We start the first episode of 2018 with a great discussion about......about, umm.....wha.....? Well we intended to discuss the concept of anti-memes but....hmmm. Anyway, we talk about the universal and cosmological "twin" concept, also called symmetry, and how this concept seems to extend far back into the depths of prehistory by way of a curious twin mythology. Kyle brings up the beneficial mental aspects of turning off the constant input and "unplugging", as it were, in order to process everything that has been learned and also to take some time for some self improvement mind-hacking goodness. We finish this...oddly short episode....with a brief examination of the recently released UFO footage from the Pentagon and then a discussion of the inherently primitive "Lord of the Flies" culture caused by huge public schools. We kinda feel like we forgot something...? But whatever. Enjoy the show.

We start out with the latest news on the ScanPyramids project, which is that there is no news. Then we discuss some crazy geology and paleontology factology because Russ is reading Velikovsky's Earth in Upheaval and it's blowing his mind. We're talking islands made entirely of mammoth bones and hippo teeth and glacial erratics so big people accidentally built villages on them. In the second half of the show we discuss a topic that has become a permanent SnakeBro favorite: weird giant triangles. In this case the giant triangle is the Bermuda Triangle, so we discuss the nature of the disappearances and outline a few specific cases, then go into the many theories about the possible causes, and Kyle demonstrates his skerptard skills by skerpderping them all(after which he announces he might be "going profesh"). One of the theories involves pyramids from Atlantis, still activating on occaision from the ocean depths and disappearing everything in sight. So basically a giant weird triangle caused by giant weird triangles. Plus there's fossil Kracken Plesiosaur Selfies in Australia and a bunch of bad dad jokes.

The Official Show Observer, the honorable and venerated Mr. Brett England, is in studio with us for this episode, here to offer his assessment of the work of Dr. Melba Ketchum and her team in DNA sequencing of possible Sasquatch hair and skin samples. Mr. England has relevant education and thus delivers what is most likely the only competent opinion on this work that has been delivered to the paranormal and podcasting communities(all other opinions having come from know-nothing Skerptards). Aside from that, we discuss the ScanPyramids Project and the possibility of a huge unknown chamber in the GP, Kyle's trip to Italy and the ancient Egyptian artifacts he saw there, and we finish out the show with a few excellent OOPArts.

We start this episode discussing how modern sports teams can generate a sense of community and commonality in their home cities, creating a situation similar to the ancient "city-states" of Sumer, Akkad, Assyria, etc. We briefly discuss the ongoing project to propose methods for encoding our modern civilization's knowledge into oral traditions, complete with an entertaining exoteric theme which conceals esoteric symbolism which encodes the knowledge. For the rest of the show, we talk about NEPHAS. (aka Giants) Because Russ has been reading Jim Vieira's book, Giants on Record. Sometimes, the Giants are real. On this post-eclipse pre-apocalypse episode we start out by speculating that the Solar Eclipse that just passed across the U.S. is the reason for the sudden macrosizing of Hurricane Harvey, which went on to drown large areas of Texas beneath immense floods of water and, for a brief time, turning the area back into something resembling the "late cretaceous inland sea" that supposedly covered the area. So we here at the SnakeBros compound decided it was time to get out the buttflaps and party like it's 70,000,000 B.C. (±1,200,000y adj). We discuss the Foucault Pendulum Anomaly, where pendulums act very strangely beneath full solar eclipses, implying something is very wrong with Standard Model physics and the way it views gravity and mass and the interaction between them. For the last part of the show, we give an overview of the Missing 411 mystery, followed by several actual accounts of the missing persons.

