In this inspiring episode, Matthew shares how faith, humility, self-awareness, and everyday struggles shape true spiritual growth beyond perfectionism and performance. His perspective invites listeners to embrace healing, grace, and genuine transformation as the foundation of a real and lasting Christian life.
Matthew JandernoaI help Christians become more human so they can become real saintsI grew up raised Catholic with parents who both worked for the Church. I wanted to rebel against the Church, but kept finding myself coming back because it just made sense. Over time, I realized that my rebelliousness could be a source of strength and not a constant thorn in my side.I always struggled to work for others, so long story short, I started my own business at 25 shortly after my first child was born with only half a website and no leads because I believed Jesus was calling me to. Now, I have another coach and two partnerships that have generated clients and a vision to grow even more. We help people to grow in virtue in light of their personality, families to communicate and understand each other better, and missionaries keep the fire alive after their time as a volunteer missionary. Most of it comes down to understanding how each person handles expectations so they can know their champion virtue and live as they were uniquely made to live by their Creator.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Book 101 Review, now in its fifth season, features Don Britton—77 years old, a dedicated businessman, a loving husband, a proud father, and a devoted grandfather—as my guest. In this inspiring episode, Don reflects on a lifetime of wisdom shaped by family, hard work, and perseverance. His insights offer listeners a profound look at legacy, leadership, and the values that carry us through every chapter of life.
Don BrittonThe Great Deception of American Christianity" is all about the corrupt American Church today teaching a modern gospel that misleads people by giving them a false sense of security about salvation.I was a worldly, lost, immoral man until I surrendered my life the Jesus in the privacy of my home in 1979 when I was 31 years old. Before that I had little knowledge or experience with the church world. After turning to the Lord I started going to church with a businessman who had shared the gospel with me. It was a full gospel church and was confusing to me so after several months I took my family to a Southern Baptist church. There I was told that I could still commit adultery like I used to and still go to heaven. I also realized that a lot of people in the church were living in sin. So after about a year I moved my family to Charismatic church. There we encountered more confusion as well as hearing so-called prophets whose words did not come true. We visited the Presbyterian church, went to tent meetings, visited the Church of Christ, and took a bible course at Kay Author's Reach Out Ranch. We also spent some time in a Pentecostal church with no better results. We went to special meetings here and there and even visited a home church. People gave us tapes on the prosperity gospel and books on salvation. The more we heard the more we were confused as to how all this could be Christian with so many different doctrines and traditions. So, in 1983 I bought a NASB bible, a concordance, a Greek dictionary, a Hebrew dictionary and an English dictionary. Then I quit church, brought my family home and began to spend all day on Sundays studying the scriptures to get clarity on the truth. Then after I studied a certain topic, I would meet with my family on Sunday evening and teach them what I was learning. I soon discovered that almost everything I had been taught by the church world was either false or only half true which makes it false. From there other people wanted to come and hear what I was learning, so we now had a home church. Later I was invited to speak at a Bible conference in Texas and then begin to travel and speak in different parts of the country on exposing the falsehoods of the church and teaching the truth about salvation. In 2015, I sold my auto repair business (of 43 years) and my used car dealership and started an accounting and tax service in my home. I continue to teach and serve a small body of believers and now do podcasts and YouTube videos to try and reach people with the truth. Thank you for considering me as a guest on your podcast. Book 101 Review, now in its fifth season, features Anne Angelo Webb—author and animal communication expert—sharing her unique insights into the powerful bonds between humans and animals and the stories that shape her work.
