What's the perfect remedy for the Buffalo Bills (4-2), who are reeling after a two-game slide? A matchup with the winless New York Jets (0-6). On the latest episode of the Billieve Podcast, hosts John Boccacino and Jamie D’Amico have everything you need to know for the Week 7 matchup. With Tre'Davious White and Cam Lewis listed as questionable, the Bills could be without three cornerbacks vs. the Jets and must find a way to contain wide receiver Jamison Crowder, who always performs well vs. Buffalo. Can Jerry Hughes, Ed Oliver, Mario Addison and the defensive line take advantage of a weak Jets offensive line to create pressure on Sam Darnold/Joe Flacco? On the latest episode of the Billieve Podcast, hosts John Boccacino and Jamie D’Amico (briefly) offer up their thoughts on the Buffalo Bills disappointing loss to the Tennessee Titans, discussing how previous warts for the team were exposed in the prime time loss. The Bills (4-1) don't have to wait long for a shot at redemption, welcoming the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs (4-1) to Western New York for a 5 p.m. showdown on Monday Night Football. This is a show me something kind of game for the Bills, who must address their shortcomings that were on display vs. the Titans, primarily: the lack of a pass rush, the inability to get off the field on third down, the poor play of the right side of the offensive line, the failure to get Devin Singletary and the ground game going, and those pesky, drive-killing penalties. In Patrick Mahomes, the Bills face a daunting task trying to slow down Kansas City's high-flying offense, but both Boccacino and D'Amico expect the Bills to take a page out of the Las Vegas Raiders playbook and drop seven or eight guys into coverage while hoping the front four can generate enough pressure on Mahomes. Otherwise, the secondary, even if Tre'Davious White returns, could be in for a long day. Forcing Mahomes to settle for the short, underneath passes while containing Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce and the deep passing game could be enough to limit the potent Chiefs offense. On the other side of the ball, the Bills need to get the ground game going against a Chiefs team that ranks near the bottom of the league in run defense. With Stefon Diggs, John Brown, Cole Beasley and Gabriel Davis, the Bills wide receivers should have an edge against a suspect Chiefs secondary, and Boccacino and D'Amico both expect to see a huge bounce back game from Josh Allen. The Buffalo Bills (4-0) and Tennessee Titans (3-0) were scheduled to square off Sunday afternoon in Nashville in a Week 5 contest, but the Titans are dealing with a COVID-19 outbreak, and the game has been pushed back to Tuesday evening. On the latest episode of the Billieve Podcast, hosts John Boccacino and Jamie D’Amico discuss the ever-evolving COVID-19 outbreak in Tennessee, as 23 people (10 players) have tested positive since Sept. 24. Following two straight days with zero new positive test results, the Titans returned to their own facility Saturday morning after being prohibited from using their facility since Sept. 29. Boccacino and D'Amico discuss the news of the Titans breaking NFL protocol by holding organized team activities away from team facilities, in direct violation of the league's edict, and whether the Titans should be punished for their actions. The Buffalo Bills (3-0) make their first West Coast trip of the 2020 season on Sunday, traveling to Sin City for a Week 4 showdown vs. the Las Vegas Raiders (2-1). On the latest episode of the Billieve Podcast, hosts John Boccacino and Jamie D’Amico have everything you need to get ready for the Bills first-ever trip to Vegas. After offering up rapid reactions to Buffalo's thrilling 35-32 win over the Los Angeles Rams in Week 3, Boccacino and D'Amico size up the Raiders offense, which relies heavily on talented running back Josh Jacobs. The Bills will have a daunting task trying to slow down Jacobs, especially with the issues Buffalo has had stopping the run this year. Quarterback Derek Carr has one of the quickest releases in the game, tight end Darren Waller is a matchup nightmare, and the onus will be on the defensive linemen, led by Jerry Hughes, Ed Oliver, Mario Addison, Quinton Jefferson, Trent Murphy and Vernon Butler, to apply pressure up the middle. Unlike last week's opponent, the Raiders don't have as strong of an offensive line, which should create opportunities to get pressure on Carr. With a focus on checking down to his receivers, tight ends and running backs, the Bills should look to confuse Carr with coverage zone blitzes while clogging his passing lanes. Offensively, both D'Amico and Boccacino expect reigning AFC Offensive Player of the Month Josh Allen to continue his upward trajectory while leading the Bills high-flying (31 points per game) offense. While much has been made of Stefon Diggs, John Brown and Cole Beasley's contributions to the receiving game, our podcasters expect big performances from rookie Gabriel Davis and tight ends Tyler Kroft and Dawson Knox vs. the Raiders. As good as the passing game has been, Boccacino and D'Amico are looking for a huge game from running back Devin Singletary, who should record his first 100-yard effort this year against a susceptible Raiders' defense. We close by offering up our score predictions as the Bills look to improve to 4-0 for the ninth time in franchise history, and first time since the 2008 season.
