S2 Ep 324January 7 | Be a Peacemaker | Devotional for Kids Carpooling with Jesus

Hey Carpool Crew! Today’s Carpooling with Jesus episode reminds kids how to handle drama when the week is already in full swing. Based on Matthew 5:9, this devotional teaches that Jesus calls His followers to be peacemakers, not people who make problems bigger. Jesus explains that peacemakers do not pretend problems do not exist. Instead, they choose not to add fuel to the fire. While the world says to snap back, get even, or spread the story, Jesus says to bring peace into the middle of tension with calm words, kindness, and sometimes silence. Through a relatable personal story, this episode shows how drama grows when we feed it, but fades when we refuse to pass it along. Kids are encouraged to avoid gossip, choose kind words, stay out of unnecessary arguments, and remember that real courage often looks quiet. S2 Ep 322January 5th: Giving Second Chances | Devotional for Kids Carpooling with Jesus Kids Devotional

Hey Carpool Crew… I’m Pastor Justin, and whether you are heading to school or getting ready for the day at home, I am so glad you are here. Mondays are a fresh start, but sometimes they come with old feelings from last week. Today we are talking about second chances. Matthew 5:7 (CSB) says, “Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.” Jesus shared these words during the Sermon on the Mount. Mercy means choosing kindness instead of payback and giving someone a second chance. Jesus teaches us that mercy is not weak. Mercy is brave. Jesus forgives us again and again, and He invites us to do the same for others. When we choose mercy, we let go of anger and move forward with kindness. So today, think about someone who hurt you last week. Instead of holding onto it, choose mercy. Say hello. Be kind. Give a second chance. Mercy does not make you weak. It makes you free. Remember, no matter where you are or how you’re listening, God loves you. Parents: Snap a photo listening together, post it on Instagram, and tag @carpoolingwithjesus so we can celebrate your family. S2 Ep 319Janurary 2nd: You Don’t Have to Prove Anything | Devotional for Kids Carpooling with Jesus Kids Devotional

Hey Carpool Crew… I’m Pastor Justin, and welcome to a brand new year. A new year can feel exciting, but it can also feel like a lot of pressure. Pressure to be better, smarter, faster, or more liked. Today, Jesus reminds us of something really important. You don’t have to prove anything. Matthew 5:3 (CSB) says, “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for the kingdom of heaven is theirs.” Jesus shared these words during the Sermon on the Mount. When He talked about being “poor in spirit,” He meant people who know they need God. Kids and parents who do not have it all figured out, but trust Jesus anyway. And Jesus says those people are already blessed. You do not earn God’s love by getting good grades, making the team, or being perfect. You start your day already loved. Even when you mess up, Jesus does not walk away. Your worth is not tied to wins, losses, or mistakes. So today, do your best. Be kind. Try hard. But do not beat yourself up if things do not go perfectly. Jesus loves you before the day even begins. Remember, no matter where you are or how you’re listening, God loves you. Parents: If this episode encouraged your child, consider sharing Carpooling with Jesus with another family. It could become part of their daily routine too. S2 Ep 317December 31st: Starting the New Year with Jesus | New Year’s Eve Devotional for Kids Carpooling with Jesus

Hey Carpool Crew… I’m Pastor Justin, and today is New Year’s Eve—the very last day of the year. Before the countdown, the snacks, and staying up late, we’re talking about how to start the new year with Jesus. James 4:8 (CSB) says, “Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.” As a new year begins, you don’t need big resolutions or a long list of goals. What matters most is choosing one simple rhythm that helps you grow closer to Jesus. When you take a small step toward Him, He helps you keep going. That rhythm could be a short prayer each morning, reading one Bible verse a day, thanking God before bed, or encouraging one person every day. Small choices, done consistently, can make a big difference. So before you go to bed tonight, pick one simple way you want to walk closer with Jesus in the new year. Write it down. Pray about it. And trust that Jesus will walk with you every step of the way. Remember, no matter where you are or how you’re listening, God loves you. Parents: If your family has enjoyed Carpooling with Jesus this year, consider subscribing on Apple or Spotify for weekend episodes, Goodnight Psalms, and Carpooling with Heroes of the Bible. S2 Ep 316December 30th: Trusting God One Step at a Time | Kids Devotional Carpooling with Jesus

Hey Carpool Crew… I’m Pastor Justin, and today we’re talking about faith—not faith that sees the whole road, but faith that takes one brave step and says, “Jesus, I trust You.” Proverbs 3:5–6 (CSB) reminds us to trust the Lord with all our hearts and not rely only on what we understand. King Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived, wrote these words. Even with all his wisdom, he knew that God sees more than we do. Following Jesus can feel like stepping into a dark room and hearing a voice say, “I’m right here. Take one step.” You may not see everything, but you can trust the One leading you. That’s what faith looks like—choosing to trust Jesus even when you feel unsure. Everyday faith shows up in small moments: telling the truth, being kind when it’s hard, forgiving someone, standing up for a friend, or trying something new. Each one is a step of faith. So this week, when something feels scary or confusing, try this simple prayer: “Jesus, I trust You.” One step of faith can change everything. Remember, no matter where you are or how you’re listening, God loves you. S2 Ep 315December 29th: Starting the New Year with Jesus | Kids Devotional Carpooling with Jesus

