Many people say that because Jesus didn't come to abolish the law that this means we still live by the law today, but that is not what that verse means! Jesus came to fulfill the law, and because He has fulfilled the Law, we live by the Spirit and not by the law as New Covenant believers today.
Matthew 5:17... “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them."
