#TBT Episode 5- The Original Star Wars Trilogy
Well.... no new episode this week guys, but keeping with our recent Star Wars theme, lets turn back the pages and take a look at the original Star Wars Trilogy! FYI- the only reason we covered this two years ago during the very height of COVID was because there was literally NOTHING new coming out, and Star Wars is comfort food. SPOILER ALERT- all of these are good movies. But are they overall still the best in the franchise? (Yes). Here's looking to be back soon with some more new episodes! In the meantime, sink back into the nice and warm bath that is original Star Wars in all of it's nostalgic goodness. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

166- Obi-Wan & The Boys
EJake and Ryan might be a day later than usual, but that's only because it's taken a literal act of God to get this episode in this week. It's time for us to talk about our favorite all time folk band, it's Obi-Wan & The Boys!3 episodes into each TV show, Jake and Ryan give the rundown on what are two excellent shows, that are hitting the ground running in just about every conceivable way. Yeah. We have two good shows and what a relief that is for new content! We also have more news than perhaps we've ever seen, Sony had a new State of Play and announced a few things, we have a new trailer for Jordan Peele's Nope, Rob Zombie's Munsters reboot has a trailer and so SO much more! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

165- Top Gun Maverick
EIt’s another week, but Jake and Ryan are still on the highway to the DANGER ZONE. That’s right, it’s time to talk about the (excellent) Top Gun seuqel, Top Gun Maverick! No spoilers, but this is one of the most fun, popcorn movies you can see in theaters right now. It’s seriously so much fun. Go see it! We’re also breaking down reactions to Star Wars Celebration 2022, the newly announced Skeleton Crew series, and that Cassian Andor trailer! Sony is also balling out with spinoffs for all of it’s video game franchises. Seriously, they’re pulling an Oprah it seems. Horizon- you get a spinoff series on Netflix. God of War- you get a spinoff series on Amazon. Gran Turismo??! HELL YEAH Gran Turismo you’re somehow getting a spinoff series on a yet to be announced platform as well. (Seriously, how are they going to make a Gran Turismo show… I literally… yeah okay I guess we’ll just have to wait and see….) 164- Top Gun
EIt's time for Jake and Ryan to ride into the DANGER ZONE for the very first time (or at least the first time since they were very young kids) as they take a look back on the original Top Gun in anticipation for this week's Top Gun Maverick. How does this nearly 40 year old movie stand up to our lofty modern standards? Are there certain parts of it that haven't necessarily aged very well? Yes, yes there certainly are (looking at you Tom Cruise being a mega creep and following Kelly McGillis into that bathroom and being all like hey what's up, you tryna do this or what?) Are there certain practical effects that involve airplanes that absolutely have stood the test of time and still look absolutely amazing? Yeah, there certainly are (and man those fighter jets still do look incredible even now). It's a not so complex movie that has a more complex than needed impact that it's made on modern pop-culture, but Top Gun is still a movie that is deserving of a watch in 2022 if you haven't seen it before (and you're interested in seeing that long anticipated sequel). So give it a watch! Let us know what you think, if we're just being a goose about our critique of this movie, or maybe if we're indeed a couple of mavericks actually, we'd love to hear what you think!Almost Accurate is a weekly pop culture podcast hosted by Jake and Ryan who review the latest in Movies, TV Shows, Video Games, and more. 163- Trek to Yomi
EIt's been a deep... dark descent into the depths of looking for new content this week, but the boys have ascended from the darkness and pulled out a mostly formed gem. It's time to talk about the new game, Trek to Yomi! If you're a fan of classic samurai cinema, then this is a game that absolutely nails the theme and visual presentation that it's going for, so much more so than other games in its genre. If you're looking for a side scrolling version of Ghost of Tsushima however.... yeah you're going to want to look a bit further than this one. It's a great experience for sure (especially with those PlayStation Pulse 3D headsets) but as far as the combat goes it does get a bit repetitive. Speaking of repetitive...We've got more news this week! Well... same as every week we suppose but still.... we have some big TV shows that are returning soon! The Boys and Only Murders in the Building will both be back this June, Hocus Pocus 2 has finally dropped a release date (guess what, it's close to Halloween, who would've guessed that) and She Hulk has a new trailer and it's coming to Disney + in August! There's literally SO MUCH NEW STUFF that's coming out soon! Can't wait to revisit the 36 year old Top Gun next week...Anyways, bit of a shorter one for us this week, but Trek to Yomi is fun (ish) and there are a lot of things to be excited about coming soon, so GET HYPE. 162- Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