Anne Angelo WebbAuthor & Animal Communication Expert | 20+ yrs | Animal Massage & Acupressure Certified | LCSW | Hypnosis Practitioner | Host of The Animal Intuitive | Helping People Understand Pets & ThemselvesI’m not your typical animal communicator — and that’s exactly why your audience will pay attention. From a young age, I’ve sensed the world — and animals — in ways that most people don’t. I used to think something was “off” with me, but it turns out it’s part of how I’m wired. That sensitivity became a strength — allowing me to deeply connect with animals and help others do the same. Today, I bring that intuitive awareness together with grounded training as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and years working with trauma survivors, foster youth, and even offenders.I eventually stepped away from the clinical world — including a stint at UnitedHealthCare — after facing the secondary trauma that so many therapists quietly carry. But instead of leaving healing behind, I shifted into a new way of serving: helping people reconnect with animals, their own intuition, and the deep emotional truths those relationships uncover. My work has also led me into some unexpected intersections — like navigating my Christian faith while being someone with intuitive gifts. I know firsthand how it feels to wrestle with the question, “Is this okay?” That inner conflict is more common than people think, and it’s something I speak to openly and compassionately. Whether your audience is deeply spiritual, skeptical, or somewhere in between, I offer a bridge — not a division.I also use my platforms to highlight scientific research around the efficacy of animal communication, acupressure, and energy-based modalities. And when it comes to grief and pet loss, I’ve shared tools — both practical and spiritual — for navigating one of the most underestimated forms of heartbreak. If your show is looking for a guest who blends heart, humor, science, and soul — and who can articulate complex emotional topics in a way that makes people feel both understood and empowered — I’d love to bring this conversation to your audience.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Nicole DonnellySparking Transformation with Story & Strategy | Keynote Speaker | Hello Moxie Founder | Moxie Method™ Creator | eCommerce & Marketing LeaderWhen I was 25 years old, I had the job opportunity of my dreams. Working for a woman-owned small business. I remember walking in the room to be interviewed. And there, waiting for me were three stunningly beautiful, accomplished and powerful women. The CEO, the COO and the CFO of the company. I remember walking out of that interview and I knew an opportunity like this was rare. I wanted that job so bad. And I got it! For years I worked for these three incredible female mentors who helped me get to where I am today. And then I moved into the manufacturing and eCommerce industries and felt the lack of female leadership immediately. I was constantly having to prove and persuade and frequently felt isolated. After launching and growing a digital marketing agency 4x in four years in the manufacturing and eCommerce industry I reached burnout. So I started Hello Moxie to empower women in underrepresented industries to develop self trust, speak with confidence, step into fear and build their legacy on their terms. Book 101 Review, now in its fifth season, features Damian Bloss—an inspiring advocate for mental health awareness and addiction recovery—as my guest.
Damian BlossBreaking the silence. My journey from addiction to healingI was in active addiction for 20 years. I didn’t have what society would deem the makeup of having substance abuse issues (i.e. I didn’t look like it, I didn’t lose anything, my family history didn’t consist of substance abuse, etc.) until I lost what is most important…. I lost myself. My self destruction started with the loss of a close family member who died by suicide and I’m the only one who knew he had this thought. I carried that guilt for 20 years suppressing it with alcohol until I had to do something about it. I have been sober since February 13, 2020, and dedicated to inspiring others on their journey to recovery. I am the author of two powerful books, “Breaking the Silence: My Journey from Addiction to Healing” (published April 2024) and “Recovering Out Loud” (due out in Spring of 2026) sharing my personal story of transformation and hope.Beyond writing, I have partnered with my local detention center to mentor inmates facing substance abuse–related charges, and regularly speak at rehab centers, helping others see that recovery is possible. I also lead Breaking the Silence, a mental health and addiction support group that fosters open conversations and community healing. My mission is to show that when we break the silence around addiction, we open the door to healing and change..See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Book 101 Review, now in its fifth season, features Hannah Rose—CBS Survivor alum and therapist turned CEO—bringing her unique blend of resilience, insight, and leadership to an inspiring conversation.
