112- WandaVision Wrap-Up
EThis week the boys have quite a bit of news to catch up on. FARTS are coming to Animal Crossing. FINALY. The thing that you've all been asking Nintendo for and they finally caved. Good job everyone. Dev Patel has a new Netflix deal to go on top of his classic movie The Green Knight (which may or may not have come out of next). There is a LGBTQ Captain America (who has some overalls), and Netflix is about to stop you all from mooching off of your parent's password. Lastly but not leastly: the boys are here to wrap up the season that was in WandaVision. Was it great? Yes. Was it amazing? Also yes. Did Ryan think that white Vision was actually called the Pigeon because he misheard in a video from years ago? Definitely yes. 111- Little Nightmares II
EWell well well, have we got a treat for you guys this week.... and by a treat, we mean a nightmare of a rather beautiful game, where you control a kid that moves like a tank. It's not the best but hey... the boys had some fun with it.... kinda??There's plenty of news this week also.. but most of it is 11 different versions of Final Fantasy 7 coming out. Seriously Square... we just want to know how far along part 2 is but hey, at least we'll be able to play a prequel and a remade version of the remake of the original on iOS and Android while we're waiting...Almost Accurate is a weekly pop culture podcast hosted by Jake and Ryan who review the latest in Movies, TV Shows, Video Games, and more. #TBT Episode 1- Best of Episodes 1-15
EWho remembers Throwback Thursdays? Are we too old for that? I feel like we might be getting a bit too old for that. Anyhow, since we don't have a new episode for you this week, we've decided to put together a clip show for all of you, whether you've been with us from the very beginning (God bless you) or whether this is your very first time listening to us (then you're in for a TREAT just so you know) you'll get to experience some of the highlights, of the lowlights of the first 15 episodes of our podcast. The fact that we've been doing this for 2 and a half years at this point is a truly mind-blowing thing to think about, so even if the show was a bit rougher, the jokes a bit cruder, it's still fun to reminisce on how far we've come. So pull up a chair and let us regale you with some utter silliness from the Almost Accurate vault. Episodes featured: Episode 1- What Makes a Good Super Hero Film?Episode 2- The Disaster ArtistEpisode 3- Marvel's Spider-Man (PlayStation 4)Episode 4- VenomEpisode 6- Halloween (2018) Episode 7- Read Dead Redemption 2Episode 8- Syro Reignited Trilogy & Castlevania Requiem CollectionEpisode 10- The Grinch Episode 12- Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu! & more Read Dead Redemption 2Episode 13- Aquaman, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-VerseEpisode 14, Birdbox, Holmes and WatsonEpisode 15- Bumblebee, 2019 Predicitons Hosted on Acast. 110- Framing Britney Spears, Love & Monsters
EHey guys... we got a real humdinger of an episode today for you. The boys have watched the documentary Framing Britney Spears and boy oh boy do they have some opinions about the absolute rot that we just witnessed in terms of filmmaking and storytelling. Seriously people, if you aren't familiar with the Britney Spears story, it's worth a watch. Hell... even if you aren't familiar with it, it's shocking to see everything that has transpired behind the scenes of such a well-known public figure. The boys (well, one of them at least) also watched Love and Monsters, a surprisingly fantastic and well made film staring Dylan O'Brien and a dog serving an apocalypse where bugs get real big and try to eat you, and maybe there's a girl you made out with 6 years ago that you're willing to risk your life to see again. But hey, like we said earlier, no spoilers. Also, you guys know, NEWS. so much NEWS (well... not as much as normal but there's NEWS still this week). 109- Irresistible
EWhat's up guys? Is it cold where you're at? Is your power even on? Feel free to chew up any of that precious, precious phone battery life you may have left and let the boys into your home this week (seriously, it's cold out there and they'd really appreciate it). This week: the boys recite in complete and total detail EVERYTHING that Nintendo announced on their February 17th Direct, Cruella gets a trailer where she doesn't try to kill any dogs to make a coat, and we have some things to say about the Snyder Cut. Well... not too many things to say that haven't been said about that monstrosity of a movie already. On top of all of that, a new(wish) movie to talk about! The boys watch Irresistible, a Jon Stewart political comedy staring Steve Carrel and Rose Byrne (it's good, seriously, you're not going to want to miss this). Almost Accurate is a weekly pop culture podcast hosted by Jake and Ryan who review the latest in Movies, TV Shows, Video Games, and more. Like the show? 108- The Boys Have Been Busy