EWell it's time to finally enter the multiverse of madness. Is it as multi-verseal or as maddening as we perviously though that it would be? Well... probably not. Is it an endless cavalcade of fan-castings and excepting celebrity cameos from across the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Well, let's be honest it isn't that either. Is it a good, solid, stand-alone Marvel movie with a compelling man character, antagonist and an interesting side character that will most likely get her own Disney + spinoff show? Well it definitely is that! That's not all that the boys tackle this week. They've also got Hasbro promising to release newly updated versions of their original Star Wars toys, & Avatar has a new trailer! Bold of them to assume that we remember the original, although Pandora's Flight at Disney's Animal Kingdom is an all time banger though, this much cannot be argued.... 161- The Boys play Switch Sports and watch the Moon Knight Finale
EJake and Ryan are back with a NEW episode this week. OOOOOOHHH. Justin Lin is out as the director of the new Fast and Furious movie, and we play that weird and awkward video Vin Diesel shot with him about a week before he decided to step down (was fired for fighting with Vin Diesel). But we have so many new things to talk about and so many news stories to get through. Switch Sports is out and it's insane that Nintendo has waited this long to put this collection of games out. How does it stack up to the original on the Wii? Well.... it's a game alright, and it's fun! How does Moon Knight stick the Egyptian landing? It's also well worth the wait, and nice to see Marvel taking a bit of a risk with something a little off kilter for once as well. We're glad to be back in the same room and glad to have some NEW stuff to talk about! #TBT Episode 4- Avengers Infinity War & Avengers Endgame
EWell.... it's a second week of no new content for us, but you know what? We were able to find a rather clever loophole if we do say so ourselves. It turns out that Avengers Endgame released 3 YEARS ago this week, so that was the perfect opportunity to reach back into the Almost Accurate vault, and pull out our movie reviews from episodes 27 and 28 of our podcast. We hope to be back soon with some new episodes, but for now, let's go back in time to 2019 when things were a bit simpler, the world was still kinda shit but not as shit as it got a few months after that, and enjoy talking about when Avengers movies were still in theaters! #TBT Episode 3- The 3 Worst Movies we’ve Watched for this Podcast
ENo new episode this week folks, but that's not to say that there isn't time to take a look back into the past.... and realize how thankful we should be that there are actually GOOD things that are currently coming out now. The boys thought it would be fun to take a look back at movies that fill the infamous podium of the 3 worst movies they've had to suffer through during the course of this podcast, and it just so happens that these 3 gems from 2019 have yet to be bested (you're off the hook for this one Morbius). So sit back, and enjoy the reviews of Hellboy (2019), The Man who Killed Hitler and then the Bigfoot, and Men in Black: International- the true Mount Rushmore of awful movies that we thought would be kind've funny to laugh at but actually just took a few years off our lives. 160- Sonic the Hedgehog 2
EThis week the boys have been watching some more Moon Knight. We wonder what Ethan Hawke is going to do with that stone statue?? He sure did have an unusual glint in his eyes, we will say that much. There is also a TON of news for Jake and Ryan to blitz through, in addition to a full-spoiler review of Sonic the Hedgehog 2! Is it as solid as the first movie… or is it more like Ace Venture 2? You’ll have to listen and find out! Almost Accurate is a weekly pop culture podcast hosted by Jake and Ryan who review the latest in Movies, TV Shows, Video Games, and more. Like the show? 159- Morbius
EIt's finally time people.... for what seems like two years (or perhaps even more) Jake and Ryan have somewhat dreaded the day that the Morbius movie actually turned out to be a real creation that they would actually have to watch and endure... and damn if it hasn't finally happened. So is this the worst movie they've covered on the podcast? No, it certainly is not. Is it an instant classic that is undeserving of all of the negative reviews that have been floating around about it? Well let's not get carried away here... we do have Matt Smith running around the London Underground in orthopedic sketchers pretending to be a vampire so it does warrant a certain amount of criticism let's be honest. No, Morbius is one of those weird movies where it's not quite bad enough to just hate on it the entire time as being this strange bastardization of the source material, but it also cannot possibly be viewed as a stand alone piece of media to be appreciated either. Morbius straddles that strange middle ground where it's a bad movie that seems as if it's missing a second (potentially better, potentially worse) half, and we may never truly know which way this could've gone. The boys also have a spoiler-free and brief recap of the first two episodes of Marvel's Moon Knight, and Jake had to do a bit of dumpster diving in the name of love this week, so there's also that to keep all of you satiated.... 158- Turning Red
