment for a substance use disorder, trauma from spousal abuse, and anxiety. Today, Dawn also identifies as being in recovery from cancer, codependency, grief, and workaholism.
Dawn and Sarah share their mutual affinity for women supporting women, a non-binary analysis of the 12-steps, and the joy of recovery.
