Happy 2024! Bill, Dan and Kevin are back after the holidays. Bill asks if anyone on the pod has "resolutions" or goals they are setting for 2024. Kevin is the same different year, Dan has goals, and Bill is building an Empire. Bill had the most exciting New Year of anyone on the pod and tells a story of meeting Kevin Foody out and the bizzare scenario that unfolded in front of Bill that sounds made up! Greg Connors joins to talk about the Bills squeeking out a win over the New England Patriots on New Year's Eve and how next week's game is the possibly the biggest in the hostory of the Buffalo Bills. If the Bills beat the Miami Dolphins next Sunday Night they will win the AFC East, and the 2nd seed in the AFC securing a home game in the playoffs. However, if the Bills lose they probably will not make the playoffs. Bill received another anonymous letter at his home and says while flattering the letters are unsettling. There was a horrific car accident resulting in two people's death and others with life threatening injuries after a New Year's Eve concert at the Kodak Center in Rochester. The FBI is investigating because one of the cars appears to have had several gasoline canisters in it that may have led to the car catching on fire and exploding. Many people set goals to get healthy at the begining of a New Year, Bill tells the story of Angus Barbieri a man from Scotland who weighed over 456 pounds and lost 276 pounds by fasting for 382 days! The fast was under docotor supervision and is an interesting story. Dan may need blue blockers for his new 75 inch TV! I am Zeiring of 90210 and Sharknado fame got into a fight with a "bike gang" on the streets of LA. Bill is confused on what a "bike gang" is in LA, he thinks the bikes look like they should be ridden by Bears in a circus and Dan admits his sideburns are still influenced by 90210. Bill and Dan open up asking for help picking the winners of the Woodcliff Hotel and Spa gift cards. Bill plays all the calls and gets more cofused as to who should be a winner. Dan will not buy gift cards at brick and mortar stores because of scams where the code is copied and once the card is activated the thief is notified and uses the card before the recipient has a chance! Artificial Intellegence that can perdict when you will die is being tested in Europe. RIght now it is 78% accuracy. Would you want to know when you are going to die? What would you change if you knew? Bill wants to know why not change things now and live they way we all should? Bill takes a phone call and instantly regrets it, lol! Do people act differently when on an Adults only cruise? Because there are lots of reports of swingers. Bill asks if you were never going to see these people again would you consider swinging? You can imagine Dan's response! An Alabama football player has been arrested for knowingly infecting a person with an STD! Bill looks into New York States laws on this and the laws exist and maybe should have harsher consequences. It is "divorce season" Bill and Dan talk about being a older single guy and how that can be hard. Bill says it is a good time to spend with and on yourself, figure you out. Bill asked on facebook if $51,000.00 appeared in your bank account out of the oblivion, what would you do? He reads a number of responses to the question from Facebook and then says it happened in our area. This person used the money to pay back rent, get caught up on child support and buy a Harley!! Then was arrested, because even though it was a bank error that the money was put in his account, he should not have spent it! Bill asks if the guys think we are tested in life? Dan thinks so and thinks God tests us and we have to rise to the challenge, Bill does not agree. Hear calls from people trying to win a $100 gift card to the Spa at the Woodcliff, which prompts Danny to tell a legendary Silver Creek story! Bill and Kevin are joined by Matt, Mark and Laura. Bill and Matt were both at the Bills Dallas game cheering for different teams, Bill the Bills and Matt the Dallas Cowboys. The guys talk about the atmposphere at the stadium, interaction among fans and what is missed because you can't see the game as well as you can on TV. Bill said he missed the Stefon Diggs fumble and Matt said the reason Dallas did not challenge the call of incomplete pass was because there was a glitch in the stadium replay system, making replay impossible. That does not sit well with Dallas fans and it shouldn't! Bill brings up the conversation from last week with independant journalist Tyler Dunne who wrote an article saying that Bills Head Coach Sean McDermott can not get the team any further and is now the problem. Mark took issue with some of what he heard about the article and Bill explains why the article needs to be read in full context, not in the snippets other media published of the article. Nicole Morril is the mother of a 13 year old daughter who is a student in the Webster school district. Nicole says her daughter was recently by a transgender student and the transgender student's mother. Bill and the crew listen to the whole story, but feel there are parts missing. This is an interesting conversation that everyone will have an opinion on. Bill plays a clip of comedian Andrew Shulz that is gettin a lot of attention and upsetting some. Laura talks about the pictures she receives from guys and then shows Mark some of these pictures and he breaks down and rates the picture and yes, it is that kind of picture. Bill opens talking about the local news that was breaking as they opened the pod. Mathew Grant a Rochester Institute of Technology Student had been missing since November 20th has been found safe and reunited with his family. Since