Zach and Nicole Bitter come on the podcast to discuss running this upcoming weekend at Desert Solstice, some of the other races they ran in 2019 which include Western States, San Diego 100, Spartathlon, and JFK 50 and what it was like setting both 100 mile and 12-hour World Record at the Petit Center this past summer.

John Nores is a California native. Beginning in 1992, he was hired as a warden for the California Department of Fish and Wildlife and retired in December of 2018 as a special operations lieutenant working directly at the state level, co-developing and leading his agency's elite tactical unit the Marijuana Enforcement Team (MET) and developed the CDFW's first sniper unit aimed at combatting the most environmentally damaging criminals working within California and impacting the nation.

Caleb Schiff, the owner of Pizzicletta, a wood-fired pizzeria in Flagstaff, AZ. He returns to the podcast to discuss his newest location inside Dark Sky Brewing also in Flagstaff, finding the time to run trails, and different ways he can give back to the community.

Hayley Pollack is an ultra runner and the President of Aravaipa Running, which is the largest Trail and Ultra Running event production company in the Southwest United States. Some of their races include the Crown King Scramble, Javelina Jundred, Desert Solstice, and Across the Years.

Caleb Schiff is the owner of Pizzicletta, a wood-fired pizzeria in Flagstaff, AZ, an aspiring ultra-trail runner and a lover of science, design and his dog. He values belief in one's self and hopes his work inspires others to pursue their dreams.

Ashley Taylor is a Canadian track and field athlete. She ran for Northern Arizona University and is now a professional runner with the goal of competing in the 800 meter for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. She currently trains in Flagstaff, AZ as part of Under Armour and is coached by Stephen Haas and Shayla Houlihan.

Chefs Juan Zamora of Chula Seafood, Keri Frazier owner of Urban Phoenix Cafe and Bryon Freeze come on to the podcast to discuss Culinary Love, a company born out of love to support their fellow Chefs. Proceeds of all products sold thru the website will give financial support to programs designed to help Chefs battling depression and mental health issues.

With today being Veterans Day I wanted to share this podcast recorded last year. Constance Bradley, PhD, LAc, is a Nationally Board Certified Acupuncturist and owner of Scottsdale Integrative Acupuncture in Scottsdale, Arizona. She specializes in advanced cosmetic facial rejuvenation and sports medicine. Constance is a graduate of the US Air Force Academy, the University of Colorado-Boulder, and the University of Utah. Nick Coury is an ultra runner and just returned from competing as an alternate for the U.S. national team in the World 24 Hour in Albi, France. Prior to that he had run 140 miles in one week and broke the 18 year old course record in Man VS. Horse 2019 by 19 minutes.

Matt was an Executive Producer and Showrunner of THE MINDY PROJECT for Hulu and just wrapped up working on the Hulu show FOUR WEDDINGS AND A FUNERAL as an Executive Producer. Prior to this, Matt was a Consulting Producer on COMMUNITY after having worked on THE SIMPSONS for 11 seasons. Matt has won an Emmy for his work on the show, He is a graduate of Harvard and was president of The Lampoon.

Kevin Long was the 2009, 2015 and now 2019 World Series coach and current hitting coach for the Washington Nationals of Major League Baseball. Kevin has coached Alex Rodriguez, Derek Jeter, David Wright, Yoenis Cespedis along with many other great players while with the New York Yankees and Mets.

Jenn is a mother, ultra runner, nurse, and small business owner. She owns and operates Trail Winds Hospice in Boulder, CO which serves terminally adults and children in their home. Jenn has had recovered from a near-fatal rattlesnake bite, a brain tumor, running visually impaired, and several other obstacles in her life. She is working on a book, as well as motivational speaking opportunities. She seeks to inspire others through sharing her story.

Patrick is a native of Southwestern PA and currently resides in Savannah, GA. He runs professionally for HOKA One One. In his debut at the 100 Mile distance, Reagan won the Javelina Jundred 100 Mile Endurance run in 2017 and bested the course record by 29 minutes. He was the winner in 2018 and won his third straight this past weekend.

