Avoid These 4 Mistakes! Considering Sponsors For Your Content? This Might Be a Better Option!
Ever wonder how some content creators skyrocket their growth and create a buzz around their brand? Here's the secret—smart growth partnerships! Today Content is Profit, we debrief a call I had with our partners from Hubspot. We talked about a few ways you can approach your platform growth, and how you can present a great opportunity to potential investors. First up, do your best to diversify your content. Instead of sticking to one format, why not multipurpose your core content across audio, video, and text? A lot of people are talking about this one, but we see just a few executing correctly. Take advantage of this! Next, we talked about how important is a multichannel strategy. It's not just about being everywhere; it's about being where it matters most. By collaborating with partners who share your vision, you can cross-promote and tap into new audiences seamlessly.... the best part, is not that complicated ;) We also touched on the power of centralizing your efforts. Having a dedicated hub for your content, like a website that showcases your work and dives deeper into your topics, can draw in more organic traffic and keep your audience coming back for more. Again, most people preach this, but hard to execute. We share a very simple way for you to get started today... no lie. Lastly, Personal Branding made an appearance. Connecting with your audience on a personal level by showing the real people behind the content humanizes your brand and builds stronger, more meaningful partnerships. (Spoiler alert, this is not for everyone) Ready to take your content strategy to the next level and forge partnerships that propel your business forward? Enjoy! Timestamped Overview: 01:30 Maximizing impact through strategic multimedia partnerships. 03:28 Company investment in platform for long-term growth. 10:11 Sustainable workflows, investment in long-term success. 11:01 Simple solutions for sustainable multimedia content creation. Ep 499How to Maximise Your Content Reach. The One Stage Most People Ignore in Content Creation
In the competitive landscape of content creation, this specific creation phase stands out as a critical element that can significantly amplify your reach and engagement. Over the last year we've developed a robust 6-lever process, with a particular emphasis on the fourth lever: distribution. The reason being... people completely forget about this specific stage. This episode is a behind the scenes of a conversation that we had with one of our partners. We start by distinguishing between two types of content: 'safety net' and 'intentional'. Safety net content, such as daily podcast clips, ensures that we maintain consistent visibility. This regular presence is vital for effectively measuring and optimizing our content strategies. One of the things we can do to maximize our organic reach is to focus on collaboration. By tagging guests and engaging with them, we can extend our content’s reach. We encourage guests to feature us in their newsletters or even physical magazines. These partnerships allow us to tap into diverse audiences and expand our visibility beyond traditional social media platforms. Efficiency is key in our approach to distribution. We utilize a matrix to streamline our distribution processes. This involves meticulously allocating time slots and selecting platforms, which not only saves time but also helps us identify trends and peaks in audience engagement. Lastly, using data is key. It's a must when it comes to optimizing and grabbing the juice out of the content. You can start by looking at platform-specific metrics. These include 7-day and 30-day podcast downloads and YouTube's 30-second retention rates. These insights are crucial. They refine our content and promotion strategies. They ensure we keep improving our reach and impact. Hope you enjoy and take a lot of #GoldenBoulders! Timestamped Overview: 04:13 Strategic content distribution methods for broadening audience. 09:56 Condense video content distribution strategy maximum 7 words 11:59 Develop episode ideas, social listening, and marketing. 17:49 Evaluate content performance and optimize for engagement. 19:14 YouTube video data reveals high consumption. Ep 497The Biggest Mistakes In Content Creation In 2024 & How To Avoid Them
"What are the biggest mistakes in content creation in 2024?" This was the question our dear friend Ina Coveney asked us while being interviewed for her show. What it was meant to be "one more question", turned out to be another 30 minutes of chatting and a new CIP episode! So what about those mistakes? Creating stellar content isn't just about clever hooks or high-quality production—it's about understanding a few key elements. That's what this episode is all about! We can start with the the importance of knowing your goal. It's crucial to clearly define the purpose of your content. Whether it's building relationships, generating leads, or boosting brand awareness, tailoring your strategy to your specific goals can significantly impact your success. It is sad to see, but most people take this for granted, or consider it when is too late in the game. The highly important element, but somehow elusive is... Consistency. It might be tempting to copy big influencers like Gary Vee or Russell Brunson. But, find a process that works for you and stick to it. By being consistent, and then testing frequency (low to high volume) you will start to see trends inside your own content, that will help you optimize and reach more people over time. We wrap up the discussion by discussing what's more important: Quality or Quantity? What's your pick? Hope you enjoy this episode as much as we did creating it! Enjoy! 01:50 Experience, flexibility, and mistakes in content creation. 04:59 Define content goals, create personalized content process. 11:03 Message quality is key in engaging content. 14:39 Understanding content and platform for audience engagement. 16:50 Video content essential for companies finding voice. 18:44 Seeking advice, but also valuing independence. Ep 492Avoid These 4 Mistakes!
Ep 484Quality & Quantity: What to Look for to Increase Attention & Retention
Are you caught in the crossfire of the quality vs. quantity debate in content production? You're not alone. It's a classic problem that every content creator faces: How to produce enough content to keep the audience engaged while ensuring each piece resonates with quality and purpose. Today we talk about exactly that. Here are some points that can help with your production decission. Strategic Content Creation: Think of content creation as strategic sprints rather than a never-ending marathon. It's about refining your skills through continuous practice and feedback implementation. Similar to how athletes would improve on their skill. The focus here is on intentionality—creating with a purpose and constantly seeking to improve. Leveraging Data for Insights: To truly measure your content's impact, focus on key metrics such as completion rates, click-through rates, and overall engagement trends. This data isn't just numbers; it's a direct reflection of what your audience loves and what they skip. Implement the CPR Method: Introduce the Create, Publish, Reflect (CPR) method into your workflow. Each piece of content is a stepping stone towards excellence. Use this process to make adjustments, learn from each publication, and elevate the quality of your work steadily. This cycle encourages a growth mindset, crucial for both solo creators and teams. Whether you're a seasoned creator or just starting out, embedding a routine of creation, publication, and reflection loop, you ensure that your digital presence not only grows but thrives. Enjoy! Timestamped Overview: 00:00 Posting more on social media doesn't hurt. 04:02 Understanding variance in poker and decision-making. 09:03 Quality versus quantity in content creation and consistency. 12:32 Scholarships, sports, content creation, practice, quality, resources. 15:59 Analyze social media content to improve engagement. 18:09 Seek guidance on resources needed for content creation. 20:09 Analyzing podcast data and audience engagement techniques. 24:21 Hooked on daily wire reacting to comedians.