We start the show talking about how, in this day and age, there are actually still people out there who do not spend an appreciable amount of time thinking about Pyramids. I mean, it's 2017! How are there even people out there who don't think about Pyramids?? Can we get with the program here, on the right side of history please?? We explore the strange and interesting Mystery of the Maps; Portolano Projection maps made during the 15th and 16th century that appear to contain information incongruous with the state of cartographic and navigational knowledge and ability at the time. We explain "the problem of Longitude" which wasn't overcome until the late 1800s, yet there exist many 16th and 17th century maps with areas of very precise longitude, better than anything we could do up to as recently as the 1950s. We also outline the work of Dr. Charles Hapgood, who studied many of these maps currently housed in the Congressional Library, who went on to publish a book called "Maps of the Ancient Sea Kings" We also delve into the original Grail legend, wandering the vast and intimidating labyrinth of Grail Lore and esoterica, until eventually we surprise everyone(ourselves included) by emerging into the light on the other side with a possible solution to this age-old mystery.

We start this episode with a recount of a daytrip we took to a nearby extinct volcano that we totally did not know was there even though we've lived here for decades. Usually volcanoes are pretty noticable because mountain, but this volcano is eroded flat, nothing but a small knob of igneous material remains where the volcano once stood. Still, we were excited to see it and do some geololololology. Turns out it is entirely on private property. So we still haven't seen it. Instead, we went to McKinney Falls nearby, where we discovered an ancient dry-laid stone wall that bisected the park going directly east-west, atop a massive tounge of catastrophically deposited limestone(that in turn rested atop igneous materials, probably deposited by eruptions of the elusive mountainless volcano). Plus, evidence of massive flooding, giant oyster fossils, and creature shadows trapped in clay. Then we got eaten by fish and started a microcult. First up in this episode are excerpts from another Fortean Times article, this one details a whole list of event types that most people consider to be extraordinary, but in fact these happen nearly every day. After that we touch on the topic of the Information Universe, then slide seamlessly into a discussion on dreams, where we ponder the question of why we can't use our smartphones in our dreams so we can Google how to do stuff like lucid dreaming, because for some reason the dream realm does not seem to have things like smartphones and computers. Sleep paralysis also comes up. Finally, we completely fail to bring closure to any of those topics by spending the last segment talking about Easter Island.

We have our first guest on the show, Ethan Hack, who sat in the studio with us and argued with everything we said and basically told us we're dumb. Generally this is an assessment we agree with, but we proved him wrong anyway, just to be nice. Other than that, we discuss an interesting document from the official CIA website, a whole list of odd events from the last hundred years taken from an article posted in the Fortean Times, stopping lasers with your mind, and how to become the Most Badass Martial Artist Ever. Also, Mormons and metal books and truths hidden in lies.

In this episode we discuss the origin of the name of the podcast and how we both became interested in these topics. Then we talk ancient lost cities, Mormons, Nephas and Babel. Also, we take our very first caller/complaint who calls to bitch about Kyle not knowing who wrote Star Wars. We end the show with some more accounts of out of place artifacts and places allegedly found within the United States.

In episode five we outline the "Because Pyramids" hypothesis, which, in brief, posits that all of western civilization exists because around 6,000 years ago some dudes in buttflaps found giant stone triangles in the desert. Keeping with the subject of ancient Egypt, we talk about the Book of the Dead and how the Egyptians seemed to have made a science out of investigating the afterlife, building a picture of the various trials and tests a human soul must face and pass after death in order to achieve ascension to the stars. Because of the 2-D nature of Egyptian illustration, Russ associates the depictions in the Book of the Dead with oldschool 2d "platform jumper" videogames, which totally ruins the whole "spiritual enlightenment" thing. We also touch on the extraordinary nature of the so-called "air shafts" in the Great Pyramid, and specifically the "Queen's Chamber" shafts and the "door" discovered by Gantenbrink, which Zahi Hawass penetrated on live TV ten years later, and the strange, faint marks on the floor of the shaft beyond the door. We start this episode with a rant about "daylight savings time" which everyone seems to hate and yet gets passed through every sitting congress, and possibly how the purpose of such a detestable rule is to disconnect us from the cosmos so we can't do magic. (hey, it's possible) We introduce more of our patented SnakeBros terminology, such as "Longhead"(hominid with an elongated cranium), "Nephas" (a less formal version of the word Nephilim, as in "Whassup mah Nepha"). We talk about reports of tombs full of loot, but with the primary corpse missing(looters took the corpse and left all the loot??)