Nick Coury is an ultrarunner, co-owner of Aravaipa Running in Arizona, and full time software developer at Amazon. Check out this podcast from the beginning of the year as he gets ready to compete for the U.S. national team in the World 24 Hour this weekend in Albi, France.

Christy Spackman holds a joint appointment in the School for the Future of Innovation in Society and the Arts, Media and Engineering Department at Arizona State University. Her work focuses on how the sensory experiences of making, consuming, and disposing of food influence and the "technologies of taste." Her current book project examines how scientific and technological innovation have changed the taste of bottled and municipal water throughout the twentieth-century in the United States and France.

LT Smith is the executive pastry chef and Teani Hardin is the sous pastry chef at both Ghost Ranch and Temple Public Market in Tempe, AZ. LT grew up in northeast Ohio and when his NFL career ended decided to pursue his passion in the culinary world. Teani grew up in Hawaii and moved to Arizona for both culinary and photography. They both appreciate the intricacies, artistry, and attention to detail when it comes to the pastry side of the kitchen.

Emi Sunshine is a fifteen year old country music singer/songwriter that has been attracting national attention since the age of nine. She has made appearances on "The Today Show," NBC's "Little Big Shots," the Grand Ole Opry and elsewhere. Her new album "Family Wars" is the her most personal project to date. With ten songs and one bonus track, the album addresses domestic violence, dysfunctional families, political corruption, mass murder, lost love, and freedom—those who have it, and those who seek it.

Brent Kille originally from Detroit, Michigan started working at Applebees and has been cooking for over 14 years. He moved to Phoenix and has worked for many chefs which includes Stephen Jones where he became comfortable with southern cooking. Brent also worked Cutino Sauce and is now the co-owner of Sonoran Pasta with his business partner Jasmine. Sonoran Pasta Co. was born out of a desire to produce fresh pasta and sauces in Arizona working with the finest ingredients from local farmers to purveyors.

While in her 20s, Denae's travels took her through Mexico and Central America. She hiked mountains in small Mayan villages where she commenced with the locals. Every morning, she would wake up to the smells of chocolate as the people ground cacao beans and brewed cacao drinks. These experiences emboldened Denae to try her own hand at chocolate making. Victoria Anthony is a professional freestyle wrestler and member of the Sunkist Kids. She is the first four time college National wrestling champion out of Simon Fraser University and is an Olympic hopeful for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.

Shawn Porter is a professional boxer from Cleveland, Ohio. He is a 2 time welterweight champion and currently the WBC welterweight champion of the world. He is known for his high pressure fighting style, physical strength, and his high work rate. He defends his WBC welterweight title tonight against Errol "THE TRUTH" Spence.

Donald Hawk started cooking at the age of 16 at local pizza restaurants. Donald has worked for many chefs which includes Chris Bianco, Bernie Kantak and others. Donald is now a sous chef who runs the raw bar program at the Gladly owned by Chef Bernie Kantak and also is the creator of the famous HAWKO that can be found in urban dictionary. His side gig is a pop up called KOSO Phoenix that he started with fellow chef Brent Kille which explores Korean heritage combined with Southern cooking.

Tiffany Derry is the owner of Roots Chicken Shak, Roots Southern Table, Derrywear and Tiffany Derry Concepts. Derry gained International notoriety on the seventh season of Bravo's Top Chef and as a finalist on Top Chef: All-Stars. She sits on the James Beard Foundation's Impact Advisory Board and acts as an ambassador for the Beard Foundation's food waste initiative. She recently visited Phoenix as the All-Star Chef for the James Beard Taste America Tour.

Tameka Jameson is a Nigerian track and field athlete. She was the ACC 400 meter Champion, the NACAC 4 by 400 meter relay Champion, runner up in the 400 meter hurdles , 2016 IAAF Worlds Indoor finalist, 2016 African Champa bronze medalist and is a 2020 Olympic hopeful. Tameka also is a mother of one, enjoys spending time with her family including her identical twin sister Takecia who was a special guest on the show.

Christopher Hoye is a retired US Marshal that was appointed by President Barack Obama in 2010 and previously was a Lieutenant with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. He returns to the podcast to discuss the recent apprehension of fugitives Blaine and Susan Barksdale, whether or not there should be more gun control, mass shootings, mental health, the divide in our country and what he thinks are some of the best solutions.

