Why did Tuchel choose a back three? Why bench Thomas Müller in a game like this?Thomas Tuchel committed a cardinal sin — he decided to play scared vs Xabi Alonso’s Leverkusen.Somehow, Thomas Tuchel thinks that he’s still coaching Chelsea FC.The stark difference between Leverkusen’s mentality and Bayern’s mentality, from a tactical and strategic standpoint. Why was Guerreiro not used at left-back? Bavarian Podcast Works: Postgame Show — Bayern Munich 3-1 Gladbach (Bundesliga)
Bayern Munich hosted Borussia Mönchengladbach at the Allianz Arena and the Bavarians started out extremely fast with some dominant play. However, U-ball (gasp!) came back into play and Bayern Munich lost control of the match for a bit, which put the homeside in a 1-0 hole after a very uncharacteristic mistake from Manuel Neuer. Perseverance would end up being the word of the day, though, as the Bavarians battled back to secure the 3-1 victory. Let’s take a look at what we have on tap for this episode: A look at Thomas Tuchel’s starting XI and how it played out when working together on the pitch. A rundown of the scoring and substitutes. Aleksandar Pavlović is not disproving any of his believers. If The Mandalorian was here, he would say Jamal Musiala at wing and Thomas Müller attacking midfield is the way. A quick look at what’s next for the Bavarians. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Bavarian Podcast Works: Weekend Warm-up Podcast Season 3, Ep 30 — A win is a win - is it still okay?; Why won’t Bayern Munich make Musiala play wing?; Zaragoza - a panic move; Tuchel discourse; & MORE
Bayern Munich is coming off of a somewhat of a crazy transfer window in the midst of a slew of injuries and while preparing to face-off with the always pesky Borussia Mönchengladbach.Needless to say, we have a TON to talk about. Let’s take a look at what is top for this week’s episode: What the Philadelphia Eagles taught us about “a win is a win” and why Bayern Munich needs to get it together. Why is Thomas Tuchel so averse to Jamal Musiala playing wing — even at a time where the club desperately needs him to? Examining the validity of my own crackpot theory about Musiala possibly refusing to play wing. Is there a primadonna blossoming under the radar? Taking a look at the other options: Thomas Muller, Mathys Tel, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, Bryan Zaragoza, and Alphonso Davies. Was bringing in Zaragoza now, a panic move? The acquisition of Sacha Boey and what it could mean for the future of Noussair Mazraoui. A deep dive in how divisive Tuchel has made things in the Bayern Munich fanbase. Bavarian Podcast Works: Preview Show — Bayern Munich vs. Gladbach (Bundesliga)
Bogey alert!Bayern Munich will host Borussia Mönchengladbach for what could be a very important Bundesliga matchup. The Bavarians have had a lot of trouble with Die Fohlen in recent years and this could be a situation where the banged up and weary boys from Bayern Munich need to really dig deep even against a Borussia Mönchengladbach side that is not exactly a juggernaut. Let’s take a look at what we have on tap for this Preview Show: A look at where each team is in the table. Some thoughts on Bayern Munich’s injury and absence situation and what Thomas Tuchel might to do to work around missing key players like Kim Min-jae, Noussair Mazraoui, Dayot Upamecano, Konrad Laimer, Kingsley Coman, Serge Gnabry, and Joshua Kimmich. Bavarian Podcast Works: Postgame Show — Augsburg 2-3 Bayern Munich (Bundesliga)
Phew, Bayern Munich got away with that one. After going 3-1 up courtesy of goals by Aleksandar Pavlović, Alphonso Davies, and Harry Kane, no one would have expected FC Augsburg to make it a nervous finish for Bayern by getting two penalties in quick succession in the dying minutes of the game. Anyway, it was still an important win — no one can argue with three points. In this episode, we discuss the following topics: The starting lineups of the game. Manager Thomas Tuchel’s tactics and how he set up his team. The individual performance of one Aleksandar Pavlović. The future of Tuchel at Bayern Munich. Bavarian Podcast Works: Weekend Warm-up Podcast Season 3, Episode 29 — Analyzing the state of Bayern Munich; What’s going on w/ Joshua Kimmich; What should Bayern do with Alphonso Davies; and MORE!
