Let's start with a question: 'Where the f*****g hell is Aston Villa?' It's not often a guest on our Claret & Blue podcast can get away with such a blunt enquiry about our beloved football club, but we'll make an exception for Andy Gray. That was a genuine question the former claret and blue hero asked himself when he found out he was joining Villa as a teenager way back in 1975.
To a generation or more Andy Gray is renowned for his football punditry, but before dominating the airwaves he was dominant in the air as Ron Saunders' 70s revival took flight. For all his analysis of the Premier League era, he hasn't spoken much about his playing (and coaching) career at Villa - until now.
