Talk radio legend Cameron Gray suddenly and unexpectedly passed away this past weekend. Folks knew him from his work as a G. Gordon Liddy producer, from his appearances on the Don and Mike Show, and then, later from his work with Cam Edwards and John Popp on "Cam & Company" for NRA TV and SiriusXM Patriot 125.He was a good friend to AJSTW host, Andrew Langer, and here, Andrew offers a tribute to Cameron as the introduction to the reissue of an episode from the old LangerCast, in which Cameron sat in with Andrew and Jerry. The title of the show is "Everyone Hates Langer" because Cameron posed the question as to WHY people hate Andrew... as he discovered in a conversation with someone all three men knew.

There is direct harm that is being caused within US society from these divisive policies--and then there are the indirect harms, including the gaslighting of Americans. Jerry has a brilliant insight into the fundamental flaw in the theories being advanced by the 1619 Project, one which speaks to why America is and has been a force for good, why the principles the nation was founded on are the right principles, and that America's success is due to these policies and not the addled theories of the 1619 Project.As the show starts to close, Jerry tells a poignant anecdote about a family member's student teaching experience in Washington, DC this week. This leads into an intense discussion of whether students should be separated by academic achievement or all mixed together, and Andrew tells the story of how such a debate almost 40 years ago led him to leaving public schools, and the legacy for his childhood school system today.

John Lennon said, "There's UFOs over New York, and I ain't too surprised." Well, nobody told us there'd be days like these, with UFO's being shot down in Alaska, the Yukon and the Great Lakes! Andrew and Jerry talk about this story - what's being discussed, what isn't being discussed, and absent leadership on the part of Team Biden. This dovetails into the failure of the US media, a discussion of what killed intellectual curiousity, and how the elites in America don't really want to solve the nation's problems. Policy is different than politics, and there are those who want to perpetuate the nation's problems since it gives them more power. We have train derailments across the US, food processing plants going up in flames, and other suspicious activities that make one wonder if all of these things aren't connected to the Chinese launching a balloon to cross North America. Andrew and Jerry talk corruption and the troubling stories coming out of places like Baltimore - and is America in an era in which we want to blame anyone or anything other than people who are committing misdeeds. What does the push towards greater conformity and permissiveness mean to the psyche of young women?

Following last week's hot discussion of Mike Pence and classified documents, Andrew and Jerry return to form with an in-depth discussion of the issue of "privilege". Tying together this week's hottest news stories: the savage beating and killing of Tyre Nichols in Memphis, the aquittal of a pro-life activist in federal court in Philadelphia, the Associated Press continuing to try and fundamentally reshape the english language, Andrew and Jerry weave a much-deeper story of how the progressive left has, for decades, used a variety of tools: privilege, institutional racism, the racial resentment index, DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) to undermine the fabric of classical liberal democracy. Are there mitigating circumstances or how does this figure into the overall issue of different levels of justice. Then there's the question of transformative versus managerial political leadership - and where does Pence fall into this. What is Pence's record as a congressman or governor, and what issues were his own. How does this figure into the field of candidates for 2024? And what of the political "grifter" class? On January 19, 2023, musician David Crosby passed at the age of 81. Crosby's music was hugely important to Andrew Langer, and in this bonus episode, Andrew talks about that influence--from Crosby's music to how he lived his life. While originally planning on focusing exclusively on remembering and memorializing 9/11, Andrew and Jerry couldn't let the passing of Britain's Queen Elizabeth go by without some extensive discussion. Elizabeth reigned for seven decades, and Britain was transformed during that time (as was the rest of the world). Worse, the evening after the would-be assassin is arrested, protestors are back at Justice Kavanaugh's home, in violation of federal law. Andrew and Jerry dive into WHY it's against the law to try and intimidate a justice--and why comedian Patton Oswalt's hot take was just so misguided.They investigate a musical mystery having to do with Led Zeppelin and the Small Faces, and they wish "Big Jerry" the happiest of birthdays!

A major technical malfunction leaves AJSTW guestless this week--but that doesn't stop Andrew and Jerry from having an intense conversation about the gun debate that grips America. Why is the left obsessed with taking guns away from law abiding Americans, and why have they been obsessed with this for so long? They talk about the history of gun control in America, and what's changed sociologically. They also talk about the historic efforts to sidestep the Constitution - not just on the issue of guns, but on the issue of other rights as well. Plus, it's Pride Month, and not only is the left changing the definition of gender, we're now in a place where a California court has ruled that BEES are FISH!

An especially serious AJSTW this week as we are reeling from the events in Uvalde, Texas. Andrew and Jerry want to focus squarely on the problems of school shootings (and violence in society generally), and actually have two different approaches as to how to handle the problem. With each successive hot take being more awful than the one before it, all sorts of questions have to be asked... from how did THIS specific school shooting come to happen, to the more general issue of school safety, and then to the decline of society more generally. Andrew and Jerry talk about the issue of guns, of rights, and how this issue relates to the debate over abortion and the right to life. The role of parents is discussed, and how there are failures throughout the political class in all of this.

It's a conversation that not enough people are having--how Progressives (and Democrats) are creating problems (or making problems worse) and then offering up their government solutions to "solve" them (only to make matters worse). Andrew and Jerry are joined by Phil Kerpen from the Committee to Unleash Prosperty (and American Commitment) for an in-depth discussion of the major issues of the day... and how Americans are being misled on so many of them. Andrew and Jerry open up with a discussion of the Disinformation Governance Board and Nina Jankowicz' resignation. There's an amazing example of advocacy journalism in a bizarre Washington Post article on the tech industry and abortion, and the Washington Post goes even further with printing an op-ed from a George Washington University student calling for GW to be renamed.Jen Psaki is at her most arrogant, Bill Maher learns something about abortion and abortion rights, Jerry and Andrew once again get into a discussion of the beatification of progressives who are occasionally correct on issues.

A draft Supreme Court opinion on abortion was leaked to the press earlier this week. Was this unprecedented or merely unusual? Andrew and Jerry are joined by Carrie Severino, president of the Judicial Crisis Network (and a former clerk to Justice Clarence Thomas) to talk about this earth-shattering story. They talk about the climate of the Supreme Court, why this leak shakes the court to its very foundations.