EAlmost Accurate is committed to brining you the most up to date information, and as a weekly podcast, we're poised to talk about information the second it happens- oh no! It looks like Will Smith has broken down the doors to our studio and given us both the swiftest of smacks right across the face! Like we said.... the most up to date information that a weekly podcast could possibly give. We're finally talking about Disney's Turning Red, which is a metaphor for growing up and maybe finally getting your mom to chill out about that. We also talk about how Ezra Miller has been going ham in Hawaii and really seems like he hates karaoke (but to be fair... don't most of us?) PlayStation is finally rolling out a GamePass style competitor (well.. kind've, it does have three different, and I must say, confusingly worded and somewhat hard to say tiers) and even more in this week's episode! 157- The Dropout
EWe feel like this will be a fantastic step forward for our podcast. We're really feeling the synergy between us this episode, and we think that it'll be an experience that we can nurture and grow together in this business adventure together, that will really help us consolidate our assets, and give you (the listener) the best possible podcast listening experience, all done with just one single drop of blood. Yeah we watched Hulu's The Dropout this week and all jokes about Elizabeth Holmes' voice aside this is a GREAT drama series. There is a real glut of con-artist media floating out there at the moment, but this is a great one to start with. It is so well acted, and covers such an insane story so well, it's a big recommend from your resident podcasting experts down here at Almost Accurate HQ. That's four thumbs up (because you know, two of us on this show) for The Dropout! 156- Gran Turismo 7, Space Force Season 2
EThe boys have a TON of news to get through, and they’ve also got a big new (ish) game to talk about, and a perhaps lesser show review to get through. Jake and Ryan are here to talk you all through the news of the week in the upcoming The Boys season 3 trailer, a sneak peak of Umbrella Academy Season 3, and of course that very impressive looking trailer for Ms. Marvel. Man that was a well put together trailer. Have no idea if the show will be good or not but that was a VERY good looking and well done trailer. For the main couse, Jake has been playing the classy and complicated Gran Turismo 7, for all it’s technical difficulties and shiny cars (and coffee) is a very fun and enjoyalbe exeprience. They’ve also been watching the second season of Netflix’s Space Force which…. Well it’s not quite as good as the first season is it? It’s not bad by any means but it does seem to reference some real life budget cuts which unfortuantley seem to make their way into the premise of the actual show. It’s a good watch, but ultimately not the most memorable some would say…. 155- The Batman
EJake and Ryan took a look at the news they had this week and went "hey, how do we turn this into the second-longest episode we've ever done? That's something that the people want from us isn't it?" Well, even if it isn't, turns out that what the boys have done. Buckle up for an hour and 20 minute breakdown of The Batman (which is pretty good by the way according to Jake and medium from Ryan), plus much, much more news on top of that. You wanted a Ninja Turtles collection? You got it. You wanted all those Warner Brother's movies to be pushed back by several months but maybe one of them actually got moved forward? You got it. You wanted the boys to really, REALLY talk about Batman for a lot longer than they've ever done before? You've got it. This episode really does have it all. 154- Horizon Forbidden West