EWhat do you do when there's not much going on and you realize you've forgotten to choose a main topic for the week? You talk about how busy you've been. Busy doing what? Busy creating content. Fire Content. FIRE we say. Seriously... just bear with us, there's some news and some stuff in here we promise....The Falcon and the Winter Solider had a BIG trailer that released during the Super Bowl, and it looks like Bob Odenkirk made an appearance there too. His daughter was missing a kitty bracelet or something and he's trying to make the perfect lasagna. Fast 9 has a new trailer and it sure seems like... family? Magnets? Something is going on there for sure. But what about main topics you might ask? We think we heard at least one of you asking. Jake has been delving (obsessing) with Persona 5 Royal for the last few weeks and offers up some thoughts on that, and also on How to Get Away with Murder (which also is quite good). Ryan has been buying some Tombstone Funko Pop figures (which apparently they make. Good stuff.) 107- WandaVision
EWe're back!!Fresh off a week-long break the boys have a bunch of news to catch up on. Is Godzilla going to fight Kong? It sure looks like it. Is Eddie Murphy Coming 2 America (back to America)? Yep. Did any of you ask for a sequel to that? Like honestly, did you? Is Netflix really quick to snap up the rights to make a GameStop stock (GameStonk) movie and or TV series? You bet they are. Also- Billy Crystal appears to have a difficult time explaining the difference between a TV series and a movie. Like seriously. It happened and it's in print. Last but not least, WandaVision! Four episodes in and the boys give their takes on this sitcom turned..... MCU series? However you want to slice it, it's a little old, and a little new for Marvel and the boys certainly are of the opinion that it's a good thing. Enjoy! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

106- Tenet
EIt's finally time to let some backwards boys watch and walk through the loud, chaotic mess that is Christopher Nolan's Tenet. How is it? Was this really the movie that was supposed to save the cinemas? The boys will let you know (it's not). Also- news! So much news this week! Listen to this episode in reverse to catch some amazing references that we so thoughtfully placed throughout.Almost Accurate is a weekly pop culture podcast hosted by Jake and Ryan who review the latest in Movies, TV Shows, Video Games, and more. 105- Soul
EThis week: the boys tackle all manner of news, from possible GTA 6 news, to a shady Dead or Alive mod, to Kamp Koral, to the newest news of Umbrella Academy Season 3, they cover it all. Well, most of it all. Also this week- Pixar's Soul. How is it? How beautiful and groundbreaking is it? How good is that Trent Reznor score? How wonderful are those jazzy piano melodies? How much does Jamie Foxx want everyone to forget he was also a blue character in Amazing Spider-Man 2? All of these are good questions, and most of them will be answered this week. 104- 2020: A Year in Review
EWell.... 2020, a year that was a dumpster fire from about March onwards. Did anything good happen? A few things we suppose, specifically in the world of Movies, TV Shows, and Video Games, and the boys are going to hash it out! 103- Wonder Woman 1984
EHappy New Year People!Man oh man what a week in news it has been folks! Well.... maybe not so much. I mean you'll see if you listen. However, the boys are here to talk about what is basically the only big Christmas release of this year, Wonder Woman 1984! How is it you ask? Listen and find out (it's not very good we're sad to say). Almost Accurate is a weekly pop culture podcast hosted by Jake and Ryan who review the latest in Movies, TV Shows, Video Games, and more. 102- Home Alone & The Nightmare Before Christmas
EThis week the boys have TWO weeks worth of news to catch up on. Good thing there's been little in the world of movies and videos games to talk about right? The boys stop on what will hopefully be there one and only trip to Cyberpunk corner and the debacle that's unfolded with the botched launch of Cyberpunk 2077. Oh and it's Christmas too folks! Enjoy the boys talking about A Nightmare Before Christmas (which is okay) and, Home Alone (which is an all time classic). Merry Christmas folks!! 101- Die Hard
EThis week Almost Accurate says goodbye to one host, and welcomes another. Thanks Ryan for 100 amazing episodes! Thank you also for having a twin brother Bryan, who just so happens to have a similar voice and opinions that just so happened to lend themselves perfectly for the continued production of this podcast. So... this week the NEW boys have a lot of news to cover, and they also have the ultimate question to answer... is Die Hard a Christmas movie?? Their divided opinion will most likely shock you... we're all sure of that... 100- Gremlins
EThis week the boys celebrate 100 episodes and everything in all that entails? What does all that entail you might ask? Memories upon memories. Some amazing movies (mostly Halloween 2018 and a few others) some notable exchanges, and much much more. Thank you all for being a part of this. We sincerely thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Also- we're starting a new series! Jake & Ryan will look into "Is this a Christmas movie or not?" This week it's Gremlins. What do they think? Wade through the nostalgia and find out my friend. 99- Wonder Woman (2017)
