How to respond when painful prayers receive puzzling answers from a mysterious God
God knows the perfect answer to all situations, much more than our imperfect suggestions to him.
But Now.... Something has changed, Jesus has given us the power of the Holy Spirit
Jesus has given us his spirit. and with this has come newness, freshness and power. Gone is the oldness of Just words.
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Look at the great rewards in heaven since we have been judged worthy to suffer persecution for Jesus.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God
If you are a son of God you will be a peacemaker, you have the same DNA as Jesus.
An illustration from marriage
Jesus died, rose again and we with him so that we can be Married to a Saviour that loves us. Now we are no longer bound to the Law and condemnation.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
If we slip, God brings forgiveness, but we don't rely on that; we draw near to Him and rely on the power the Holy Spirit within us.
A Slave to Righteousness
True freedom is the freedom to enjoy God and become a slave to righteousness and obedience.
Dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus
It is fundamental to understand what Jesus did for us at the Cross, so that we are then ready for the consequences of His actions.
Worship Extravagantly
Man's chief end is to glorify God and to enjoy him forever.
Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? BY NO MEANS!
For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin.
There is no Middle Ground
You are either in sin under Adam OR you are justified and made righteous by Jesus, there is no middle ground.
Jesus completely transforms a sinner's life.
God reaches out to us regardless of who we are or whatever we have done - Victim or Villan
Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
It is NOT about what WE can do! It is who we are and our heart attitude towards God, and who God is making us into.
Adoption as sons
What are the implications of us being adopted into God's family?

The blind man's absolute faith that Jesus could do anything, even the impossible. Don't put limits on God.
Blessed are those hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
What is this righteousness for which hunger and yearn for?
How Much More
Riegn in life, Death could not hold Jesus, therefore death cannot hold us.
How much more will He do for us, now we are in Christ?
We have been justified, we have been saved, there is no gap between God and us, there is no guilt.
God's love is strong, majestic and unique
Jesus, pure and holy, died for the ungodly, his enemies - us.

We rejoice in the hope/certainty of the glory of God.
We will see and share the Glory of God

Let's sharpen each other by meeting together, encouraging one another and speaking the truth in love.

Coming humbly to God knowing he will give us everything we need to go into the world with a message of hope.