Hey Carpool Crew… I’m Pastor Justin, and today we’re talking about the best way to start a brand new year. Not with perfect plans or big resolutions, but with Jesus. Philippians 3:13–14 (CSB) reminds us to forget what is behind and reach forward to what is ahead. Paul wrote these words knowing firsthand that a messy past does not cancel a hopeful future. Jesus forgives, restores, and invites us to move forward. Sometimes we carry old mistakes, regrets, fear, or guilt into a new year. Jesus doesn’t want yesterday to ruin today. That doesn’t mean ignoring what went wrong. It means making things right when we can, asking for forgiveness, and trusting that God still has good plans ahead. A new year is a chance for a new direction. More kindness. More honesty. More forgiveness. More listening to Jesus. It’s not about being perfect. It’s about choosing to move forward with Him. Remember, no matter where you are or how you’re listening, God loves you. Ep 312December 26th: Jesus Is the Gift That Keeps Giving | Kids Devotional Carpooling with Jesus

Hey Carpool Crew… I’m Pastor Justin, and today we’re starting something new. Christmas may be over on the calendar, but what Jesus gives us never runs out. James 1:17 (CSB) reminds us that every good and perfect gift comes from God. That means the good things in your life—your family, friends, and even the gifts you just opened—are all reminders of how generous God is. Unlike toys or games, God’s gifts don’t break, fade, or get old. The greatest gift God ever gave us is Jesus, and He stays with us every day, not just on Christmas. God doesn’t just want us to receive His gifts. He wants us to share them. That might look like sharing a toy, using your gifts to help someone else, giving your time, or showing kindness in a simple way. So today’s challenge is this: use one of your Christmas gifts to bless someone else. When you share what God has given you, joy grows and you look more like Jesus. Remember, no matter where you are or how you’re listening, God loves you. Talk about it together: How can you share what God has given you with someone else? 🍏 Apple Podcasts: https://apple.co/4gUygJo 🎧 Spotify: https://bit.ly/SpotifyPlus ✨ Subscribe on Spotify: https://bit.ly/SpotifySubscribe 📱 Instagram: https://bit.ly/InstagramCPWJ 🚗 Facebook Community: https://bit.ly/CPWJFB Christian kids podcast, Bible stories for kids, kids devotional podcast, Jesus podcast for children, short Christian podcast for kids, podcast for kids in the car, faith-based podcast for children, Christian content for school mornings, daily Bible podcast for kids, morning devotions for families, Bible podcast for elementary kids, Jesus stories kids love, teaching kids about faith, helping kids follow Jesus, Christian parenting resources, raising Christian children, encouraging Christian kids, learning about Jesus for kids, Christian media for families.

S2 Ep 311December 25th: Jesus Is Here | Christmas Day Devotional for Kids Carpooling with Jesus Kids Devotional

Hey Carpool Crew… Merry Christmas! I’m Pastor Justin, and today we’re celebrating the best news the world has ever heard: Jesus is here. Luke 2:15 (CSB) tells us that when the angels announced Jesus’ birth, the first people invited to see Him were shepherds—regular, hardworking people. They weren’t famous or important by the world’s standards, but God chose them first to show us something powerful: Jesus came for everyone. The shepherds didn’t wait or make excuses. They hurried to Bethlehem because they wanted to see Jesus for themselves. God didn’t stay far away or too busy—He showed up. He came close, right into our world, right into our lives. S2 Ep 310December 24th: Emmanuel God With Us | Christmas Eve Devotional for Kids Carpooling with Jesus Kids Devotional

Hey Carpool Crew… I’m Pastor Justin, and today we’re wrapping up our Advent week on love—and it’s a big day. It’s Christmas Eve, and we’re talking about the moment love arrived. Matthew 1:23 (CSB) says, “They will name him Emmanuel,” which means God is with us. Before the manger, before the shepherds, before the star, God made a promise. Hundreds of years earlier, He said a child would come—and that child would show us that God didn’t stay far away. He came close. Jesus didn’t arrive as a king in a palace. He came as a baby—small, gentle, and reachable. That’s how God showed His love. Not distant. Not loud. Personal and near. Jesus understands hard days, fear, loneliness, and growing up—because He lived it too. When you feel scared or alone, He is with you. Just like when someone sits beside you when you’re upset—that comfort is what Emmanuel feels like. So today’s challenge is simple: be with someone else, just like Jesus is with you. Sit with someone who feels alone. Help without being asked. Say, “I’m here for you.” Remember, no matter where you are or how you’re listening, God loves you. Parents: Thank you for all the ways you make Christmas meaningful for your kids—the love, the time, the care. It matters more than you know. I’ll see you tomorrow for a special Christmas Day episode of Carpooling with Jesus. 🍏 Apple Podcasts: https://apple.co/4gUygJo 🎧 Spotify: https://bit.ly/SpotifyPlus ✨ Subscribe on Spotify: https://bit.ly/SpotifySubscribe 📱 Instagram: https://bit.ly/InstagramCPWJ 🚗 Facebook Community: https://bit.ly/CPWJFB This Christmas Eve episode of Carpooling with Jesus helps kids understand the meaning of Emmanuel—God with us—through Matthew 1:23. S2 Ep 309December 23rd: Born in a Manger | God’s Love for Everyone | Devotional for Kids Carpooling with Jesus Kids Devotional