the pod recording it is being reported that Mathew walked into a Palmerton Pennsylvania Police Department and said there may be a missing person’s report for him. There was, as his parents had driven from his home in Michigan to search for him, multiple police agencies involved, but Mathew seemed to do the impossible in 2023 and vanished! He may have been hiking the Appalachian trail, all this information has come out since the recording of the pod. Bill says if Mathew were his son he would want to hug him then choke him and hug him again, then choke him again! The family is staying tight lipped at the moment, but he missed Thanksgiving and aged his family with worry! Bill believes that if you do something stupid, like ignore signs warning you to stay out of places and then need to be rescued, you should pay the first res-ponders bill and Mathew should do the same as well as pay the psychiatric bill for his parents! Tyler Dunne of Go Long TD dot com joins to talk about his three part article that focused on the Buffalo Bills Head Coach Sean McDermott saying Sean is the reason for the Bills not getting over the “hump” with all their talent. The article garnered a lot of attention nationally last week for reporting on speech McDermott gave the team 4 years ago. This is a very insightful conversation that puts a very different perspective on the article and may have you thinking differently, the operative word is may. Bill did a one on one with former radio buddy turned restaurant entrepreneur Charlie Fitzsimmons who has built an amazing restaurant portfolio that is still growing! Their conversation will drop Christmas week, but Bill plays a piece because they discuss a popular radio personality who died over 20 years ago believed to have been murdered, but Bill has a slightly different theory. Dan has upset Kevin. Why Kevin is not on this episode is a bit of a mystery, but Dan explains the situation and tries to apologize over the phone, to no avail. Bill complains about a car blasting music through a tiny sounding speaker on the roof of their car and says he also could never live next to someone who OVER decorates for Christmas. He tells about a private home near where he grew up that has over 700,000 lights and how neighbors have tried to prevent it! Bill, Dan and Doug sit down in dollar store Christmas costumes that Doug brought in to Christmas things up a bit! Bill asks Doug about the feed back he received from the five shows he did last weekend at the comedy club and it was all postive, no surprise there. Bill continues to say Doug lives in a kids fort and even brings up that Doug's Dad asks Doug if he cleans the place up before he brings a woman over. Doug says no, if he gets them home game on! Bill says people can still change their mind and asks if anyone has gone home with someone but left becuase they were grossed about how they lived and EVERYONE has a story! Bill tells three local stories of women being arrested for attacking their man or ex man, with screw drivers, another with a bottle of A1 sauce and another with a knife! Bill things that a tech mogule in California was inspired by 50 Shades of Grey and had a his female personal assistant sign a 9 page contract to be his sex slave. As you can imagine he has lost his job as CEO of a billion dollar company and the case of the contract and sex acts is being heard in court. Bill asks if anyone sees very "vanilla" looking people and wonder what are they really into? Danny said that he was shocked when he learned a friend of his was a swinger! The guys debate if couples who swing can really last, the moral dilemma that may arise and how religion has been weaponized and pushed certain sexual behaviors underground. Bill opens with Matt Resi a Cowboys Fan, Mark Hillman a Bills fan and Kevin a Patriots fan about the ending of the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills game. Kansas City's quarterback Patrick Mahomes was incensed that one of his teammates lined up in the Neuwtral Zone, thus negating one of the most spectacular scoring plays in NFL history, but there are rules and Kadarius Toney of the Chiefs broke one. Bill said that the way Patrick Mahomes and Head Coach Andy Reid handled the situation was beneath them, they are better than that. Bill said during the Patriotss Dynasty they were hated, during the Cowboys Dynasty they were hated, but during the Chiefs run at the top they have been likeable until, now! Bills and Dallas meet next week! Bill mentions that a friend and former head of Chase Pitkin, Mike Wallace, passed away. Bill says when you hear something like this many people say you have to live your life to the fullest,which is easier said than done. Matt lost his wife when she was in her late 20's and Bill asks if it changed how he lives, Matt said it has expecially when it come to trying to do more things. That leads to a discussion about Matt's attraction to "crazy" women, he shares a story that while a bit unhinged is Matt's fault. Bill talks about things he used to do on the radio that did not go over well in his personal life. Bill plays his favorite Christmas song by Linda Bennett and called Daddy's Home and Mark says he has one that is worse, you decide! Bill tells about an article he read about apps and websites that use artificial intelligence to undress women in photos and how popular these apps and sites are getting! Some fear this will lead to non consenual pornography being devloped and distributed because of advances in artificial intelligence. Bill finds some of the apps and apps that act as a virtual girlfriend! A round of Closest to the Pin and there is a surprise winner. Kevin brings up prostate milking to see if Mark or