EThis week the boys have a TON of news to catch up on. The Office is finally leaving Netflix at the end of 2020 (thanks 2020), Chappelle's Show is also leaving Netflix (because Dave asked them to take it off there), Gremlin's 3 is going to be back apparently and there's not going to be any CGI Gremlins (one can only hope). That and much much more! The boys also revisit a classic, Wonder Woman to prepare for Wonder Woman 1984, out this Christmas in some (like... 4 cinemas worldwide?) and on HBO Max! Spoiler alert: this is one of the good ones. Like really, really a properly good DC movie. 98- Spider-Man: Miles Morales
ETHIS WEEK: You can pretend you've pre-ordered at PS5 with the boys (but if you haven't, you can always download PS5 simulator, one of the saddest and simultaneously most privileged things we've ever seen), get a look at a proposed Lilo & Stitch live action movie, maybe MAYBE watch Wonder Woman 1984 on Christmas Day if you have a theatre open near you or have HBO Max and more! But wait... there's more! The boys have been playing Spider-Man: Miles Morales which was one of their most anticipated video game releases of this mostly shit year of 2020. How does it hold up compared to the original? Is it still fun to play? How's that combat system aged more than 2 years on from the first game? Well listen and find out! (it's still a VERY fun game: spoiler-alert) Almost Accurate is a weekly pop culture podcast hosted by Jake and Ryan who review the latest in Movies, TV Shows, Video Games, and more. Like the show? If you're one of those people that are downvoting this show because they've switched to a weekly release format- grow up. Seriously. Ryan's also been playing the Tony Hawk 1 & 2 Remaster and is feeling some serious feelings of nostalgia, in what looks like one of the best game remakes we've seen come out in quite some time. Jake takes a small hike with A Short Walk, a delightfully short and very well made game where you're a bird that needs to make a phone call, and both of the boys go in on Shia LeBeouf's latest (masterpiece?) The Trash Collector. Ahem... actually sorry... the Tax Collector. Oh boy. Man. What a film. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

EThe trilogy concludes this week! That’s right folks, the boys are wrapping up their review of the original Star Wars trilogy. Does all of it hold up? Is it still the holy grail of Star Wars media that should be revered and respected forever? Maybe. I mean there are some great parts to Return of the Jedi for sure but the bad part…. Oh boy… They’ve also got news this week. That’s right. NEWS. Cyberpunk is delayed but is still looking surprisingly good and promising? Also Tenet is delayed again, but might save the movie industry? No pressure Christopher Nolan. Also David Spade has a new movie and the boys share some non-spoilery takes on The Wrong Missy. Does she turn out to be the right missy (watch the trailer on Netflix, seriously. We aren’t spoiling anything) Almost Accurate is a weekly pop culture podcast hosted by Jake and Ryan who review the latest in Movies, TV Shows, Video Games, and more. Like the show? 78- Star Wars: A New Hope
EBAAAAAA BAAAA DA DA DA DA DUUMMMMMMMM This is where it all started folks. Cast your minds and your eyes back to 1977 because we have an absolute classic to bring you this week. That’s right- we’re talking Star Wars: A New Hope (not the original title mind you). We know there may not be much new that we can bring you about this movie but it’s still a fun one to revisit, and in a time when there isn’t much new to focus on, we turn our eyes back to the past. So join the boys as they begin the first movie in the original Star Wars trilogy and see the impact it had on them. We’ve also got PS5 news- we finally know what that looks like! Maybe soon we’ll see what the actual price is and when the release date is! 77- Netflix's Space Force
EBit of a different episode this week folks. There's a lot of bad things going on in the world, and podcasting right now isn't one of them. Listen to us talk about Netflix's new series Space Force, but also take action. There is injustice in the world and there is a movement beginning that should never slow down. 76- Tron: Legacy
EWhat's new folks? Those astronauts are launching on that SpaceX rocket right?! Think that was delayed actually. The PS5 is going to be 100x faster than anything you've ever seen right? That Snyder Cut of Justice League is totally real and totally finished... right? The boys return with a FULL week of news (for the first time in a while) and we also have a movie review. Tron: Legacy may have released in 2010, but is a newish film to the boys and what an experience it turned out to be! Find out what they thought! (it's pretty good, but man, that soundtrack is AMAZING). Almost Accurate is a weekly pop culture podcast hosted by Jake and Ryan who review the latest in Movies, TV Shows, Video Games, and more. 75- Scoob!