EIt's time for the boys to load up and ride back off into the sunset... which we all know from a geographical perspective means that the sun sets in the west.... or even the forbidden west as some might even say. Who among us has even been all the way out there? Might there even be some gigantic robotic monstrosity the likes of which we haven't even seen once we cross over into that threshold? It's impossible to say if you haven't crossed that threshold, but the boys have for you and they're here to go even further in depth into Horizon Forbidden West. Spoiler Alert: This is a great game and it's SO fun to play. That's really all we're going to spoil for you in this more in-depth review than we gave during last week's episode, but it's a true testament to the design, creativity, and just sheer beauty of this game that it warrants a second week and a second visit into it's world. That photo mode too... baller. Is that a dated reference? Is it still cool to refer to stuff as baller? We don't care. We're going to continue to do that, and continue to say that Horizon Forbidden West is a great game and you should check it out! 153- Uncharted & Horizon Forbidden West
EWell well well.... Sony sure had a big day last week didn't they? Not only did they release their major motion picture starting a certain Thomas Holland and a certain Mark(us) Wahlberg, they also put out Horizon Forbidden West, a highly anticipated sequel to an already ambitious open world game from a few years ago. Crazy they did both of these in the same day... I mean what were we supposed to do after all, watch and try and review them both??! Only two absolute lunatics with nothing better to do than create content for a podcast would dare to even attempt something such as this... right? You're in luck because this is Almost Accurate after all and this is..... well its Jake and Ryan after all and this is what they do. Putting their lives (time) on the line (watching and playing content they probably would engage with anyways) all for the sake of this podcast. You're welcome folks. No need to thank us, we did the legwork for you, and we'll let you know if both of these things are worth your time (they are... for the most part... I mean we talk about it in the episode so... just keep listening). 152- Peacemaker, Cyberpunk 2077 Demo
EJake and Ryan have a TON of news to get through this week folks. Like we haven't had this much news to just blitz through in quite some time so grab a helmet, grab a seatbelt and strap in because there's SO MUCH to cover this week. The Super Bowl was last Sunday (you know, in case you live under a rock... or just in a place outside of the United States where you're not quite sure what the big deal is but you've heard of the Super Bowl before, but you're not quite sure why they use Roman numerals even though the majority of Americans actually have to Google what Super Bowl number it is this year because you know... Roman numerals.. and you know.. Americans). THERE ARE A TON OF TRAILERS TO RECAEP. Moonknight! DC 2022 Recap! Dr. Strange and the Multiverse of Madness! That Jurassic World sequel where they got Laura Dean and Sam Neal back in addition to Chris Pratt who's in literally everything right now! Not to be outdone by things that have been done before but are getting a second (and third probably) chance, Cyberpunk 2077 is back and it's finally running on next-gen consoles! The boys sample the Cyberpunk Demo (the first 5 hours are free right now) and let you all know their thoughts, especially how it compares to the awful and broken mess that CD Projekt Red rolled out in December of 2020. Lastly, (but certainly not least-ly... or Eaglely...) Jake and Ryan have started watching HBO's Peacemaker, and what a show. Really... going into this not having any expectations and being pleasantly surprised by how GOOD it actually is... you can't beat that. You can't even SEE that. Peacemaker (at least the first three episodes) is a big recommend from the boys. Check it out! 151- Jackass Forever
EJake and Ryan are back for a ball-slapping good time, because Jackass Forever is finally in theaters! Is it a return to form for the classic cast, or is it a reminder that we are all getting older and it's time to leave childish things behind...... anyways, guard your sack fellas. You're never safe, even when you think you are. In others news, Nintendo dropped a fairly decent Direct today, and we're getting (paid) DLC for Mario Kart 8, alongside Switch Sports! Finally time to bowl against your grandma again! Almost Accurate is a weekly pop culture podcast hosted by Jake and Ryan who review the latest in Movies, TV Shows, Video Games, and more. 150- A Wintry Binge
EJake and Ryan enjoy the shortest of respites from the wintry weather that has hammered the luscious North Carolina plains for several weeks and discuss some of the things they have been binge watching while stuck inside and watching it snow (and sleet. this is the South y'all). Turns out, Netflix has had some BANGERS drop in the last few weeks that are worth binging for sure! If you haven't watched Archive 81, you're in for an otherworldly adventure that will have you asking what exactly is happening right up until the very end. Jake watched Amy Adams' Woman in the Window and felt it was a fairly decent watch (if not a bit too long). Then of course we have the longest titled TV show in recent memory, Netflix's The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Woman in the Window (starring Kristen Bel). What a goofy, strange adventure this turned out to be! Yes that one sex scene was pretty long. Yes they did it in every room in the house, y'all just calm down already. Seriously. It's fun, it's goofy, and it's for sure one that is deserving of a winter-time binge. 149- Don’t Look Up
