Given it’s the holiday season and the poker news is slow, we decided to dedicate this shorter show to a pair of Hands of the Week from one of our most dedicated listeners.

DEC. 13 POKERCAST RECAP: The World Series of Poker has announced the dates for its 51st series, another cheating scandal is in the news and poker lost another important figure, Mike Gainey, who died after a long illness. We also complete an O’Mally’s Move and Vic G. has the Hand of the Week.

DEC. 6 POKERCAST RECAP: We have yet again more poker awards news, plus we explore what poker players should be “thankful” for this year. We also have a new O’Mally’s Move and a Hand of the Week from some guy named Vic.

Daniel Negreanu has signed with a new poker site and we discuss a piece that has a few suggestions to make tournaments better. Also, we complete an O’Mally’s Move and Jonovan Ottenbacher has the Hand of the Week, 5-4 on the button.

Ken Sumner wins the AUPT main event at Wild Horse Pass in Arizona. We also discuss the Venetian “drawing” tournament again and wonder if an opportunity was indeed missed. Doc Frank has the Hand of the Week.

NOV. 15 POKERCAST RECAP: Scott went to the Deep Stack Charity Classic at the Isle in South Florida, a clerical error takes away the WSOP POY title from Daniel Negreanu and the AUPT event at Wild Horse Pass in Arizona is under way. We also complete an O’Mally’s Move and Matt Hayward has the Hand of the Week.

We have lots of Ante Up events to promote, but somewhere inside all of those items is a news report about Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang being for federal regulation of poker. We also have a new O’Mally’s Move and Vic is back with a Hand of the Week.

It’s our Oct. 25 show and we discuss Daniel Negreanu’s idea of a new tournament series, though it’s not clear if this would be a tour. We also find some controversy in the deaf poker community and we complete an O’Mally’s Move.
