We rely so much on other people to have sex but why not have sex with yourself? In fact you probably should have sex with yourself before having sex with someone else! We were so excited to sit down with Caroline D'Arcy who reminds us of the power women have between our legs. After a decade in the corporate world Caroline felt disconnected and numb. The freedom of saying that Nat wanted to lose weight and that she has lost weight is so liberating. For so long it felt like such a taboo thing to say. It can ignite a major conversation on social media and can be a trigger for people. At the end of the day it is Nat's journey, Nat's story. It makes her feel good and that's just the honest truth. We didn't grow up in the internet era, where at seven you have access to cell phones. the internet and where people have access to YOU. When our parents parented, you could pick your kids up at school and drop them off at a friends house knowing they couldn't really access other people unless they picked up a phone. Now it's like the wild west for them. We are parenting blindfolded. Now our kids know more than we do about the internet. The internet accelerates their growing up and also inhibits their growing up. We can track them and see everything they are doing but they can access the world without us really knowing. They could go on their friends phone and we would have no idea. Let's debunk the myth. Four years of university does not guarantee you a job. Maybe debt and life experiences, but not necessarily a job. University is not for everybody. Not everyone can access it and you don't need to have a university degree to be successful. That might be an unpopular opinion. Our children think university is the end goal. We are trying to teach them what their skill is versus what their grade is. We also chat at the top about childhood trauma versus parenting mistakes.There are things that happened to both us in our past, other people might say it is trauma. We don't see it that way. This week we did a DEEP dive into a branded partnership that we pulled out of. We don't stand for bad behaviour. We love working with women. We have a really good record of working with women. Women have been kind, thoughtful, generous and excited and there has been a mutual respect from both sides whether you are the talent, the brand, the agent or the manager. But there are some exceptions. If we continue to let these exceptions slide we are never going to change things for the next group of people. You can be a firm, successful, professional woman who treats the people in business with respect and get your concerns out without being a bully. Know your standards and know your values. If you can take responsibility and find out why it didn't work out for you and didn't work out for them, at least there is closure. It involves both genetics/biological factors and relational factors. What is being modelled when we were young by our parents and then anything else that happens through life thereafter. Trauma is less about exactly what has happened but more about how we react as a result of what happened to us. 60% of us are carrying some form of generational trauma. What the heck is virginity? We get so many young women DM'ing us for questions on sex and virginity. The when, the how, the who. If you are coming to us for advice you need to know we aren't religious. We may be opening a can of worms but here is our take on virginity. It is a disservice to girls. It should be as enjoyable to girls as it is to boys. Not a gift we hand over. The guy should not be in control of taking something from you. Would girls make better decisions if it wasn't such a big deal? There is so much pressure surrounding virginity. We are always open to hearing your opinions.
