This week, we take some time to dive into Dei Verbum, the Church’s dogmatic constitution on divine revelation. We discuss the importance of knowing what the Church says about God’s Word as a source of encouragement.

Peter ends his preaching with a proclamation about the identity of Jesus: that the Father has made him Lord and Christ. Today we dive into the importance of receiving Jesus both as our Savior and our King.

Today we read that Peter preaches the Gospel with clarity and power. We discuss how the Holy Spirit empowers us and the Church to preach God’s Word with clarity and conviction.

We see the apostles receiving the Holy Spirit as Pentecost, and today we discuss God’s desire to pour the Holy Spirit out upon the whole Church, including each and every one of us.

As we continue through Acts 2, we see that as the apostles receive the Holy Spirit, they receive an increased power and authority for the mission of evangelization God has given them.

This week, we dive into the story of Pentecost in Acts 2. On today’s episode, we focus on the importance of the apostles receiving the power of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus does what Adam, Abraham, Noah, and Moses could not – fulfills the law through His life, death, and resurrection. In this episode, we discuss how Jesus’ obedience brings us out salvation.

As we wrap up the week of daily readings, in the Gospel we hear Jesus place a strong call of sacrifice of everything for the Kingdom onto his disciples. As we consider our own walk with Jesus, we pray to have the courage to deny ourselves and follow him to Calvary.

In today’s episode, we turn our attention to the Gospel of Mark where we see Peter making a messianic proclamation about Jesus, which leads to Jesus sharing with them what is to come.

Today, we focus on the Psalm response and practice using the psalm given to us as a way to offer praise and gratitude to the Lord throughout the day.

As we continue the daily readings, we start the story of Noah and witness how God begins to show us His plan of Salvation even from the beginning of man’s disobedience and corruption.

The Samaritans are transformed when they encounter Jesus’ word as he teaches and preaches to them. Our witness is important, but it is the true Word of God that changes and transforms hearts.

When the Samaritan woman encounters Jesus, she is so transformed that she leaves her water jug and goes into the city to testify to who Jesus is. In this episode, we discuss how Jesus calls each of us into a deeper transformation that empowers us to leave our old patterns of living behind.

As He talks with the woman at the well, Jesus sees her and loves her for who she truly is. For each one of us, He meets us where we are and sees us even in our sin. We discuss how we let Jesus see us and heal us in our brokenness. 

Jesus’ meeting of the Samaritan woman follows an Old Testament pattern of significant meetings at wells, particularly the meeting of Jacob and Rachel. Through this understanding, we explore Jesus bringing fulfillment to the old covenant through this meeting with the Samaritan woman.

In today’s episode, we begin a journey through the story of the Samaritan woman at the well in John 4. We see how Jesus follows the plan laid out by His Father to encounter this woman in her own brokenness.

As we wrap up the week in Galatians 4, we see Paul leading us to a deeper understanding of what it means to be adopted into the family of God.

Moving through Galatians, Paul describes the relationship between the law and faith, describing what God has done for us through the gift of faith in His Son, Jesus.

As we continue through a few of Paul’s letters, we consider Paul’s definition of the true Gospel of Jesus and examine the false gospels of our age.

In today’s episode, work through the beginning of Hebrews 1 where Paul discusses Jesus as God the Father’s final Word to the human race and Paul exalting the majesty and glory of Jesus.