Hey Carpool Crew… I’m Pastor Justin, and today we’re continuing our Advent journey toward Christmas by learning more about God’s love—and it starts in a surprising place: a manger. Luke 2:6–7 (CSB) tells us that when Jesus was born, He wasn’t placed in a palace or a fancy bed. He was laid in a manger—a feeding trough for animals. God chose a humble beginning to show us something powerful: His love is for everyone. Jesus didn’t come in comfort or luxury. He came close. His love moves toward people who feel left out, overlooked, or forgotten. From the very beginning, Jesus showed that everyone matters to God. So today, look for someone who might feel alone. Include them. Help them. Say something kind. Small acts of love can show others just how much God cares. Remember, no matter where you are or how you’re listening, God loves you. S2 Ep 308December 22nd: Finding Joy in Quiet Moments | Carpooling with Jesus Kids Devotional

Hey Carpool Crew… I’m Pastor Justin, and today we’re talking about how you can find joy in quiet moments—even when things feel slow or a little boring. Zephaniah 3:17 (CSB) tells us something incredible: God is with you, He saves you, He delights in you, and He is quiet in His love. That means God doesn’t only show up in loud or exciting moments. Sometimes His joy meets us best when everything is calm and still. Quiet moments can feel uncomfortable at first, but they can also become special places where God reminds you that you are loved, safe, and never alone. Joy doesn’t always need noise. Sometimes it grows in peace. So today, don’t rush through the quiet. Slow down. Take a breath. Let God’s quiet love fill your heart with joy. Remember, no matter where you are or how you’re listening, God loves you. Hey Carpool Crew… I’m Pastor Justin, and I’m so glad you’re here! Fridays feel great because the weekend is almost here—but today we’re talking about a joy that’s even stronger than Friday joy: the joy that comes from remembering God’s promises. Joshua 21:45 (CSB) says, “None of the good promises the Lord had made… failed. Everything was fulfilled.” God’s people went through years of waiting, wandering, and battles—but when they finally looked back, they realized something amazing: God kept every single promise. Not some. Not most. All of them. That’s why God’s promises bring real joy. When you remember what God has done, you can trust what He will do next. Even when life feels stressful or uncertain, God’s promises are steady and strong. So today, think of one promise from God. Say it out loud. Share it with a parent or a friend. And trust that God will keep working in your life. Remember, no matter where you are or how you’re listening, God loves you. S2 Ep 303December 18: Choosing Gratitude Leads to Joy | Advent Devotional for Kids Carpooling with Jesus Kids Devotional