EThe boys are back, and you know who else is? Tony Hawk. That's right we got the exclusive list of all those songs that you love that may or may not be on that remake. Are the boys still going to go in on it? You bet. You know who else is back? Scooby-Doo. And Shaggy. And Fred and Daphne and Velma too! The boys talk Scoob!, and boy oh boy did they sure put something on the screen. Was it worth the $20USD you'll pay for the privilege of renting this movie? Listen and find out (no it wasn't, seriously just wait until this one is on streaming..... but listen to us talk about it. You'll probably like that. Probably.) 74- The Prestige
EAre you watching closely? We do not blame you if you haven't been... after all COVID-19 has done a number on all of us. But what really is going on? One of the silver linings in this poop tornado that we've all been living through is that we have an opportunity to reach back into the vault and really examine some of the movies that we all considered classics. Up this week: Christopher Nolan's 2006 film, The Prestige. Boy oh boy does this hold up. The boys are almost reticent to tell you to listen to this episode if you haven't seen the movie already, because this is truly an instant classic. Probably one of the more dry and analytical episodes they've done so far, but if any movie deserves it, it's this. If you've seen it: sit back and enjoy it! If you haven't, maybe give the movie a watch first. That's right, the boys are giving you a rare disclaimer this time. So don't complain... just enjoy this awesome and amazing gem that's probably not as appreciated as it should be. The turn, the twist, the prestige! 73- Spider-Man (2002)
EHey folks! How about that Space Force series? Doesn't look all that bad does it? You know what doesn't look quite as great? Sam Rami's original Spider-Man from 2002. This iconic and trendsetting film just recently celebrated it's 18th birthday, and since there is literally nothing else new out right now, this is the perfect opportunity for the boys to dive in on this classic. Does Spider-Man hold up all these years later? Will certain dated aspects of the time rear their ugly head when viewed in a light of clarity all these years later? Does Wilhem Dafoe look more like the Joker without makeup than the Green Goblin? Why are we asking any of you this questions in the first place??! 72- Servant
EWell well well, we hope that all of you are ready for the longest episode we've done to this point. Ryan and Jake have both completed the Apple TV+ series Servant, and boy do they have some opinions. Ryan showed up to record tonight fully prepared with an entire NOTEBOOK of thoughts. We know the world is a crazy place right now. So just sit back, relax and listen to the boys just go to town on this new (wish) series. Regardless of which side of the fence you sit on, you're going to have an opinion about it, and we honestly couldn't be happier if you'd share it with us. While you're at it, leave us a review if you're listening to this on Apple Podcasts. We'd appreciate it (if it's 5 stars)! Share the show with a friend. We're here for you people. Every Thursday. 71- Dexter (Full Series)
EWhat up guys, what kind've chips do you like? Also what do you think of Dexter? There isn't much new going on so we're going in on the ENTIRE series this time. No more snippets, no more summarizations. It's time to talk Dexter in full (and twenty some minutes of us being kinda hungry up front but that's beside the point). 70- Final Fantasy VII Remake & Final Destination 1,2,3
EWhat is new out there right now? A game from 1997 that's been reimagined? YES. Is it amazing? Is it bunches and bunches of fun? You bet it is. The boys talk Final Fantasy 7 Remake and also touch on an old classic from the past that Jake always confused with Final Fantasy in the first place. The Final Destination Franchise. Apparently a mainstay of Ryan's familial home. Who knew? Almost Accurate is a weekly pop culture podcast hosted by Jake and Ryan who review the latest in Movies, TV Shows, Video Games, and more. 69- Staying Sane During Quarentine
