I became a Christian in response to this sermon of Bully Graham’s in the movie “Time to Run” which I saw on March 11, 1973, from then on my life changed, God gave me a new heart and gave me a new family. Culminating in meeting my wife Carol, 11 years later and marrying her on August 11, 1984, and then God gave us two great sons, ages 38 and 40 now. No regrets. Enjoy our fun conversation that went on over an hour…..The main point I tried to make was along this line: ”The Gospel of Jesus Christ answers the great question about God’s relationship to the world not with some philosophical treatise or some theological construct, but with a story. It is the story about the awesome power of God that took a man who died as a criminal and not only raised him from the dead, but also rocketed him to a place far above “all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given… and made him the head over everything for the church….” (Ephesians 1:22-23). Neither hairy thunderer nor cosmic muffin, our God has shown his mighty power to save us by becoming one of us. God is both far above and for us.