Hey Carpool Crew… Happy Thursday! Today we’re talking about how choosing gratitude leads to joy—even when your week feels long or a little hard. 1 Thessalonians 5:16–18 (CSB) reminds us to rejoice always, pray constantly, and give thanks in everything. Paul wrote this to people who were facing real challenges, and he reminded them that gratitude isn’t about pretending things are perfect—it’s about remembering that God is still good. Gratitude is like a switch. When you choose it, joy lights up. Even on tough days, God helps you notice the good—small blessings, kind moments, and reminders that He is close. So today, try this: name three things you’re thankful for. Then thank God for being near—because He always is. Remember, no matter where you are or how you’re listening, God loves you. Hey Carpool Crew… Happy Wednesday! I’m Pastor Justin, and I’m so glad you’re here as we continue our Advent journey toward Christmas. Today we’re talking about the joy that comes from God’s good news. Isaiah 52:7 (CSB) reminds us how beautiful it is when someone brings good news—peace, salvation, and hope. Isaiah wrote this hundreds of years before Jesus was born, but the message was clear: God hasn’t forgotten His people. A Savior is coming. That’s why the good news of Jesus still brings joy today. When you remember that Jesus loves you, forgives you, and is always near—joy follows. And just like good news changes your day, God’s good news can change your heart. So today, look for one way to pass that joy along—encourage a friend, help a sibling, or give someone a kind word. Remember, no matter where you are or how you’re listening, God loves you. Hey Carpool Crew… Happy Tuesday! I’m Pastor Justin, and I’m so glad you’re here as we continue our Advent journey toward Christmas. Today we’re talking about a joy that doesn’t depend on circumstances. Habakkuk 3:17–18 (CSB) reminds us that even when everything goes wrong, we can still rejoice in God. Habakkuk lived in a really hard time, but he chose joy—not because life was easy, but because God was still good. That’s the kind of joy Jesus gives us. It doesn’t disappear on hard days. It stays because Jesus stays with you. Even when life feels stressful or confusing, His joy can still shine through. So today, tell Jesus what’s on your heart. Look for one good thing. And remember—joy comes from Jesus, not your circumstances. Remember, no matter where you are or how you’re listening, God loves you. Hey Carpool Crew… Happy Monday! I’m Pastor Justin, and I’m so glad you’re here as we keep moving through Advent toward Christmas. Today we’re talking about joy—the kind that stays with you because it comes from Jesus. John 15:11 (CSB) says, “I have told you these things so that my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete.” Jesus didn’t say, “Go find joy.” He said, “I’m giving you My joy.” This joy doesn’t disappear on hard Mondays, rough mornings, or stressful school days. It stays because it comes from Jesus. So today, ask Jesus for His joy. Look for one good thing. Smile. Encourage someone. Let His joy be with you all day. Hey Carpool Crew, today we’re learning that Jesus gives us peace when we feel nervous, scared, or unsure. In John 14:27, Jesus tells His friends, “My peace I give you… Don’t let your heart be troubled or fearful.” Even though His disciples didn’t know what was coming next, Jesus wanted them to know they would never face anything alone. This episode helps kids understand that Jesus’ peace is stronger than fear. Whether it’s talking in front of the class, going somewhere new, sleeping in the dark, or facing something that feels “too big,” Jesus is right there with them. Hey Carpool Crew, today we’re learning what it means to actually make peace—not just enjoy it. In Matthew 5:9, Jesus says, “Blessed are the peacemakers,” reminding us that kids who choose kindness instead of arguing, calm instead of drama, and gentleness instead of snapping back are showing the world what God is like. This episode teaches kids that being a peacemaker doesn’t mean ignoring problems or pretending everything is fine. It means handling tough moments the way Jesus would—by pausing before reacting, using kind words even when frustrated, and helping others cool down or make things right. Peacemakers aren’t weak… they’re strong, thoughtful, and brave enough to bring calm wherever they go. 🔗 Listen & Subscribe 🍏 Apple Podcasts: https://apple.co/4gUygJo 🎧 Spotify: https://bit.ly/SpotifyPlus ✨ Subscribe on Spotify: https://bit.ly/SpotifySubscribe 📱 Instagram: https://bit.ly/InstagramCPWJ 🚗 Facebook Community: https://bit.ly/CPWJFB Christian kids podcast, Bible stories for kids, kids devotional podcast, Jesus podcast for children, short Christian podcast for kids, podcast for kids in the car, faith-based podcast for children, Christian content for school mornings, daily Bible podcast for kids, morning devotions for families, Bible podcast for elementary kids, Jesus stories kids love, teaching kids about faith, helping kids follow Jesus, Christian parenting resources, raising Christian children, encouraging Christian kids, learning about Jesus for kids, Christian media for families

S2 Ep 295December 10: Why the Angels Said “Peace on Earth” | Devotional for Kids Carpooling with Jesus Kids Devotional

Hey Carpool Crew, today we’re learning why the angels announced “peace on earth” the night Jesus was born. Luke 2:14 tells us that the angels didn’t bring this message to kings or famous people—they shared it with ordinary shepherds, showing that God’s peace is for everybody. Kids who feel confident and kids who feel shy. Kids with big friend groups and kids who sit alone sometimes. Families that seem put together and families that feel a little messy. Jesus came for all of us. This episode encourages kids to look around and notice who might be left out, standing alone, or hoping someone would include them. When children invite others in—into a game, a seat at lunch, or a conversation—they help show the world what God’s peace really looks like. God’s peace isn’t small or limited. S2 Ep 293December 8th: Jesus Says “Be Still” to the Storm | Devotional for Kids Carpooling with Jesus Kids Devotional