Hannah RoseCBS Survivor alum & therapist turned CEO helping clinicians prioritize alignment and abundance over scarcity and burnoutI’m Hannah Rose, LCPC, a therapist, consultant, and founder of Rose Wellness Counseling and The Thriving Practice Academy. After years of watching therapists burn out while trying to help others heal, and experiencing it myself, I decided to change the way we approach business in mental health. When I appeared on CBS’s Survivor, my decision to quit the show sparked a nationwide conversation and became one of the most defining experiences of my life. It taught me that authenticity matters more than approval, even when the world is watching, and revealed how deeply unhealthy and shame-driven our culture’s response to “quitters” can be. That experience solidified my mission to help therapists, entrepreneurs, and purpose-driven professionals create sustainable success rooted in alignment rather than exhaustion.I’m also 14 years sober, a milestone that continues to shape my work, my leadership, and my belief that growth and healing are lifelong processes.Through my Academy and consulting work, I teach therapists how to build practices that support both their clients and themselves. I bring honesty, warmth, and real-world experience to every interview, sharing insights about resilience, imposter syndrome, shame, boundaries, burnout, and redefining success in a helping profession that often forgets to help its own.If your audience cares about authenticity, leadership, personal growth, or running a values-centered business, they’ll leave our conversation with tangible tools and a renewed sense of clarity and courage.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

He draws out not just their strategies, but the mindsets and values that carried them through setbacks, uncertainty, and success.Together with his wife, Olympic-level mental performance coach Steffany Hanlen-Francey, Patrick co-founded MindShui™, a movement he calls “Feng Shui for the Mind.” The MindShui Way clears the mental clutter that keeps high-achievers stuck—hidden beliefs, outdated identities, and unaligned values—so they can accelerate clarity, execution, and purpose across all areas of life.Patrick’s approach bridges macro-economics, entrepreneurship, and human performance. He translates complex real estate and market cycles into actionable strategies for investors, while also coaching leaders to navigate uncertainty, overcome identity traps, and design lives grounded in Health, Freedom, and Purpose. At the heart of his philosophy is a belief he repeats often:“High performance is a result of low tolerances.”See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Book 101 Review, in its fifth season, features Jason Morris—acclaimed horror film director, producer, festival organizer, and distributor—sharing his creative journey and chilling storytelling craft.
Horror Film Director: Jason D. MorrisI’m Jason D. Morris, an independent filmmaker dedicated to exploring the strange, the unsettling, and the unexpectedly funny corners of cinema. My work sits at the crossroads of horror, comedy, and genre storytelling, with a focus on creating films that feel fresh and surprising while staying true to the DIY spirit of independent filmmaking. My latest feature, The Space Rodent, is a horror-comedy made on a shoestring budget that has already made waves on the festival circuit, picking up awards and building buzz. It’s now being released by SRS Cinema on Blu-ray, complete with exclusive bonus features and a free collectible poster for pre-orders. This project represents everything I love about micro-budget filmmaking: creative problem-solving, bold genre mashups, and a collaborative set environment where laughter is as essential as scares. But my story as a filmmaker didn’t begin here—it stretches back to some of the earliest experiments in web content.Breaking Ground with One of the First Web SeriesIn 2004, long before YouTube became the cultural force it is today, I created Millennium Apocalypse, one of the first-ever web series. At the time, streaming wasn’t common, and the concept of a serialized online show was still experimental. That project taught me the value of risk-taking, innovation, and perseverance. It also planted the seed for my lifelong commitment to pushing boundaries within storytelling. From $200,000 Budgets to Gas Money and FoodOver the years, I’ve worked on projects across the financial spectrum—from productions with budgets upwards of $200,000 to films made with little more than gas money and meals for the crew. That range of experience has given me a unique perspective on how resources impact creativity, and why limitations often spark the most innovative solutions.Working at both extremes has taught me that money can buy polish, but it can’t buy passion. Some of my favorite projects were born in the trenches of micro-budget filmmaking, where everyone involved is there because they truly believe in the story being told.Wearing Many Hats: Director, Producer, Festival Organizer, DistributorSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Magic BarclayHealth is the fuel for creating a magical life. Join me in this amazing podcast community https://podmatch.com/signup/podmatchamagicallife never truly felt well. After surviving a rough childhood, torn between a narcissist of a father and an unfeeling and emotionally neglectful mother, I learnt that I was the only one I could depend on. I always felt like 'the black sheep' and found it hard to trust anyone. In my teens, my lack of control in my life led to anorexia and binge eating disorders. My weight was about all I could truly take charge of. By the age of 17, I had also become a binge drinker- leading to becoming an alcoholic by age 21.After transferring this lack of self relationship to relationships with others, I found myself at the end of a string of emotionally vacuous and harmful relationships- culminating in a marriage to a narcissist (don't all girls end up marrying a version of their father?). Those self esteem issues came back and again via my weight- I protected myself by becoming morbidly obese. That was the only way my body could physically be off limits to an abusive husband (or so I thought). After 14 years of being told I was ugly, worth nothing, a horrible mother and much more- I left! I packed the kids, dogs and cats into the car, loaded a truck and fled town. The next 4 years saw a drawn out legal battle which saw me lose everything except my babies. I had to start again but the toll of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and Adverse Childhood Relationship Experiences (ACREs) and my adult relationship disasters (including the one with myself), years of stress and physical trauma to my body culminated in multiple conditions that threatened to end my life.I threw myself into study, learning about the systems of he body and how they each worked in harmony with each other, I sought help with my trauma and became truly well, truly loved (by myself and my kids).I continued my study after becoming well and even though other conditions formed from medical negligence (before I was the master of my own health). I continued to become stronger, more able to handle anything in life and free from the past both physically and emotionally. Now I am an instructor of PNEI of Trauma, the lead practitioner at Wholistic Natural Health Australia and the host of my own podcast.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Book 101 Review, in its fifth season, features Ara Trembly a licensed counsellor and practicing psychotherapist as my guest.
