I ask because I went to confession and the priest had a strong accent that made it hard to understand. Because of this, I didn't hear what I was supposed to do afterwards. I told my mother what happened, and she said that the confession didn't count, and that I had to return back to confession. I then told her no, because God has already forgiven my sins so there was no reason to do that. Who is in the right?