Bayern Munich has had yet another insane week. A loss to Werder Bremen, a win over Union Berlin, a few key injuries, a dozen or so transfer rumors...as the Talking Heads once said, “Same as it ever was.”To help stay competitive through this stretch Bayern Munich might have to spend more money than it is really comfortable with. Needless to say, a lot can still happen...but will anything actually go down? Let’s discuss: Analyzing the state of the team and why Thomas Tuchel still seems to be refusing to do the obvious. There could be a disconnect between Tuchel and his bosses, but no move is imminent. Would Hansi Flick come back and would it work if he did? Does Tuchel hate Leon Goretzka? Examining the latest transfer rumors surrounding Joshua Kimmich. What should Bayern Munich do with Alphonso Davies? Is there any reason to starting being concerned with Leroy Sané? Bavarian Podcast Works: Preview Show — FC Augsburg vs. Bayern Munich (Bundesliga)
Bayern Munich bounced back into the win column with a midweek victory over Union Berlin, which was much needed. While not everything was great in the aftermath of the match, the boys did pick up three points. The Bavarians were dominant in the victory, but the downside was that a few players picked up injuries, which could make things interesting against FC Augsburg. Let’s take a look at what is on tap for this episode:A look at where each team is in the table. Some thoughts on Bayern Munich’s injury situation and what Thomas Tuchel might to do to work around missing Dayot Upamecano, Konrad Laimer, and maybe even Joshua Kimmich. An attempt to figure out Tuchel’s lineup for the game — one back three option and one back four formation.A prediction on the match. Bavarian Podcast Works: Postgame Show – Bayern Munich 1-0 Union Berlin (Bundesliga)
Bayern Munich and Union Berlin hooked up for a very testy makeup game, which saw the Bavarians prevail 1-0. It was hard to pinpoint many flaws from Bayern Munich as the Rekordmeister was dominant in nearly every aspect of the match — except for the scoreboard. Let’s take a look at what we have on tap for this episode: A look at Thomas Tuchel’s starting lineup and the differences between this match and how Tuchel aligned the squad last weekend vs. Werder Bremen. A rundown of the subs and scoring (this game felt like Bayern Munich should have scored more goal, right?). Raphaël Guerreiro took advantage of his opportunity didn’t he? Some thoughts on why the game was a dominant effort, but somehow left us feeling a little unfulfilled. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices Hosted on Acast. Bavarian Podcast Works: Preview Show — Bayern Munich vs. Union Berlin (Bundesliga)
Bayern Munich has a quick turnaround after its 1-0 loss at the hands of Werder Bremen. The Bavarians are in desperate need of a victory after dropping points over the weekend and it would seem — on the surface — that Union Berlin would be the perfect opponent. Sitting in 15th place Union Berlin has been a mess for most of the season, but is unbeaten (win over FC Köln, draw with SC Freiburg) in its last two games. The Iron Ones were supposed to play Mainz 05 last weekend, but weather conditions postponed that match-up, which probably leaves them fresh to face the Bavarians. Here is what we have on tap for this episode: A look at where each team is in the table. Some thoughts on Bayern Munich’s loss to Werder Bremen, the state of team under Thomas Tuchel, and why things could be falling apart. A prediction on the match. Learn more about your ad choices. S6 Ep 28Bavarian Podcast Works S6E28: Bayern Munich MUST sack Thomas Tuchel to save the season and here’s why (Rant incoming)
That was shameful, and it’s only going to get worse. Bayern Munich just lost to Werder Bremen for the first time since 2008, and you really cannot blame anyone except Thomas Tuchel. People will argue against this, but at this point there’s nothing to argue against. The coach has his team playing some of the most diabolical football possible right now, and the results aren’t even what they used to be. This gives us plenty to talk about on the podcast, but we’re not happy about it. In this episode, INNN tackles the following: The lineup: Why bench Thomas Müller AGAIN? The return of the U-shaped system. Harry Kane is not playing like a striker and that has consequences for everybody. Jamal Musiala is wasted in this system. Leroy Sané is not playing better on the left and Tuchel is causing havoc by letting him. A mini-rant about Müller which you’ve probably heard before, but it needs repeating. The midfield doesn’t work and here’s why. What does Guerreiro even DO? How Alphonso Davies has been made redundant by the current Bayern system. Dayot Upamecano has too many responsibilities and that’s a problem. A question for the board and their failures — why is Konrad Laimer the starting RB? Why doesn’t the board want to invest in the squad? Why shouldn’t the board sack Tuchel? It would be in the team’s best interest. Who might take over — a shortlist. A final word and outro, plus a short preview of the Union Berlin game. Be sure to stay tuned to Bavarian Podcast Works for all of your up to date coverage on Bayern Munich and Germany. Bavarian Podcast Works: Weekend Warm-up Season 3, Ep 28 — Do or die time for De Ligt at Bayern Munich?; Müller is the mentality monster; Wirtz news; Wrapping up Fargo + Marvel chatter; & MORE!