Hey Carpool Crew, today we’re learning about how Jesus brings peace even when life feels loud, stressful, or out of control. In Mark 4:39, Jesus stood up in the middle of a huge storm and said, “Peace. Be still.” And everything went quiet. The waves stopped. The wind calmed. The storm ended—just because Jesus spoke. This episode reminds kids that the same Jesus who calmed the wind and waves can calm our hearts too. Even when school is stressful, plans fall apart, friends argue, or things feel messy at home, Jesus is right there. When we pause, breathe, and ask Him for peace, He can settle our hearts even if the situation hasn’t changed yet. Hey Carpool Crew, today we’re finishing our first full week of Advent by talking about something really important—hope has a name, and His name is Jesus. In Matthew 1:21, the angel tells Joseph to name the baby Jesus because “He will save His people from their sins.” The name Jesus literally means “The Lord saves.” This episode reminds kids and families that hope isn’t just a nice thought or a wish—it’s a person. When we say “Jesus,” we are saying that God saves, God keeps His promises, and God is close. If you ever feel nervous, unsure, or alone, whispering His name reminds you that He’s right there with you. Hey Carpool Crew, we’ve been talking all about hope this week as we journey through Advent toward Christmas! 🎄 I’m Pastor Justin, and today we’re learning about something that’s not easy — waiting. Our verse is Isaiah 40:3 (CSB): “A voice of one crying out: Prepare the way of the Lord in the wilderness; make a straight highway for our God in the desert.” God’s people had waited a long time and were tired of wondering if He still had a plan. But through Isaiah, God said, “I haven’t forgotten you — get ready for Me.” If Jesus were sitting beside you, I think He’d say, “Waiting isn’t a waste of time — it’s heart time.” Waiting teaches us to trust, pray, and grow closer to God. Advent reminds us that waiting isn’t a pause in the story — it’s part of it. Hey Carpool Crew, this week we’re talking about hope as we travel through Advent toward Christmas! 🌟 I’m Pastor Justin, and today we’re looking at one of God’s earliest promises — the one He made to Abraham. Our verse is Genesis 12:1–3 (CSB): “I will make you into a great nation... and all the peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” God told Abraham that his family would grow and one day bless the whole world. And guess what? That promise came true when Jesus was born through Abraham’s family line! From the very beginning of the Bible, God was already planning Christmas. If Jesus were sitting beside you today, I think He’d say, “When I make a promise, I keep it.” God’s promises never fail, and we can trust Him completely. When we keep our own promises — even small ones — we show others what God’s faithfulness looks like. Why? Because God loves to use small things to do incredible things. If Jesus were sitting beside you, I think He’d say, “I love starting with small things — like you. What seems little can change the world when I’m part of it.” So today, don’t overlook the small stuff — a kind word, a helping hand, or even a prayer can make a big difference. God isn’t looking for perfection; He’s looking for hearts that are ready to say yes. ❤️ Family question: What’s one small way you could show God’s love to someone else today? 🔗 Listen & Subscribe 🍏 Apple Podcasts: https://apple.co/4gUygJo 🎧 Spotify: https://bit.ly/SpotifyPlus ✨ Subscribe on Spotify: https://bit.ly/SpotifySubscribe 📱 Instagram: https://bit.ly/InstagramCPWJ 🚗 Facebook Community: https://bit.ly/CPWJFB Christian kids podcast, Bible stories for kids, kids devotional podcast, Jesus podcast for children, short Christian podcast for kids, podcast for kids in the car, faith-based podcast for children, Christian content for school mornings, daily Bible podcast for kids, morning devotions for families, Bible podcast for elementary kids, Jesus stories kids love, teaching kids about faith, helping kids follow Jesus, Christian parenting resources, raising Christian children, encouraging Christian kids, learning about Jesus for kids, Christian media for families.

S2 Ep 280November 28th: Thankfulness Doesn’t End After Thanksgiving | Devotional for Kids Carpooling with Jesus Kids Devotional

Hey, if you’re listening on Spotify, head over to our new podcast feed here: 🎧 https://bit.ly/SpotifyPlus Also, you can subscribe on Spotify for our weekend episodes, plus Goodnight Psalms and Carpooling with Heroes of the Bible: ✨ https://bit.ly/SpotifySubscribe Hey Carpool Crew, Happy Friday! Maybe you’re eating some Thanksgiving leftovers or just catching up on sleep — either way, I’m Pastor Justin, and I’m so glad you’re here. Today’s reminder is simple but powerful: thankfulness isn’t just for one day. It’s not about a holiday on the calendar — it’s something we can live out every single day. Our verse for today comes from 1 Thessalonians 5:18: “Give thanks in everything, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” Did you catch that? It doesn’t say “give thanks on Thanksgiving.” It says in everything. That means we can be thankful when life is fun and easy — and even when it’s not. Let’s think about Daniel — one of my son Beckett’s favorite Bible stories. Daniel was far from home in a strange land. He missed everything familiar, but the Bible says Daniel “prayed and gave thanks to God just as he had done before” (Daniel 6:10). Even when life was hard, Daniel didn’t stop being thankful — and that thankfulness made his faith strong enough to face lions! If Jesus were sitting in the car with you today, I think He’d say, “Keep thanking God — not just on special days, but every day. The more you thank Me, the stronger your faith will grow.” Here’s how that works: the more you practice thankfulness — just like practicing the piano, or shooting free throws, or learning a new skill — the better you get at it. When you say, “Thank you, God,” every day — for your family, your food, your friends, or even the challenges you face — your heart learns to see God’s goodness in everything. So don’t let your thankfulness stop after Thanksgiving. Thankful hearts don’t need a holiday — they just need a moment. Before you go, talk about this together: What’s one thing you can thank God for — not just today, but every day this week? And remember, no matter where you are or how you’re listening, God loves you. 🔗 Listen & Subscribe 🍏 Apple Podcasts: https://apple.co/4gUygJo 🎧 Spotify: https://bit.ly/SpotifyPlus 📺 YouTube: https://bit.ly/YoutubeCPWJ 💻 Podbean: https://bit.ly/PodbeanCPWJ 📱 Instagram: https://bit.ly/InstagramCPWJ 🚗 Facebook Community: https://bit.ly/CPWJFB Christian kids podcast, Bible stories for kids, kids devotional podcast, Jesus podcast for children, short Christian podcast for kids, podcast for kids in the car, faith-based podcast for children, Christian content for school mornings, daily Bible podcast for kids, morning devotions for families, Bible podcast for elementary kids, Jesus stories kids love, teaching kids about faith, helping kids follow Jesus, Christian parenting resources, raising Christian children, encouraging Christian kids, learning about Jesus for kids, Christian media for families.