Matt have had that done, Matt is going to Buffalo next weekend to see them play his favorite team the Dallas Cowboys and he is going with all his kids! Bill, Dan, Kevin, Greg Connors and his Mom in Greg's man cave after the Bills beat the Chiefs 20-17. The guys say there is little more intense than watching a game with greg Connors. Greg's wi-fi froze right at the very end of the game and all 5 TV's went down! No one knew what happened on the final play for about 5 minutes. Bill brings up the Tyler Dunne's article that came out last week and appeared to be a hit piece on the Bill's Head Coach Sean McDermott. Greg shares his opinon on Dunne's article and why part of the article bother him. Bill said the article gave Saturday Night Live fodder and plays a clip from the Weekend Update segement. Bill also taped Greg during the game and you can hear the intenisity when it is played back! Greg's mother reminds him sometimes less is more when talking! Bill and Kevin went to see Billified Buddy Comedian Doug Phelps perform at Comedy at the Carlson and then Bill eneded up on the westside, where he dropped his bank card on a bar rrom floor, but the bartender found it and all is well. Bill ubered back to the east side and was hurting a bit today. Bill calls his mother to wish her well on her hip surgery and Greg's mom who has had the surgery tells her it will be great. Bill opens saying he doesn't like seeing people wearing pajamas in public, at least throw on sweat pants! Dan believes it's because many people work from home and no longer dress well for work. Bill then says he doesn't get wearing Santa caps, expecially as an adult with no kids around. Is Bill the Grinch? Maybe becuase he asks other than Friday what weekday do you feel like you need a drink the most? The answer logically should be Monday for most people, but the pod says Thursday. Tyler Dunne wrote a three part article, 20,000 words, about the Bills Head Coach Sean McDermott being the problem the Bills need to overcome. Dunne writes about McDermott's blame game, never taking responsobility, and terrible analogies, including Septeber 11th, in speeches meant to motivate the team. This article has had such an impact the Sean McDermott made a public aplogie for referencing September 11th, Bill plays the audio of McDermott's apology and questions he dealt with after the apology from reporters. Kevin lined up another Mystery Guest and this blast from Bill's radio past provided great content! Bill read an article on Ask Men about the male g spot, that most men never want touched, but those that do say they see GOD! Bill says that if you have no friction in life you can't move, embrace the resistance and move forward. Bill opens talking about the passing of a friend who called Bill before he passed saying he was in the hospital and he wanted to see Bill, but it did not happen. There were circumstances as to why it did not happen, but Bill feels like at this point that is just an excuse. Norman Lear passed away at 101 he created, wrote and produced some of the most ionic shows in television history from All in the Family to Different Strokes. Bill plays a clip of Lear discussing his Mother and it is a bit surprising. Bill has an idea he'd like to bring to TV, Fart Court, where a clip of someone appearing to fart and a panel decides if it is indeed a fart or not. Bill plays a clip of reporters asking The Lightening's Goalie questions ater a game and something happens and a clip of John Kerry at a Climate Summit apearing to release methane, but you decide in Fart Court! Bill explainsis Holiday Light Theory -, will you agree? There is a new Tik Tok trend the "Name One Woman Challenge" which is sure to start a few ights. Bill ask when has your significant other set you up for a fight? Dan has several stories!!! Taylor Swift is Time's Person of the Year, Bill and Dan discuss why this is a solid choice. Is sports gambling hurting society? There are stats that idicate it is, but not in ways you may think. Dan breaks donw the Buffalo Bills Von Miller press conference and how it was very perdictable. Teachers are leaving a record numbers according to a New York Post article because of the level of violence in the class room and lack of consequneces. Bill is with Comedian Doug Phelps and Foody on this episode! Foody is the leader of the Billified Football Pics contest! Foody told bill that Shorts Bar and Grill in Fairport made to TMZ for a fight inside the bar, that did not appear all that outraeous. However, it is an older gentlemen who ends up on the ground being elbowed in the head and repatedly punched by security while on the ground. Doug is at Comedy at the Carlson this Thursday, Friday and Saturday andhe has been practicing, which Bill enjoys mocking! Bill tells Doug and Foody about a new dating term GOlden Retreiver Man and it is not what you think! Bill has a different name for this kind of man! Doug is a 49ers fan, Foody a Cowboys fan, Foody admits to rooting for the 49ers over the Eagles, which only makes sense for NFC East teams. Bill points out that Doug and Chimpanzees have a hobby in common, painting. Bill thinks there is a Chimpanzee Sanctuary on the Canandaiguia area because people get them as pets, but when the Chimp gets older it is hard to control and owners bring them there to live out their days. THis reminds Bill of the horrific 911 call where a woman's Chimpanzee attacks her friend, the call is played and reverence goes out the window! Foody went to the Sphere in Veags to see U2 and got a way better deal than the guy sitting next to him! He loved and said itis the best venue he has ever been in! Bill talks about people dressing up as the Grinch busting in and stealing presents