EOn this episode of Almost Accurate, the boys urge you to keep you heads down and don't look up at the sky, at the giant-ass comet Dibiasky that is currently hurtling towards the Earth, that is threatening to end life as we know it. No... instead, why don't you slip some headphones into your ears and listen to Jake and Ryan let you know that all of it is (probably) going to be okay....That's right, this week the boys are finally tackling what is apparently the most controversial movie Netflix has released in the past few months, Don't Look Up, which has some people unnecessarily upset over something that seems like a fairly accurate depiction of what it would be like if the Earth were... oh I don't know... facing an actual crisis on a planetary scale that would suddenly require a lot of people to come together and act as one and sacrifice for the common good? Anyways, it's probably a metaphor or something right? Almost Accurate is a weekly pop culture podcast hosted by Jake and Ryan who review the latest in Movies, TV Shows, Video Games, and more. 148- Dexter New Blood (Spoiler Review)
EJake and Ryan are back and they're back on Zoom! Ryan has had plenty of time recently to catch up on all sorts of media, watching Marvel's Eternals, The Righteous Gemstones, and of course a healthy does of King of the Hill. Jake has been playing PLENTY of Nintendo's 51 Clubhouse Games and it's finally time to talk full spoilers for Dexter New Blood! Pour one out for a real one, RIP Bob Saget. #TBT Episode 2- Best of Episodes 16-20
EWe're two dudes that are over 30 years old, so we well remember a time when people used to use #TBT every Thursday to post a picture they took about 2 and half weeks prior. It was brutal time to be on social media. Anyhow... in lieu of new contact for all of you this week, we're releasing another compilation episode. This time we're throwing it back to early 2019, and focusing on the best of episodes 16-20 (you know, like it says in the title up there. Just look. Like right up there.) The boys discuss Netflix's somewhat ambitious and also somewhat low on quality production of BlackMirror: Bandersnatch (a personal favorite that I actually forgot that we did a review of) Happy Death Day (which is great), Glass (which isn't great), Solo: A Star Wars Story (which I guess it was a slow week, but a pretty decent movie it must be said), and another Netflix title- Velvet Buzzsaw. This was a particularly fun time period of the podcast because we really had no clue what we were doing (some folks would contend that we still don't) where we really just watched anything and reviewed anything we felt like, and just had fun overall. Also, the world wasn't quite the terrifying hellscape outside that it is at the moment either, so maybe we're just being nostalgic for a simpler time?? Enjoy this look back on the early days of Almost Accurate (because we all know you aren't scrolling back down the list that far) and enjoy each of our review sections, all cut together in this one package. We had fun cutting this together, and we hope you have fun taking a Velvet Buzzsaw down memory lane with us. 147- 2021: A Year in Review
EOUR FIRST EVER ZOOM EPISODE This week the boys sit down together (remotely) and reflect on the year that was 2021, and look ahead with hope to the year that it currently is right this second (2022). The year that you the listener are currently listening to this in? Unknowable. We don’t know the future, and if we did, we probably wouldn’t be doing this podcast. We got sidetracked there didn’t we? Lets start over: it’s time to celebrate the best (and some of the worst) of 2021 in relation to movies, tv shows and video games! Jake and Ryan break down their favorites of the year, and talk their biggest surprises, and biggest letdowns of 2021! 146- Spider-Man: No Way Home
EIt's finally time for out last episode of 2021, and we cannot thank you enough for what a year it's been! Thankfully however, we have a VERY good movie to end the year on, of course you've probably seen by the episode title of course, it's time for us to finally talk about Spider-Man: No Way Home, and what a ride this movie truly is! There's plenty of space to talk about minor plot points that don't really make sense, or small things that if this was an exclusively Marvel owned property that they would do differently, but the simple truth is this: the boys are tired, and they don't like watching bad movies all that often. In fact, it's a relief when one of these large blockbusters come along and it's a true delight when they are a joy to watch rather than a chore. This is a movie that delivers and if you haven't seen it, and you'd like to, DO IT. It's one that's worth it in every sense of the word. That's it from the boys for 2021! Thanks for the ride, and we're looking forward to recapping the ENTIRE YEAR in the next episode, so tune in next week for our Year in Review! 145- Our White Trash Christmas