S2 Ep 279November 27th: I Love What I Have — It Couldn’t Be Better | Devotional for Kids Carpooling with Jesus Kids Devotional

Hey, if you’re listening on Spotify, head over to our new podcast feed here: 🎧 https://bit.ly/SpotifyPlus Also, you can subscribe on Spotify for our weekend episodes, plus Goodnight Psalms and Carpooling with Heroes of the Bible: ✨ https://bit.ly/SpotifySubscribe Hey Carpool Crew, and Happy Thanksgiving! I’m Pastor Justin — and I want you to know, right up front, I’m thankful for YOU. Whether you’re playing football, helping in the kitchen, or just hanging out with your family today, this episode is a reminder that true thankfulness isn’t about having more — it’s about loving what you already have. Our verse today comes from Psalm 107:1 — “Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His faithful love endures forever.” That verse reminds us that God’s goodness never runs out. The people in the Bible who were closest to God weren’t the ones who had everything — they were the ones who gave thanks the most. Even King David, when life was hard, kept singing, “Thank you, Lord, for your love and goodness.” If Jesus were sitting next to you at the Thanksgiving table, I think He’d smile and say, “You don’t need everything to be perfect to be thankful. Look around — I’m here with you. Your family’s here. You are loved. That’s enough.” So here’s something to try today: whenever you catch yourself wishing for something someone else has — maybe a bigger piece of pie, a cooler bike, or a fancier house — stop and say, “I love what I have. It couldn’t be better.” Because when you focus on what you already have, joy starts to grow inside you. Gratitude changes the way your heart feels — it turns envy into peace, and comparison into contentment. Here’s your Thanksgiving Challenge — one that works every day of the year: 👉 Every time you catch yourself wishing for something more, pause and say, “I love what I have. It couldn’t be better.” Thankful people don’t wait for perfect stuff or perfect days — they know that God’s love makes today enough. Before you go, talk about this together: What’s something in your life right now that you can say, “I love this. It couldn’t be better”? And remember, no matter where you are or how you’re listening, God loves you. 🔗 Listen & Subscribe 🍏 Apple Podcasts: https://apple.co/4gUygJo 🎧 Spotify: https://bit.ly/SpotifyPlus 📺 YouTube: https://bit.ly/YoutubeCPWJ 💻 Podbean: https://bit.ly/PodbeanCPWJ 📱 Instagram: https://bit.ly/InstagramCPWJ 🚗 Facebook Community: https://bit.ly/CPWJFB Christian kids podcast, Bible stories for kids, kids devotional podcast, Jesus podcast for children, short Christian podcast for kids, podcast for kids in the car, faith-based podcast for children, Christian content for school mornings, daily Bible podcast for kids, morning devotions for families, Bible podcast for elementary kids, Jesus stories kids love, teaching kids about faith, helping kids follow Jesus, Christian parenting resources, raising Christian children, encouraging Christian kids, learning about Jesus for kids, Christian media for families.

S2 Ep 278November 26th: Taste and See That God Is Good | Devotional for Kids Carpooling with Jesus Kids Devotional

Hey, if you’re listening on Spotify, head over to our new podcast feed here: 🎧 https://bit.ly/SpotifyPlus Also, you can subscribe on Spotify for our weekend episodes, plus Goodnight Psalms and Carpooling with Heroes of the Bible: ✨ https://bit.ly/SpotifySubscribe Hey Carpool Crew, it’s Pastor Justin — and tomorrow’s a big day… Thanksgiving! I don’t know about you, but I’m already thinking about what I’m going to eat. Pumpkin pie, mashed potatoes, all of it! But today, we’re talking about something even better — those “ah moments” when everything just feels right. You know the ones — that first sip of hot chocolate on a cold morning, or the first bite of your favorite pizza when it’s warm and cheesy. You smile, your heart feels happy, and you just think, “Ah.” Those moments remind us that God made us to experience joy. In Psalm 34:8, it says, “Taste and see that the Lord is good.” This verse isn’t just about food — it’s about noticing how good God is in every part of life. Every time you laugh, smell cookies baking, or see a sunset, you’re getting a taste of His goodness. When David wrote this psalm, he was actually running for his life — but even then, he stopped to say, “God is good.” If Jesus were sitting next to you on the couch or in the car, I think He’d say, “Slow down. Notice the good things I’ve given you — your family, your favorite meal, the sunshine. Enjoy them. They’re gifts from Me.” So here’s your challenge today: find one “ah moment.” Maybe it’s a smell, a laugh, or something that just feels peaceful. When you find it, pause and say, “Thank you, God. You are good.” Because when you notice the small things, you’ll start to see that God’s goodness is everywhere. Before you go, talk about this together: What’s something that made you say “ah” recently, and how could you thank God for it? And remember, no matter where you are or how you’re listening, God loves you. 🔗 Listen & Subscribe 🍏 Apple Podcasts: https://apple.co/4gUygJo 🎧 Spotify: https://bit.ly/SpotifyPlus 📺 YouTube: https://bit.ly/YoutubeCPWJ 💻 Podbean: https://bit.ly/PodbeanCPWJ 📱 Instagram: https://bit.ly/InstagramCPWJ 🚗 Facebook Community: https://bit.ly/CPWJFB Christian kids podcast, Bible stories for kids, kids devotional podcast, Jesus podcast for children, short Christian podcast for kids, podcast for kids in the car, faith-based podcast for children, Christian content for school mornings, daily Bible podcast for kids, morning devotions for families, Bible podcast for elementary kids, Jesus stories kids love, teaching kids about faith, helping kids follow Jesus, Christian parenting resources, raising Christian children, encouraging Christian kids, learning about Jesus for kids, Christian media for families.

