How did I become a baker/pasty chef at a cafe without any formal training? Great question! I guess it's in my blood- the skills AND the sugar. :) I have a big sweet tooth and baking is my way of satisfying those cravings and treating others along the way!

A true friend supports your growth, respects your boundaries, shows up (emotionally and physically), celebrates your wins without competition, and accepts you even when you're not the best. I struggle with friendships, whether it be communicating or trying to get out of something because I actually just don't want to go but don't want to upset anyone. You know... the usual stuff. But we all have these challenges in our relationships, whether meeting new people or keeping up contact with current relationships. Any advice??

During Peace Corps, there were a few strikes, huelgas in Spanish, that occurred. All types of people went on strike for all types of reasons, and when the people spoke, the lawmakers listened. Change would happen. But this is a story about how one strike caused a 9 hour bus stop.

I listened to the audiobook of The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson and it felt like a friend was giving me life advice that I actually wanted. Someone to tell me to live life for me and choose happiness but know it's not always easy. I highly recommend this book if you're looking for a raw self-help book that empowers you to truly live. 10/10
