CTW: Bills Fail Offensively in Loss to Ravens, 24-17

E

We recap the Buffalo Bills coming up short offensively to the Baltimore Ravens, 24-17, to go 9-4 on the year and keep the #5 seed in the AFC Playoff Race. The Defense keeps up with one of the most dynamic offenses and QBs in the league, Lamar Jackson, but the Offense can't keep up or get out of its own way in this loss. The pass protection was almost non-existent for Josh Allen, there were plenty of drops by Bills receivers, and the broadcast team again laid an egg for replays and commentating. We announce the signed Tremaine Edgmunds jersey winner, and, as always, we discuss our general thoughts on the game, stats of the game, plays of the game (Sweet Sassy Molassy!), who goes on our Wall of Fame and who goes on the Wall of Shame (and turn to Twitter for some great reaction from our followers). Billieve: Bills Dominate Broncos

Host John Boccacino and co-host Jamie D'Amico discuss the Buffalo Bills' dominant 20-3 victory over the Denver Broncos, a team Buffalo should (and did) dominate. Among the topics discussed: the defense was outstanding, holding Denver to 49 net passing yards, 85 rushing yards and 134 total yards of offense. The Broncos were held to less than three yards per play, the fourth-fewest in a game this year as Buffalo pitched its third first-half shutout of the year. One of the AFC's leading wide receivers, Cortland Sutton, was completely taken out of the game by Tre’Davious White as White continues to show he is a true lockdown cornerback. Linebacker Matt Milano posted another huge game, as did rookie Devin Singletary (106 rushing yards on 21 carries for the first 100-yard game of his young career). The offensive line was spectacular as Buffalo rushed for 238 rushing yards despite an injury to center Mitch Morse. Rookie Cody Ford was excellent against Von Miller, as were Quinton Spain, Dion Dawkins, Spencer Long and Jon Feliciano. Josh Allen, who has struggled against good defenses this year, completed 60 percent or more of his passes for the eighth time in 11 games, Allen found success against a Broncos' defense that was fifth against the pass entering Sunday. Our podcasters discuss running back Frank Gore passing Barry Sanders for third on the all-time rushing list, then offer up a preview of Buffalo's Thanksgiving day clash vs. the Dallas Cowboys. CTW: Bills Send Broncos Packing 20-3, to go 8-3

E

We recap the Buffalo Bills sending the Denver Broncos packing 20-3, to go 8-3 with a 2 game hold on the AFC Wild Card spot. Devin Singletary gets fed early and often, the Defense only allows 134 yards, the run blocking was tremendous, Cody Fordy fended off Von Miller, and plenty of other great story-lines coming out of this game to discuss! We also have the John Brown signed jersey giveaway announcement and much more! And, as always, we discuss our general thoughts on the game, stats of the game, plays of the game (Sweet Sassy Molassy!), who goes on our Wall of Fame and who goes on the Wall of Shame (and turn to Twitter for some great reaction from our followers). Billieve: Another Must-Win vs. Denver Broncos

Host John Boccacino is joined by co-host Jamie D'Amico to analyze the Buffalo Bills' (7-3) Week 12 game vs. the Denver Broncos (3-7). Among the topics discussed: with tackle Ty Nsekhe sidelined, the role of slowing down all-world edge rusher Von Miller falls on rookie Cody Ford. Is Ford up to the task? Coming off arguably the best game of his young career, Josh Allen will need to get rid of the ball quickly, looking to rely on quick passes to Cole Beasley, along with the red-hot John Brown to guide the offense. Rookie Devin Singletary needs to have another monster game, Denver's run game is susceptible to runs up the middle, and tight ends Lee Smith and Dawson Knox will need to both chip and help contain Miller, and contribute in the passing game. Facing a top 10 Broncos' defense will serve as a good test for Allen, who so far this year has struggled against elite defenses. The Broncos bring a four-game losing streak into Sunday, with four losses by a touchdown or less. Can Buffalo apply enough pressure to rattle Brandon Allen? Can Tre'Davious White slow down the AFC's other breakout wide receiver, Cortland Sutton? What role will rookie TE Noah Fant have against a Bills' defense that is typically stingy against tight ends? Billieve: Beatdown in South Beach