Dreaming God's WayHumans have been fascinated by dreams and their meanings since the beginning of recorded consciousness. Poets, philosophers, mystics, and psychologists have explored the dream world with intense interest. The Bible itself is filled with vivid dreams that are personally and historically significant and through which God speaks to humans and even nations. In the Jewish tradition, the Talmud views dreaming as a means by which God communicates with the soul and dream interpretation as a valuable spiritual activity. Yet the subject of dreams is almost entirely absent in today's Christian psychology textbooks or counseling offices. As a practicing psychotherapist, Trembly reclaims the dream world as a gift from God and asserts: "The Lord of our conscious life is also the Lord of our unconscious life." He uses examples from the Scriptures and from his clinical practice to illustrate different types of dreams, ranging from playful to prophetic to precognitive. He then provides a practical, step-by-step guide to interpreting dreams so that these messages from the unconscious mind may be an avenue for greater self-knowledge and for encounters with God, who created us.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Book 101 Review, in its fifth season, features Matthew Strunk a serial entrepreneur with multiple business exits and the founder of illumiShift as my guest.
Matthew StrunkBuilt and sold companies, yet still felt lost after doing everything “right.” Now I guide people to The Hidden Path™, freedom and purpose on their own terms.I’ve built and sold multiple companies, including a digital marketing agency and a SaaS platform, but what I discovered after those exits is what makes my story valuable for your audience: success alone doesn’t guarantee fulfillment.Like so many entrepreneurs and professionals, I did everything “right.” I built the businesses, hit the milestones, made the money: only to realize I felt stuck, bored, and disconnected. That experience taught me the dirty secret most people don’t talk about: the game of success, as the world defines it, can actually trap you.Today, I’m the founder of illumiShift, where I guide people through The Hidden Path™, a structured system to help them detox from noise, uncover their truth, and realign life on their own terms. Along the way, I share signature concepts like The Purpose Paradox (why chasing success without purpose leads to emptiness) and Fear as Fuel (how to transform fear into momentum). For your audience, this conversation isn’t just about my story, it’s about their story:- Why “having it all” often still feels empty.- How to recognize if they’re chasing society’s version of success instead of their own.- Practical tools for cutting through the noise and getting clarity on what actually matters.- How to break free from burnout, boredom, and finally start getting real traction in life.Want to be a guest on Book 101 Review? Book 101 Review, in its fifth season, features George Sirois a Podcaster, Audiobook Narrator and Author as my guest.
George SiroisLet Author / Podcaster / Audiobook Narrator George Sirois Tell You a StoryMy experience as a storyteller goes back to childhood, when I recorded my first “audiobook” when I was 6, which was basically me reading a storybook to my cousin who was recovering from cancer surgery. I’m 4th grade, I started creating characters with my friends to pass the time between assignments and those characters led to the ones that are in my current young adult / science-fiction novels. After being a part of a roundtable podcast with other authors, I was inspired to start my own in 2018, and that show is still going strong today. And in 2023, I directed an audio dramatization of one of my own books, working with over 20 talented actors all around the world. Want to be a guest on Book 101 Review? Right Where They Belong: Sutton Series Book 1Marcus Hunter is perfectly content living the small town life, except for the fact that he’s never been able to find the right woman to do it with.
