Today marks the seventh day of the Iran war, with Israel saying it will launch a “broad” wave of air strikes against targets and has told people living in parts of Beirut in Lebanon to evacuate.
Donald Trump says he needs to be involved in choosing the next leader of Iran and has dismissed one of the people tipped to take over, the son of Ali Khamenei, as a “lightweight”.
Trump has also sacked his head of homeland security, Kristi Noem.
Labour MP Joani Reid has “voluntarily” suspended herself from the party as her husband is investigated on allegations of spying for China.