Host John Boccacino is joined by co-host Jamie D'Amico to break down the Buffalo Bills' 37-20 win over the Miami Dolphins in South Beach. Among the topics discussed: one week after being told to play fearless, Josh Allen responded with arguably his best game as a pro, making smart reads and accurate throws while directing an up-tempo offense that moved the ball at will against the Dolphins. Buffalo relied on much of the same 11 personnel (one RB, one TE and three WRs) to be successful on Sunday in a game where offensive coordinator Brian Daboll coached from up in the booth compared to on the sidelines. WR John Brown continued his outstanding start to his career in Buffalo, Devin Singletary ran the ball effectively, and Stephen Hauschka got his groove back for Buffalo. The Bills also blitzed more than they have in quite some time as eight Bills recorded at least half a sack. LB Tremaine Edmunds delivered a breakout performance after delivering a passionate speech to his teammates Saturday, while the special teams proved to be not so special, especially after Siran Neal departed with a concussion. CTW: 7-3 Bills dominate Dolphins 37-20, sit in top Wild Card spot

E

We recap the Buffalo Bills dominating the Miami Dolphins 37-20, to go 7-3. What are your thoughts on Brian Daboll's playcalling? Should he stay in the booth until the end of time? Or was it his mustache that told him to feed Devin Singletary early and often? How about that 7-sack performance by the Bills Defense? What about that Special Teams kick coverage unit? Yeesh. Billieve: Squish the Fish 2: Must-Win in South Beach

Host John Boccacino is joined by co-host Jamie D'Amico to break down the Buffalo Bills (6-3) road clash vs. the Miami Dolphins (2-7), which is a must-win game if the Bills want to remain in contention for a playoff berth. Among the topics discussed: head coach Sean McDermott wants quarterback Josh Allen playing fearlessly. Is this the week we see Allen get the deep passing game going by taking more downfield shots against a depleted Dolphins' secondary? Getting Cole Beasley going with short and intermediate passes will be a key to the offense's success. One week after abandoning the ground game, the Bills would be wise to turn to Frank Gore and Devin Singletary against a run defense that surrenders almost 150 yards per game on the ground. Defensively, our podcasters expect to see more from both defensive tackle Ed Oliver, who has been a scapegoat for the defense's woes stopping the run, and cornerback Kevin Johnson, who should spell the struggling Levi Wallace. Host John Boccacino is joined by co-host Jamie D'Amico to recap the Buffalo Bills' disheartening 19-16 loss to the Cleveland Browns. Among the topics discussed: Brian Daboll had a poor day calling plays for the Bills offense; Josh Allen's struggles on the deep ball continued; Devin Singletary's lack of usage was baffling, as was the decision to throw the ball 41 times in a one-score game; outside of the eventual game-winning drive, Buffalo's defense stood on its head; Levi Wallace and Stephen Hauschka each picked a terrible day for their worst performances of the year; and more. CTW: Bills fall short to Browns 19-16 to go 6-3

E

We recap the Buffalo Bills losing to a desperate Cleveland Browns team, 19-16, to go 6-3. What a disappointing game overall. Let's vent and discuss why the Bills lost, who to blame, and why we were justified to be cautious of the Bills being 6-2 last week. What are your thoughts on Brian Daboll's playcalling? Would you have run the ball more against the 30th ranked run defense? What about Stephen Hauschka? Is he still "Hausch Money" and worth that 2 year extension that he just signed? What about Levi Wallace? Should he still be the starter? We also have the John Brown signed jersey giveaway announcement and much more! Billieve: Sizing up the Bills vs. the Browns

Host John Boccacino is joined by co-host Jamie D'Amico to break down Sunday's big game between the Buffalo Bills (6-2) and Cleveland Browns (2-6). Among the topics discussed: this will be the first career showdown between Baker Mayfield and Josh Allen, two of the top 10 quarterbacks from the 2018 NFL Draft. Mayfield is dealing with a sophomore slump season as head coach Freddie Kitchens struggles to show he belongs as an NFL head coach. Mayfield leads the league in interceptions (12) and is prone to making mistakes when dealing with pressure. The Browns also have some vulnerabilities along the offensive line, which makes what running back Nick Chubb has done this year even more impressive. How will the Bills contain Chubb, and what role will Kareem Hunt play in his first game back from suspension? Will Tre'Davious White be able to slow down Odell Beckham Jr., and will the hated Jarvis Landry continue to be held in check by Buffalo's secondary? On the other side of the ball, how does Buffalo slow down and contain talented edge rusher Myles Garrett (are Ty Nsekhe, Cody Ford, and possibly a tight end up to the immense challenge)? A healthy dose of Devin Singletary should once again be in the cards for the offense, while there are opportunities for John Brown and Duke Williams to make plays and challenge a tough Cleveland secondary. Billieve: Buffalo's strengths and weaknesses on display vs. Washington

