SEPT. 3 POKERCAST RECAP: We have a new Ante Up World Champion; the World Series of Poker is requiring all players to be fully vaccinated, and there was a recent women’s poker survey that showed the top reasons why they don’t play. We have a new O’Mally’s Move and Dan England has an Omaha Hand of the Week. One production note: There will be no show next week but we will return with the Sept. 17 edition.

AUG. 27 POKERCAST RECAP: The Ante Up World Poker Championship at Thunder Valley Casino Resort in Northern California is winding down, but not before some more record numbers and a fantastic main event still to come! We have news that Lon McEachern and Norman Chad will be back in the booth for this year’s WSOP, Live Casino in Maryland cancels its WPT series because of COVID and MGM Springfield is expected to bring back its poker room by the end of the year. We also complete the O’Mally’s Move and Keiran Downie has the Hand of the Week with J-9 in a $2-$5 NLHE game.

AUG. 20 POKERCAST RECAP: The Ante Up World Poker Championships at Thunder Valley Casino Resort in California are a smashing success with records being broken and great stories emerging. Also, there’s a Covid update for the WSOP and Harrah’s NOLA. Eric Seidel won his ninth WSOP bracelet and we have a new O’Mally’s Move. Matt Hayward has our Hand of the Week and it’s PLO!

AUG. 13 POKERCAST RECAP: In a very special episode, we interview Ben Erwin, Thunder Valley Casino Resort Director of Poker Operations. It’s our first interview on the show in years, and what an interview it was as we discuss the upcoming Ante Up World Championship, which begins this week! Our normal show will return next week.

AUG. 6 POKERCAST RECAP: With the Delta variant of Covid-19 brutalizing America, poker series are being postponed and health protocols are returning. What does that mean for the upcoming World Series of Poker? Also, the 2+2 Forum gets sold and a loser in a Florida home game pulls a gun and is behind bars now. JULY 30 POKERCAST RECAP: It’s soapbox time for the Ante Up hosts. Be sure to give a listen because you don’t want to miss the poker guys ranting about numerous topics this week. JULY 16 POKERCAST RECAP: The World Poker Tour officially belongs to Element Partners; WSOP.com is now available in Pennsylvania; 888 teams with Sports Illustrated and there’s still time to bid on items in the Ante Up Fan Auction. We also have some poker room reopening news, a new O’Mally’s Move and Jimmy Fulton has A-K in the Hand of the Week.

JULY 9 POKERCAST RECAP: The Ante Up Worlds schedule and structures are announced, as is our Ante Up Poker Auction. We also have some poker room reopening-closing news and we complete an O’Mally’s Move. Brannen Hough is back with the Hand of the Week.

JULY 2 POKERCAST RECAP: Wynn makes its $10M guarantee; Resorts World Las Vegas will have a 30-table poker room; Phil Ivey is in the NFT game now, and Veronica Brill gets nearly $28K in the Mike Postle case, but can she collect it? We also have a new O’Mally’s Move and RC has the Hand of the Week with 7-6 on no-limit hold’em poker.

JUNE 25 POKERCAST RECAP: Our website crashed last week so last week’s show was re-uploaded and that confused some of our listeners. This is this week’s show! The Ante Up Worlds are returning in August at Thunder Valley Casino Resort! Also, the DOJ won’t appeal the Wire Act interpretation and Doyle Brunson is playing some World Series of Poker events this fall at the age of 87! We also complete an O’Mally’s Move and Todd McGee has the Hand of the Week.

JUNE 18 POKERCAST RECAP: Happy 16th anniversary to us! The show is 16 years old and the company is 13 years old. We also discuss the finalized World Series of Poker schedule, the guy who skipped his niece’s wedding to play in a poker tournament and we have a new O’Mally’s Move. Finally, Vic G. is back after a long hiatus with the Hand of the Week, 8-8.

JUNE 11 POKERCAST RECAP: Scott returns to live poker for the first time in 20 months; the World Poker Tour announces its 2021 schedule, and Mike Postle’s legal woes continue. We also complete an O’Mally’s Move and Robert Denison has the Hand of the Week with A6s.

JUNE 4 POKERCAST RECAP: Chris’ old stomping grounds, Connecticut, approves online gaming, including poker. Also, former poker world champ Chris Moneymaker sues PayPal and a cheating device is sold on Pawn Stars. We have a new O’Mally’s Move and it’s a sad day as the 10th of 10 Hands of the Week from Jerry Hanes is analyzed.

MAY 28 POKERCAST RECAP: A poker thief is caught, a local Tampa room hosts a mixed series and a poker author is telling managers how to run their rooms. Plus, we complete an O’Mally’s Move and Jerry Hanes has his ninth hand in a series of 10 hands for our Hand of the Week segment.

APRIL 23 POKERCAST RECAP: The World Series of Poker’s online series schedule is announced and its brick-and-mortar series is moving from ESPN to CBS Sports Network. APRIL 16 POKERCAST RECAP: We chat about a poker class at Northwestern for female students, how the pandemic brought poker players together and what you might pay for poker memorabilia. We also complete an O’Mally’s Move and we have another Hand of the Week from Jerry Hanes.

APRIL 9 POKERCAST RECAP: The World Series of Poker has released its dates; Mike Postle has dropped his defamation suit, and Oregon clubs are dealt another legal blow. We have a new O’Mally’s Move and Jerry Hanes has the second of 10 hands in our Hand of the Week segment.

APRIL 2 POKERCAST RECAP: Phil Hellmuth and Danie Negreanu complete their $100K match; Kentucky is still trying to squeeze PokerStars for cash; Texas inches closer to having casinos, and we have yet another World Poker Tour sale update. MARCH 19 POKERCAST RECAP: With poker rooms returning more and more, will there be a mini boom? Will the players who never strayed reap the benefits of rusty players or even new players? We also compare crypto traders to poker players, update the WPT sale and it looks like Chris can retire after all, thanks to compounding interest on Shaun Deeb’s $50. MARCH 12 POKERCAST RECAP: Chris finds a decades-old post by Chicago Jason on ChicagoPokerClub.Net that opens an old wound; the WPT may be bought by another company and our sources tell us the WSOP may be in July or August. MARCH 5 POKERCAST RECAP: The World Poker Tour will get to complete its three final tables that have been on hiatus since the Covid-19 outbreak. Also, Norman Chad still is suffering from Covid, Brent Carter is in hot water and Calvin Ayre is shutting down his website. Also, 2009 WSOP runner-up Darvin Moon died during surgery and pro Brad Booth was found after being reported missing.
