Natalie Ohayon has such a passion and gift for teaching young dancers, and hearing her stories about opening her studio back up after months of quarantine was so moving. At age 16 she ran her own dance school before moving to Paris to pursue her lifelong dream with very quirky stories of her experience in that world. Now full circle, she is teaching dance and inspiring young dancers.

Leslie Bandy is our guest. Leslie tells her story of being trained by the Royal Ballet Academy but was too tall to a professional ballerina, and how she later became a ballet principal with several Bluebell shows. Leslie still continues to create beautiful works of dance art

Christopher Renfurm joins us today to share his story of being the only boy in ballet classes as a child and almost always the only black dancer in any dance class until he moved to New York to train at Alvin Ailey School where he was able to dance and train with dancers of color from around the world. Christopher is currently in Paris Mervielles at the Lido de Paris. His vision for creating more opportunities for dancers of color as well as expanding theater goers perception of beauty in diversity is so encouraging.