Dennis Abry has taught psychology for 20+ years and is currently residential faculty at Scottsdale Community College. Eileen Spitalny is the co-owner of Fairytale Brownies in Phoenix, AZ. In 1992, her friend since kindergarten and future business partner, David Kravetz took his mom's brownie recipe and decided they would bake the best brownies in the world. Fairytale Brownies eventually became a mail-order business and in 1995, they bought brownies.com. Eileen and David went from not knowing how to bake to baking and shipping millions of brownies a year all over the world.

Jamill Kelly wrestled at Lassen Community College before transferring to Oklahoma State. He is a four-time National Team Member and two-time World Team Member in 2003 and 2004. He was a 2004 U.S. Open Champion and 2004 Olympic trials champion. He went on to win an Olympic silver medal in the 2004 Olympic Games at 66kg. He has had coaching stints at Harvard, Cal Poly, NC State, Stanford, and currently is an assistant coach at Arizona State University.

Zane Bonnett is the son of ultra runner James Bonnett and Erin LoStracco. At 5 years old he has already run a mile, recently started kindergarten and is preparing to become a big brother for the second time.

Ella Nelson is an Australian track and field athlete. She has won the Australian National Championship three times, competed in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Brazil and is a 2020 Olympic hopeful for Tokyo. Ella also is a lover of coffee, books, tv shows, having meaningful conversations and surrounding herself with like minded people.

Jesus Sepulveda featured in the Netflix Special Chingo Bling: They Can't Deport Us All that depicts his life growing up Latino in Southern California. He is also on American Wannabes podcast and is performing at clubs and theatres around the country.

Mike Kosoy is a professional freestyle wrestler and member of the Sunkist Kids training for the 2020 Summer Olympics. Originally from Boca Raton, Florida, he is first generation from the Ukraine and started wrestling when he was 15 years old. Mike wrestled at NC State University where he received his Masters Degree in Physiology.

Kyven Gadson is a professional freestyle wrestler and member of the Sunkist Kids training for the 2020 Summer Olympics. He is a two time high school Iowa state wrestling champion a three-time All-American wrestler at Iowa State University. He finished the 2014-2015 season winning the 197 pound NCAA Division One National Championship.

Tremaine Harris is a Canadian track and field athlete. Harris is of Jamaican descent and is fluent in English and French. He competed in the 2012 Summer Olympics and his personal best for the 200M was 20.22 seconds. Which is the sixth fastest in Canadian history.

Kimber Lanning was born on Okinawa, Japan but has spent the majority of her life in Phoenix, AZ. In 1987 she started a music store, called Stinkweeds which she still runs today. Since then she has started Modified Arts, a gallery and performance space, to give young Arizonan artists an outlet and is best known for starting Local First Arizona, a coalition of Arizona based local and national businesses.

"Showtime" Mark Martin is a mixed martial artist with his next fight coming July 27th in the Iron Tiger Fight Series at the Kickmaster Event Center in Grove City, Ohio. He is a two-time high school state wrestling champion at St. Edwards High School in Cleveland, Ohio and a four-time national qualifier at Ohio State University. He is currently coached by John Crouch and trains with Benson Henderson at the MMA Lab in Phoenix, AZ.

"Magic" Mike Hamel is a multiple high school state wrestling champion, an NCAA collegian All-American wrestler and currently an MMA fighter training at the MMA Lab in Phoenix, AZ. His next fight is against the "Popolonesian" Flavian Pilgrim at Comerica Theatre in downtown Phoenix on July 26th.

Kelsey Campbell was the first female wrestler at Arizona State University. What started as a response to bet that she could not handle being a wrestler she has since won the 2012 US Olympic Trials and competed in the 2012 Olympics in London.

Nicole Bitter and Lauren Coury are both ultra runners living in Phoenix, AZ. Nicole is seeking a top 10 finish in the upcoming 2019 Western States Endurance Run in the Sierra Nevada Mountains and Lauren will be competing in the Grandma's Marathon in Duluth, MN. One with a career in law and the other in marketing they both seek to inspire others by sharing their love of running.
