In Acts 13, the church at Antioch set apart Paul and Barnabas, laid hands on them, prayed over them, and sent them out on mission under the direction and empowerment of the Holy Spirit. Life in the Spirit for us today means that the Spirit will send us out on mission as well. In Acts 8:26-40, the Spirit leads Philip to travel over 100 miles to share the gospel with one man, an Ethiopian eunuch. God cares about the individual. He is the God who will leave the 99 in search of the one. For us today, the Spirit will sometimes lead us to share the gospel even with strangers we encounter. Sometimes, sharing our faith with those who are so different from us can seem so daunting. In Acts 8, we see the Spirit empower Philip to share the gospel with the Samaritans who were despised by the Jewish people at the time.