Bayern Munich is in the middle of a solid run on the pitch and has been thrust into the craziness of this winter transfer window by being linked to what feels like a dozen names. Clearly, there is a lot going on and much to talk about when it comes to the Bavarians. Let’s get right to it: This is really “do or die” time at Bayern Munich for Matthijs de Ligt. Thomas Müller might have the best outlook and attitude of any athlete (and unfortunately, he will probably need it as this second half goes on). Florian Wirtz might cost an insane amount. The story of the demise of the relationship of Robert Lewandowski and Julian Nagelsmann at Bayern Munich seems on-point. Bavarian Podcast Works: Preview Show — Bayern Munich vs. Werder Bremen (Bundesliga)
After a week in Portugal, Bayern Munich is headed back to the frosty confines of the Allianz Arena. With a week in the sun to rejuvenate and prepare for the second half of the season without any distractions, the Bavarians will seek to continue their winning ways in the Bundesliga against lowly Werder Bremen. With just four wins through 17 match days in the league, Die Werderaner will have its work cut out for it. Let’s see what’s on tap for this episode: A look at where each team is in the table. S6 Ep 27Bavarian Podcast Works S6E27: Is Bayern Munich making the wrong moves in the winter transfer window? + Kimmich, Davies, and other futures discussed + A note on Der Kaiser
We’re back and so is Bayern Munich — on the pitch at least. In the transfer window, the club seems a bit stuck. Only one winter transfer has been confirmed so far, and while Eric Dier is a quality depth piece, he’s not exactly a blockbuster signing. Also, tragedy struck last week as the club lost its biggest ever legend. It’s still hard to process that, but we will try to address it. In this podcast, INNN and Samrin talk about the following: What do we think of Bayern Munich’s winter transfer business so far? Is Eric Dier and (potentially) Nordi Mukiele enough for the team? Why does Bayern Munich seem to want a complete paradigm shift in the squad? Is that why the club is saving money? Joshua Kimmich might want to leave this summer now. Is Alphonso Davies really ready to move to Real Madrid? How other players — Leon Goretzka, Jamal Musiala, Matthijs de Ligt, Noussair Mazraoui, etc. — could all be on the move in the summer. Why is Thomas Tuchel been given this much power in squad planning? End note: Our thoughts on the passing of Der Kaiser. Bavarian Podcast Works: Postgame Show – Bayern Munich 3-0 Hoffenheim (Bundesliga)
Bayern Munich got off to a winning start for the second half of the season as it downed Hoffenheim 3-0 in a match that was sometimes frustrating for fans of the Bavarians. Defensively, Bayern Munich was very solid for most of the match, but did — perhaps — get a little lucky. Attacking-wise, Bayern Munich left something to be desire for portions of the game, but did manage to look sensational at other points. Let’s see what Marcus and Chuck have to say about the match. Here is what we have on tap: A look at the starting XI, which saw Leon Goretzka sent to the bench in favor of Raphaël Guerreiro. A rundown of the scoring and substitutions. Takes on how Bayern Munich played, what was good...what needs some work. Why Hoffenheim was a tough match-up and could surprise some people in the second half of the season.
