In part one of this two-part conversation, Daniel and Luke discuss some of the assumptions made and questions raised by Scientism:
- Must science and religion be seen as in conflict?
- Has science disproven the existence of God?
- Is science the best or even only way to know truth?
- For anything to be true, does it have to be observable, testable, repeatable and peer reviewed?
Luke A. Barnes is a theoretical astrophysicist, cosmologist, and postdoctoral researcher at Western Sydney University. He received his PhD in Astronomy from the University of Cambridge in 2009.