Host John Boccacino is joined by co-host Jamie D'Amico to dissect the Buffalo Bills' 24-9 win over the Washington Redskins in Week 9. For the first time since the 1993 season, Buffalo has at least six wins in its first nine games. Sunday's win over Washington wasn't pretty, and some of the Bills' greatest vulnerabilities (the run defense and a failure to convert short-yardage situations on offense chief among those concerns) were exposed. Thanks to a career game from rookie Devin Singletary, an efficient performance from Josh Allen, a revitalized pass rush, and an offense that did just enough, the Bills once again found a way to close out a game. Host John Boccacino is joined by co-host Jamie D'Amico to offer up their state of the Buffalo Bills following a thorough 31-13 whupping by the Philadelphia Eagles. Among the topics discussed: what happened to the once-stout Buffalo Bills' run defense, which was gouged for more than 200 yards on the ground by the Eagles, and how worried should fans be after back-to-back sub-par efforts from the defense? The Bills also abandoned the run on a day when the winds were swirling at New Era Field. How much blame should offensive coordinator Brian Daboll shoulder for his suspect play-calling? After getting off to a 5-1 start, expectations were raised for the Bills this year, but should hopes have been this high for Buffalo? And is Tom Brady really going to switch teams? We think so, but not for the reason everyone thinks. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

CTW: Bills Get Run Over by Eagles, 31-13, to go 5-2

E

We recap the Buffalo Bills losing to the Philadelphia Eagles, 31-13, to go 5-2. Was there a facet of the game where the Bills didn't get out-coached or out-played? No, really, I'm asking. What was the turning point of the game? What about Brian Daboll's offense (can we call it quits on the designed Josh Allen runs, please)? Why couldn't the Bills' defense stop the run at all today (218 yards rushing by the Eagles)? We also have the John Brown signed jersey giveaway announcement, what position would you trade for before the Trade Deadline this Tuesday, and much more! And, as always, we discuss our general thoughts on the game, stats of the game, plays of the game (Sweet Sassy Molassy!), who goes on our Wall of Fame and who goes on the Wall of Shame (and turn to Twitter for some great reaction from our followers). Next, the 1-7 Redskins in Buffalo. Go Bills! Billieve: Previewing the Philadelphia Eagles and Week 8

Host John Boccacino is joined by co-host Jamie D'Amico to offer up their thoughts of this Week 8 showdown between playoff hopefuls. Among the topics discussed: The Bills (5-1) have yet to play a complete 60 minutes of football. Is this the week that happens against the Eagles (3-4), who are battling an assortment of injuries? Will Josh Allen continue to be a successful game manager, and can Allen, the league's best passer at throws 19 yards and under, get the deep ball going against a banged-up Eagles secondary? What role will wide receiver Robert Foster play against a suspect Eagles' secondary? Who will step up and replace linebacker Matt Milano if he were to miss another game? How can Buffalo contain the Eagles' dynamic 1-2 tight end combination of Zach Ertz and Dallas Goeddert? Our podcasters expect cornerback Levi Wallace to enjoy a bounce-back performance, and look for Jerry Hughes and Trent Murphy to apply pressure to Carson Wentz and an under-performing Eagles' offensive line. Check out the latest episode of Billieve to find out our podcasters' thoughts on these topics and more! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Mafia Mavens: The girls are grumpy but the Bills are good

What an episode. Robyn and Danyel were a bit grumpy at BIlls fans for bashing Josh Allen over not having a 300-yard game yet. They also explore the mental aspects that they believe are holding Josh back from connecting on the deep ball and discuss what went wrong with the Bills defense on Sunday against the Dolphins.
