This is your parenting quick hit for Monday. Intergenerational trauma is a hot topic right now and Dr. Mariel Buqué helps to break it down for us. It involves both genetics/biological factors and relational factors. What is being modelled when we were young by our parents and then anything else that happens through life thereafter. Trauma is less about exactly what has happened but more about how we react as a result of what happened to us. 60% of us are carrying some form of generational trauma.