EWell well well.... I suppose we all knew that this episode was coming at some point, but here it is. Jake and Ryan are here to lay down the law and talk about what it was like growing up as little kids in the South, and what Christmas meant to them (and of course by extension, what Christmas movies made an impact on them). So buckle up on a very revealing glimpse into the childhood of two kids that have had it pretty good, and what their top-five favorite Christmas movies are (here's a little spoiler for the following episode, you've probably heard some of these before, but nevertheless, they are still some stone-cold classics.) 144- The Game Awards 2021
EThis week the boys have some Game Awards News to talk about. That's right, it's time for that annual night where we as video game fans sit down and watch a three hour plus awards show where most of it is dedicated to commercials but we still tune in each and every single year. There's a new Star Wars game afoot. Is it going to be any good after we saw that Quantic Dream logo at the end of it? Well if you like walking and talking and a couple of QuickTime events then you probably are going to. We also saw an amazing Arc Raiders trailer which looked greater, but we're still trying to decided whether that seemed like a fun game to play, or if it was just a wonderfully nostalgic Atari influenced piece of media. Also, what about Nicholas Cage playing Nicholas Cage in his new Nicholas Cage Movie, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent (starring Nicholas Cage playing Nicholas Cage). Man, what a trailer that was. Also, that wall seemed small enough they both could've probably just walked around that. I'm sure that'll be addressed in the full movie. 143- Tiger King 2
EThis week it's time to dip back into the batshit insane, redneck world of Tiger King. That's right people, those crazy folks down at Netflix actually scrounged together enough material to make a second season of what was once the biggest show in the world. So how does it all stack up? Does it reach the lofty heights of entertainment that the first season did? Does it launch at the literal most opportune time that it could (we can say no for that one). Is everyone that is involved in this one of the worst examples of humanity? (we can also answer this one as well).... Buckle in, get a fresh dip cup and snuggle up to a bear cub because this week the boys have a lot to cover, and you're not going to want to miss it. 142- Hawkeye, Welcome to Raccoon City
EThis week it's BIG NEWS TIME. What do the boys mean by big news time? Upwards of 5, that's right five news stories and two different media properties.... so yeah.. you all are really getting you money's worth at this point. Ryan watched about 2/3rds of Welcome to Raccoon City before sadly some technical issues intervened at the AMC theater, and Jake has watched the first two episodes of Hawkeye, now streaming on Disney +. How are they? Hey, you gotta listen to find out. Also Ryan ripped his pants in the middle of recording this episode and then continued to rip them so if we have any ASMR fans out there, you're in for a real treat at the end of this episode.... 141- Ghostbusters Afterlife
EThis week the boys have the honor of reviewing one of the most okay-ish movies they've ever had the preview of reviewing... that's right folks it's Ghostbusters Afterlife time!! Is this a film that delivers upon decades of nostalgia and classic film tropes to develop a satisfying sequel/reboot? Is this a movie that is more akin to the Stranger Things inspired horror/comedy movies we've seen in recent times? We'll let you be the judge of that but it's clear what Jake and Ryan think about this particular one this week....Almost Accurate is a weekly pop culture podcast hosted by Jake and Ryan who review the latest in Movies, TV Shows, Video Games, and more. 140- Spider-Man No Way Home Trailer
EThis week Jake and Ryan have NEWS NEWS and some more NEWS. GTA fans are furious at Rockstar for their rather half-assed "Definitive Edition", there's a Daredevil reboot afoot and Disney + is adding a TON of new stuff to their lineup... eventually! However, the main event that the boys wanted you to know they were for sure going to talk about today was of course that new Spider-Man No Way Home trailer that dropped yesterday. What do they think about it? What does it all mean in terms of the multiverse appearing on screen? Will Mark Zuckerberg make an appearance at last in an MCU movie (or wait... that was the Metaverse wasn't it?) 139- Dexter: New Blood Premiere
