Anything But Quiet Time with Rachelle & Carder

<p>We are joined by musical artist Leanna Crawford to dig into scripture as her latest song is called "Psalm 23" because of the peace it brings. It's the foundation for us as we get into comparison and how social media is a fine line of driving us to become well rounded people and exhausting/killing us at the same time. </p>

<p>It's REALLY good news this week, as we see God's gracious come to life in a story Jesus tells. We also find out how Rachelle rebelled when she was a kid in a laugh out loud moment!</p>

<p>Why do Ezekiel's temple measurements seem "off" with what gets rebuilt and how does his vision share hope and life to those outside of the temple walls? Rachelle talks about that and Carder speaks into: "if Jesus wasn't Who He said," then his message wouldn't be worth following.</p>

<p>Maybe you've grown up hearing God is "3 in 1", but how exactly does that work? We dive deep into how it works (as best we can), along with the scripture that discusses this doctrine, even though the word "trinity" isn't actually in the Bible.</p>

<p>Can a truly bad person receive the grace of Jesus? Even if it's at the end of their life? We discuss, with Rachelle sharing the story of an awful person on his death bed. </p>

<p>A great discussion with our radio show producer Reyna about how prison has impacted her life. Her dad went there when she was young, and now it's come full circle: she goes back into prisons to sing and share her story with inmates.</p>

<p>This week we discuss different views on the Bible. From Christians differing on age old questions, to even LDS/Mormons and differences in their views on the Bible. One thing is clear: we have to try to understand what the context is, and never assume what it means.</p>

<p>We discuss that hard to answer question: is our life our own, or has God pre-planned every detail? Or perhaps there is a mixture of God's plan and my free will?</p>

<p>Carder has an anti resolution inspired by Jesus' words. Instead of a goal, it's just about doing something. Rachelle shares a story to go along with that where her and strangers teamed up do something so simple, yet so meaningful. </p>

<p>A good reminder for the "boring" parts of scripture: that when you step back and look at the bigger picture, you see how beautiful it is. We also address how some can make it seem like there is secret knowledge we are "missing out on". </p>

<p>We discuss a new phenomenon called "quiet quitting" your family. Is this Biblical, or even healthy? Rachelle recalls a great childhood memory that's a life lesson for being patient and waiting on God.</p>

<p>Rachelle gets vulnerable this week as she talks about physical changes in her life. It's a great lesson for all of us to handle any change in a Biblical way. </p>

<p>When life throws stuff at us, how do we fight? Ephesians 6 gives us great insight on letting God fight for us. Especially because there is a battle happening that we can't see.</p>