as the kids scream and cry, which is bad, but is the Grinch based on a German Charachter who has been doing this every December 5th for centuries?! Bill talks about a Taco Bell franchises holiday party that ended up with people fired, people threatend and a law suit! Bill says he is a hero for not having the maintenance crew where he lives deal with his horrificly clogged toilet and Doug is disgusted! Bill, Kevin, Matt and Mark are part of this episode. A listener sent a package to the pod and Bill thought it would be fun to have Mark "unbox" it. Mark is very hesitant and googles the return address which happens to be a strip club in Syracuse. Mark opens the package shocked to find a small pillow with his face on a barely dressed Santa body! Bill claims he had no idea what was in the package. There has been tragedy in some local buisness parking lots with a customer being hit by a car in the parking lot by accident and dying a day later from the injuries. Matt talks about the dangers he sees with careless drivers in parking lots all the time. The conversation moves to football and since Matt is a Cowboys fan his thoughts on next week's Cowboys/Eagles game as well as the Bills/ Chiefs game next week. Bill wonders if the Cowboys are no longer "America's team" and have the been replaced by the Lions! Everyone seems to be a Lions fan these days! Mark was upset on the pod last week and blames Kevin for getting Bill to pick on him. Bill is confused and tries to sort out the mess. Mark does admit he was fighting on text at the same time. Mark talks about being upset with his girlfriend who recenlty got out of the hospital for getting drunk at a holiday party, the fact she is a few years older than Mark adds fuel to the fire. Mark gives a great reason for keeping your mouth shut when you are upset with your significant other and he makes a lot of sense. Bill thinks there may be more Coyotes in North America than at any other point in history. To prove his point he plays a news story from Texas a few days ago about a Coyote attack on a beach, then plays a story from Canada about a small dog being attacked by five coyotes. Bill answers a live call and it goes how you think it may but, the caller does make some good points about gambling. Talk transitions to a Title 9 rule where if there is not an equivlant high school sports team for a girl or a boy, then they can legally play on whatever team is available – for example, there are no High School Girls Football teams, therefore girls have played on boys teams. In Massachusetts there was an incident in a Field Hockey game, a boy plays on the girls team, took a shot on goal and ended up knocking an opposing female players teeth out. While legal, is it fair? Doug recalls going to Vegas to see a Wayne Newton show with his parents. Bill shares Halloween memories from childhood, egging, being jumped for his candy and trick or treating with his kids. It is the broken window theory, that visible signs of crime and civil disorder create an environment that encourages further crime and disorder, which seems to be happening today with some people as young as 12 being picked up for stealing cars eight different times! Bill and Dan had never heard that, so Bill plays both songs at the same time and you be the judge as to how similar the songs are. This leads to talk of reviving an old radio bit, what you doing at the courthouse. Doug talks about picking people up with Uber after they have been in court and it is easy to tell how their day is going. Kevin says the East Side is “snootier,” but not necessarily smarter. Bill then talks about seeing two slightly, out of shape middle aged guys out of their cars in the middle of the street arguing and holding up traffic, not East Side behavior. Lacking Leadership Bill, Dan and Kevin are joined by Greg Connors from Greg’s Man Cave where they all watched the Buffalo Bills lose to AFC East rival the New England Patriots! Greg is fired up! Kevin, the lone Patriot fan, is quite, but happy! The Bills were the biggest favorites in the league heading into this game and they lost! What is happening? Dan and Greg think it is a lack of leadership, guys not calling each other out for missed plays, dropped passes, poor blocks, they use examples of team leaders that have done that on winning teams. Caleb Williams the USC quarterback is projected to go very high in the draft and he has said that he wants an ownership stake in any NFL team that selects him. Greg says that will never happen! He said 1 percent ownership in a team may be around 40 to 50 million dollars. The Pegulas own 100 percent of the Buffalo Bills and will not take on minority ownership, because as Greg points out even a small percentage owner can be a disruption for the majority owner. Bill brings up the story from Page Six that the woman who had the alleged affair with David Beckham when he played for Real Madrid wants him to take ownership of the affair. The affair is mentioned in the Netflix documentary, but the woman’s name is not. However, the woman, Rebecca Loos, believes she is made to look like she made Victoria Beckham suffer not David. She is now married to a doctor and has children who she says can use Google and she wants it made clear that David is not the victim and was a willing participant in the affair. Bill believes there is a double standard when it comes to affairs and that a woman takes most of the blame. The Rolling Stones have been everywhere including an appearance by Mick Jagger in SNL! Bill and Dan are St. John Fisher University graduates and Greg is an Alfred Graduate, the two schools meet on the football field next Saturday, the bets get made and may St. John Fisher University win!
