Hello and welcome to the penultimate episode of Crimes Around the World and this week we are in the USA.
One July morning in 1997 the world awoke to the shocking news that fashion designer, Gianni Versace had been murdered on the steps of his Miami beach house. As the details of the crime emerged it would transpire that Versace had been victim number 5 in a killing spree by a man wanted by the FBI called Andrew Cunanan. Andrew Cunanan had had an obsession with the fashion guru which culminated in him shooting Versace to death following the cold blooded murders of former lovers and friends of his.
