Reforest Our World with Forest Planet and Circleb.co
bonusThis week, we're sharing an earlier conversation with Hank Dearden, who we featured in October 2022. He runs a not-for-profit called Forest Planet, and he’s able to do something truly amazing – he plants trees for just $0.15 each. How does he do it? By working within communities where the dollar goes further. He’s recently taken on a project in Morocco where they are planting fig trees, and where they are working to restore biodiversity, shifting from mono-cropped fields to biodynamic regenerative farms that incorporate more species, that reduce tillage, and that incorporate livestock. As he states on his blog page about their work in Morocco – which I’ll link to with show notes – The Right Trees, Planted in the Right Way, at the Right Time are an economically viable alternative. Before I share the episode, I also want to remind you that I’ve decided to support Hank and Forest Planet this year as my charity of choice. Ep 204Combating Racism, Misogyny, and The Patriarchy | TikTok Creator - Karen @kclmft
It is not easy to talk about racism, misogynism, and patriarchy these days, even though they severely mess up the present state of our society. Karen, who goes by @kclmft on TikTok, bravely discusses these topics on the internet, mainly to put down the horrible concept of Trumpism and Project 2025. She joins Corinna Bellizzi to share how she is being hunted by the former president’s MAGA crew as she uses her online platform to call out his racist and misogynistic behavior. For that reason, we won’t be revealing her full name, nor linking to her business on our podcast nor on our blog page.