EThis week… there may not be all that much news, but a certain serial killer may or may not be defrosting as we speak…. That’s right, DEXTER IS BACK. The boys are excited to finally welcome Jim Lindsay ummm….. excuse me, Dexter Morgan back and he’s not in Alsaka, he’s actualy in upstate New York and he’s got some secrets he’s been hiding….. What are thsoe secrets? Mr. Krabbs is here? Debb is a ghost/Dexter’s conscience? Yeah there is a lot this season is setting up and we’re totally here for it. 138- Halloween Kills
EThis week… it’s no longer spooky season but guess what??! It’s always spooky season in here (points to heart….) Anyway, as you definitely would’ve guessed from all of that, the boys are ready to take on Michael Myers the the sequel (and like 11th movie in the franchise) of Halloween Kills! That’s right, it’s the follow up to one of the movies that Ryan has hated for quite some time. Has the sequel turned things around for him? Has he felt the cold embrace of a 60 year old man that is slowly slinking twoards him in a dark alley? Find out this week folks… you’re not going to want to miss this one! 137- Squid Game
EIt’s time for Jake and Ryan to take on the BIGGEST show in Netflix history. That’s right, this week the boys are tackling the show that so many (at least two of you we’re hoping) have absolutely been clamoring for: that’s right it’s SQUID GAME TIME BAYBAYYYYY. 136- Venom: Let there be Carnage
EThis week on Almost Accurate, the boys enter the dome… that’s right, we’re talking about the DC FanDome of course. What’s under the DOME? A lot of Batmens, maybe a Flash or two, and maybe a Dwayn the Rock Johnson or two. Who’s to say?? Animal Crossing had a big event, Nintendo is charing way, way too much for N64 games, and of course we can’t forget about the cinematic masterpiece that is Venom: Let there be Carnage. What Carnage there was (not all that much really…. unless you’re a chicken or a Nestle bar we suppose). 135- Metroid Dread
EThis week the boys have a big ole nostalgic franchise to tackle….. a dreadful one some might say… That’s right… Jake has been waiting YEARS to finally talk about a new Metroid game and it’s finally here. It’s Metroid Dread time baybayyyyyy. This game is hard as hell folks, but it sure is a good time (well… for most of it at least). The boys also have a ton of news to catch up on. New GTA Trilogy coming out this year? Apparently Rockstar has confrimed this. They’re making a Resident Evil Prequel movie? Well lather us up and take us down to Racoon City. The boys have also recently viewed the Addams Family 2…. and let’s just say, it’s not the first animated movie in this franchise… and doesnt’ quite live up to any of the other pieces of media in this franchise. Nick Kroll does turn into an octopus at the end of the movie though so… we guess that’s something right???? 134- Eastward
EThis week the boys are back and they’re here to discuss the amazing game that is Eastward. Man oh man, what a beautiful, well written, and wonderfully crafted game that is SO much fun to play and puzzle solve through. But that’s not all! Ryan has watched the tightly twisting Netflix series Clickbait, a show that will keep you saying who’s doing the bad thing right up until the end… and when it gets to the end you’ll say… wow.. alrighty then. Lastly but definetly not leastly, the boys have watched more of Marvel’s What If…? and have some opinions on the show that is sometimes goofy, and sometimes a serious bummer that makes you question the entire existence you’re living on this entire Earth. Yeah. Heavy stuff for an animated show. Almost Accurate is a weekly pop culture podcast hosted by Jake and Ryan who review the latest in Movies, TV Shows, Video Games, and more. Like the show? 133- Only Murders in the Building
EThis week the boys only talk about Only Murder in the Building (in addition to several other things actually). Marvel has had a big week with SEVERAL new games coming to the PlayStation, and PlayStation have had a big week in general with their new showcase. This and more (and more you say? Yes, more we say) in this week's episode. Enjoy! Almost Accurate is a weekly pop culture podcast hosted by Jake and Ryan who review the latest in Movies, TV Shows, Video Games, and more. 132- Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings
ETHIS WEEK: the boys return to the movie theater and get to finally experience one of the best MCU movies in recent years (well... since Endgame basically). No jokes, Shang-Chi is the charming, funny, action packed movie that you've been waiting for to actually sit down with a mask on and experience in a movie theater. It's worth it. The boys also have some trailer to discuss, Leonardo DiCaprio is back and has some anxiety about an asteroid that's about to impact the planet, The Boys recreated an entire fake Fox News segment for their season 3 promo, Venom 2 gets moved FORWARD by 2 weeks and even more on this week's edition of Almost Accurate!Almost Accurate is a weekly pop culture podcast hosted by Jake and Ryan who review the latest in Movies, TV Shows, Video Games, and more. 131- Axiom Verge 2, Candyman, Marvel‘s What If...?