S2 Ep 277November 25th: Thankfulness Takes Courage | Devotional for Kids Carpooling with Jesus Kids Devotional

Hey, if you’re listening on Spotify, head over to our new podcast feed here: 🎧 https://bit.ly/SpotifyPlus Also, you can subscribe on Spotify for our weekend episodes, plus Goodnight Psalms and Carpooling with Heroes of the Bible: ✨ https://bit.ly/SpotifySubscribe Hey Carpool Crew, it’s Pastor Justin — and today we’re talking about something that’s harder than it looks: saying thank you, even when it’s uncomfortable. Maybe someone handed you a gift, everyone was watching, and you mumbled a quiet “thanks.” We’ve all been there! But here’s the truth — real thankfulness actually takes courage. In 1 Thessalonians 5:18, it says, “Give thanks in everything, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” That means God wants us to be thankful — not just when life is easy, but even when things are messy or don’t go our way. When Paul wrote those words, he wasn’t relaxing somewhere nice — he was in prison, cold and unsure what would happen next. But even there, he said, “Give thanks.” That’s brave faith. Gratitude isn’t about perfect situations — it’s about having a strong heart that trusts God no matter what. If Jesus were sitting next to you in the car, I think He’d say, “It’s brave to be thankful, even when it feels awkward. Every time you say thank you, you shine My light.” In this episode, we’ll talk about how saying thank you — especially when it’s hard — shows humility, courage, and love. You’ll even get a simple challenge: pick one person (a teacher, coach, or parent) and say thank you — out loud — and tell them why you’re thankful. Or, if you want to go further, write them a thank-you note like we talked about in a previous episode. Remember, gratitude grows your heart — and courage grows your faith. Before you go, talk about this together: Why do you think it’s sometimes hard to say “thank you”? And remember, no matter where you are or how you’re listening, God loves you. 🔗 Listen & Subscribe 🍏 Apple Podcasts: https://apple.co/4gUygJo 🎧 Spotify: https://bit.ly/SpotifyPlus 📺 YouTube: https://bit.ly/YoutubeCPWJ 💻 Podbean: https://bit.ly/PodbeanCPWJ 📱 Instagram: https://bit.ly/InstagramCPWJ 🚗 Facebook Community: https://bit.ly/CPWJFB Christian kids podcast, Bible stories for kids, kids devotional podcast, Jesus podcast for children, short Christian podcast for kids, podcast for kids in the car, faith-based podcast for children, Christian content for school mornings, daily Bible podcast for kids, morning devotions for families, Bible podcast for elementary kids, Jesus stories kids love, teaching kids about faith, helping kids follow Jesus, Christian parenting resources, raising Christian children, encouraging Christian kids, learning about Jesus for kids, Christian media for families.

It’s not full of numbers or symbols… it’s just two simple words: “Thank you.” Those words open the door to something way better than a game or an app — they open the door to God’s presence. In Psalm 100:4, it says, “Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise.” Back when this verse was written, people would go to the temple to worship God. Before they even stepped inside, they came singing and thanking Him. Gratitude wasn’t just about good manners — it was how they got close to God. And the best part? We don’t need a temple anymore. We can say “thank you” anywhere — in the car, at school, or right before bed — and instantly draw near to Him. If Jesus were sitting next to you today, I think He’d say, “Every time you say thank you, you come closer to My Father. You show that you notice His goodness — and that makes His heart smile.” In this episode, you’ll learn how being thankful unlocks peace and joy in your heart. Complaining can make us feel closed off, but gratitude swings the door wide open to God’s presence. Try it today — whenever something good happens, whisper: “Thank you, God.” Even small things — a good lunch, a kind friend, or finding a quarter — are chances to use God’s password. Before you go, talk about this together: When could you use “thank you” as your password today? And remember, no matter where you are or how you’re listening, God loves you. 🔗 Listen & Subscribe 🍏 Apple Podcasts: https://apple.co/4gUygJo 🎧 Spotify: https://bit.ly/SpotifyPlus 📺 YouTube: https://bit.ly/YoutubeCPWJ 💻 Podbean: https://bit.ly/PodbeanCPWJ 📱 Instagram: https://bit.ly/InstagramCPWJ 🚗 Facebook Community: https://bit.ly/CPWJFB Christian kids podcast, Bible stories for kids, kids devotional podcast, Jesus podcast for children, short Christian podcast for kids, podcast for kids in the car, faith-based podcast for children, Christian content for school mornings, daily Bible podcast for kids, morning devotions for families, Bible podcast for elementary kids, Jesus stories kids love, teaching kids about faith, helping kids follow Jesus, Christian parenting resources, raising Christian children, encouraging Christian kids, learning about Jesus for kids, Christian media for families.