EWell folks, not a huge amount of news on this week is there? Sony put out that PS5 controller that we certainly had... opinions about. Animal Crossing has replaced its entire ecosystem with eggs which is... something right? I guess the good news is that they're filming new episode of Tiger King? The boys talk about what they've been up to during this strange, odd time of social distancing, from the TV shows they've watched, to the games being played and also a bit of a look in on Moana- Ryan's favorite Pixar movie and a movie Jake finally agreed to watch. So yeah. Also it's episode 69 (nice) and the boys made it through the entire episode (almost) without pointing out that fact. So a real moment of growth and maturity on their part. Right? 68- Tiger King, Animal Crossing New Horizons
EIt's another ripper of an episode folks, and possibly out most topical (and tropical?) episode yet. We have a take deep dive into the world of Animal Crossing New Horizons (which couldn't have come out at a better time) and of course the Netflix documentary that's taking the world by a blond mullet storm, Tiger King. Join the boys this week as they completely lose their minds trying to put themselves in the shoes of Joe Exotic, a self-described gay, gun-toting, tiger training, country music signing, political candidate and overall insane human being, in what will surely be one of the most wild rides you've ever seen (or listened to). If you haven't seen this documentary series yet, do yourself a favor and spend 7 hours doing it, then come back and listen to this episode. And after you've done that, sit in stunned silence in front of your TV for several minutes, pull out your Nintendo Switch and chill out with some Animal Crossing. 67- Final Fantasy 7 Remake Demo
EOh boy folks. What an episode. We talk about the new Doom Eternal and Animal Crossing: New Horizons (briefly). And after that... well who knows folks. We had a guest this week and things might've gotten a bit hazy. Hell, we even lost one of the hosts halfway through but the show soldiered on. So strap in, this is by far the longest episode of Almost Accurate we've ever done. Is it the best? No. No it isn't. Was it a blast? You bet. 66- Bloodshot
EListen folks.... the world is a bit crazy. Is Bloodshot the last movie we're ever going to see in the theatre? Definitely not. Is the PS5 going to be good? For sure it is. Is Breath of the Wild still a great game? You know it. But for real, stay safe out there folks, and if this podcast can give you a little bit a break from all the stress and crazy stuff going on in the world we appreciate you and hope we can shed a little light into your life, and throw a few laughs your way. So strap in and enjoy a long and classic episode of Almost Accurate. 65- The Invisible Man
EWhat was that? Did you hear something? Sounds a little bit like footsteps just slowly stepping around... ehh it was probably nothing. If I can't see anything, there's clearly nothing there right?? In this week's episode the boys talk Coronavirus. That's right, Coronavirus. Also they drink some Corona Light too just for good measure. Tom Hanks has it, and that's sad news. Speaking of News, there's a new Black Widow trailer, Ryan just bought a Switch, and even more in this week's episode! Also of course, the absolute madman, Ryan watched two movies last week. Listen for a (partial) review of Onward, and then the boys walk step by step, slowly by slowly through The Invisible Man (which is great. seriously, go watch it). 64- Clone Wars Season 7 Impressions
EDAAAAAA DA DA DA DA DA DUMMMMMMMM. The boys are back, just like the Clone Wars. Season 7 time baybayyy. They totally finished it, and probably added some new stuff into it, what do you think about that? I'll tell you what the boys think- it's mostly okay. Not quite as good as the older series but hey they've only put out two episodes thus far so we'll give it a go.Also news. So much news (not so much news really but hey). That Final Fantasy 7 Remake Demo is out and they can't wait to play it. Also Coronavirus is gonna kill us all maybe but is definitely delaying 007 No Time to Die (ironically). Destroy all Humans has some new screenshots for its remake, Candyman is back again it sounds like, also Samurai Jack too. Man. So. much.
