Send us a text In week 6, Jake Brend, Sean Dee, and Austin Keeney take a look back at another infamous loss in Iowa State history. This rewatch triggers a lot of old emotions and makes for a pretty heated discussion. The guys go more in de-depth with this game than most, leaving the segments a little more surface-level than normal, but there's still a lot of meat on that bone. Ep 5Wide Right ReCYcle Podcast Ep. 5: 2012 Kansas State Rewatch

E

Send us a text In the fifth week of the ReCycle podcast, Ryan, Sean, and Jake rewatched the 2012 road game against Kansas State, also known as the Scott Christopherson game. The game was competitive, back-and-forth, and fun but the guys focus mainly on the season with Royce White more than the game itself. With the usual segments, the guys also rank the current basketball jerseys, argue who the best shooter in school history is and how far this team could’ve gone if they didn’t run into Anthony Davis. It’s a fun look back to the very early Hoiberg era, give it a listen and eat some Es Tas tacos!

Litecast: Transfers, Tigers, and School Lunch, Oh My!

Send us a text This edition of the Litecast features plenty of discussion on the things you care about the most: Tiger King. In addition to discussing the motley cast of characters that occupy the most bizarre and compelling show on television, the gang also attempted to identify the few normal characters on the show (a difficult task to be honest). On a more serious note, the crew took a moment to discuss how social distancing has affected our work and personal lives, and how we have handled the unexpected and unwanted luxury of down time at home. Steve Prohm is looking for transfers, and the Litecast has you covered on that front! Litecast: Remembering Kobe Bryant, Recapping Auburn, and Super Bowl Proposition Bets

E

Send us a text In this rather somber episode of the Litecast, the crew attempts to tackle a host of topics, but the news of the day made it rather difficult. The life and legacy of Kobe Bryan was discussed, including what he meant to kids growing up in the Midwest hundreds of miles from the nearest NBA city, what his legacy is and how the NBA remembers all he gave to the game, and how surreal it was to follow the news on social media in real time. The Cyclone’s 76-80 loss at Auburn was also discussed, which required some box-score and tea-leaf sifting to find the positives in the road defeat. On a happier note, the Super Bowl was also discussed, including our picks for the game as well as a host of proposition bets that we found interesting, including the odds on the halftime show, the length of the National Anthem (take the under), and some actual sport-related player props. Enjoy!