Whether it’s breakfast before school, dinner around the table, or pizza on the couch for movie night, eating together is about more than just food — it’s about connection. In Luke 19:5–6, it says, “When Jesus came to the place, he looked up and said to him, ‘Zacchaeus, hurry and come down because today it is necessary for me to stay at your house.’ So he quickly came down and welcomed him joyfully.” Jesus didn’t just stop to talk to Zacchaeus — He shared a meal with him. And back then, eating with someone meant something really important: friendship, acceptance, and belonging. That’s the same message we share when we sit down at the table with people we love. If Jesus were sitting with you today, I think He’d say, “I love when families eat together. It’s not just about the food — it’s about being present with one another. When you sit at the table, I’m right there too.” In this episode, we’ll talk about how every meal — big or small — can become a memory full of laughter, love, and gratitude. We’ll learn that mealtime is one of the easiest ways to show thankfulness, build connection, and even share God’s love with your family. Before you go, talk about this together: What’s one thing you could do during mealtime to make it more meaningful for your family? Hey, if you’re listening on Spotify, head over to our new podcast feed here: 🎧 https://bit.ly/SpotifyPlus Also, you can subscribe on Spotify for our weekend episodes, plus Goodnight Psalms and Carpooling with Heroes of the Bible: ✨ https://bit.ly/SpotifySubscribe Hey Carpool Crew, it’s Pastor Justin — and today we’re talking about something that’s not always easy to be thankful for: discipline. Yep, that word that makes everyone cringe a little! Whether it’s losing screen time, getting sent to your room, or having to say sorry when you don’t want to — no one likes those moments. But guess what? God uses discipline to help us grow. In Hebrews 12:6, it says, “For the Lord disciplines the one He loves.” The early Christians who first read this verse were going through some really tough times. They were wondering, “If God loves me, why is this so hard?” The writer reminded them that discipline isn’t punishment — it’s love. Just like a good coach or a loving parent corrects you so you can grow stronger, God steps in to guide us because He cares deeply about who we’re becoming. If Jesus were sitting next to you in the car, I think He’d say, “When you get corrected, don’t just get upset — listen. You’re being taught because you’re loved. I see the kind of person you can become, even when you can’t see it yet.” In this episode, we’ll talk about how to see discipline as protection, not punishment — and why it’s something to actually be thankful for. From coaches who push us to try again, to parents who make rules to keep us safe, every correction is shaping us into who God designed us to be. Before you go, talk about this together: What’s one time you got disciplined that helped you grow or change for the better? Hey, if you’re listening on Spotify, head over to our new podcast feed here: 🎧 https://bit.ly/SpotifyPlus Also, you can subscribe on Spotify for our weekend episodes, plus Goodnight Psalms and Carpooling with Heroes of the Bible: ✨ https://bit.ly/SpotifySubscribe Hey Carpool Crew, it’s Pastor Justin — and today we’re talking about something that can feel a little tricky: the future. Sometimes we’re excited about what’s ahead — a game, a trip, or something fun — but other times the future can feel uncertain or even a little scary. The good news? God already knows what’s coming, and His plans are always good. In Jeremiah 29:11, it says, “For I know the plans I have for you — this is the Lord’s declaration — plans for your well-being, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” This verse was written when God’s people were living far from home in Babylon. They were scared, confused, and wondering if God had forgotten about them. But through Jeremiah, God reminded them that He still had a plan — a good one — even when they couldn’t see it yet. If Jesus were sitting next to you right now, I think He’d say, “You don’t have to be afraid of tomorrow, because I’m already there. You might not see the whole picture yet, but I do. Trust Me — every piece of your story fits perfectly in My plan.” In this episode, we’ll talk about how trusting God is kind of like putting together a big puzzle without seeing the box top. We don’t always understand how the pieces fit, but God does. Every day, He’s arranging things for our good — and that’s something we can be thankful for. Before you go, talk about this together: What’s something in the future you’re nervous about, and how can you thank God in advance for being with you through it? And remember, no matter where you are or how you’re listening, God loves you. 🔗 Listen & Subscribe 🍏 Apple Podcasts: https://apple.co/4gUygJo 🎧 Spotify: https://bit.ly/SpotifyPlus 📺 YouTube: https://bit.ly/YoutubeCPWJ 💻 Podbean: https://bit.ly/PodbeanCPWJ 📱 Instagram: https://bit.ly/InstagramCPWJ 🚗 Facebook Community: https://bit.ly/CPWJFB Christian kids podcast, Bible stories for kids, kids devotional podcast, Jesus podcast for children, short Christian podcast for kids, podcast for kids in the car, faith-based podcast for children, Christian content for school mornings, daily Bible podcast for kids, morning devotions for families, Bible podcast for elementary kids, Jesus stories kids love, teaching kids about faith, helping kids follow Jesus, Christian parenting resources, raising Christian children, encouraging Christian kids, learning about Jesus for kids, Christian media for families.