EThis week the boys have a full bumper crop of things to discuss. That new Val Kilmer doc on Amazon? Ryan's watched it. Axiom Verge 2? Jake's played it. Candyman? Well Ryan watched that too (what a double feature), and the boys have both sampled Marvel's What If...? Disney + series and you know what? That's pretty damn good too. 130- Jungle Cruise
EWell wouldn't you know it, if the boys weren't back and it's time to head on down the rushing river of news of the past few weeks. Is there a new Spider-Man trailer? You bet there is. Do the boys have some opinions? You bet they do. Did Elon Musk make a strange statement about the Tesla Bots that his company is going to allegedly make? You bet he did? Did the boys make some inappropriate jokes about it? If you've been around for any of the previous 129 episodes you already know the answer to that. That also brings us to Disney's Jungle Cruise. No, no the ride, the movie. But we understand how you would be confused about that. No, this is yet another franchise, based on a ride, where the first one is actually pretty good, even if there are some hokey parts in it (and some continued references to one particular character wearing pants... yeah it's a whole thing so just watch the movie). It's fun though! A good movie the boys would reckon. Almost Accurate is a weekly pop culture podcast hosted by Jake and Ryan who review the latest in Movies, TV Shows, Video Games, and more. 129- The Suicide Squad
EThe boys return with a new podcast after five years away, where most of the cast has been replaced with new people, but Harley Quinn is back still. Oh wait... sorry that was the movie they watched this week, not the show. IT'S SUICIDE SQUAD TIME BABAYYYYYY. The boys also have time to watch the new Venom 2 trailer, and get a taste of the new season of Dexter (looks pretty cold wherever they've sent Michael C. Hall this time. Alaska? Minnesota in October? Maybe we're just talking some upper peninsula of Michigan perhaps. Also Wisconsin, you guys are cowards for not just grabbing that. Seriously, does Michigan really need the oven mit AND the upper peninsula? Ridiculous.) Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

128- Fear Street 1666
EIt's time to cast your minds back to a simpler time.... that simpler time where if you did anything people would say that you were a witch and blame everything bad that happened in your town on you. Ahhh... history. The boys are back to finish the Fear Street trilogy, and Fear Street 1666 doesn't disappoint! There's also news that Cyberpunk has been selling really, really well even though Sony is telling people not to buy it, The Rock will NOT be in the next two Fast and Furious movies, and Nintendo has once again shockingly acknowledged that Metroid exists. 127- Fear Street 1978
EThis week the boys continue to head backwards in time, and forwards in some surprisingly brutal horror killings... like seriously y'all, we're talking about a dude getting his head full on chopped off, like that was insane. It's Fear Street Part Two time! Because why would building a kid's camp on top of a cursed colonial town NOT be a good idea? Ryan has also dabbled in the PS5 and played Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, and viewed Nicolas Cage's finest work in the soon to be known as masterpiece, Willy's Wonderland. Some seriously good urinal curb stomping to be had there my friends. 126- Fear Street 1994
EThis week the boys will regale you with not one, but TWO tales of mischief, cars flying off things they normally wouldn't fly off of, big magnets, witches and murder. That's right.... we're talking Fast and Furious 9 and Fear Street 1994! Did.... you not get that from that well thought out description?? 125- Loki
EBack from a two week break, the boys have some episodes of Loki to catch up on, and what a show it's turned out to be! We're not even going to try and write a joke in the description about this, it's just a really good time. See? We did something wholesome. Right there in the episode description. We really are maturing. Also- E3 happened this year! We got a look at the upcoming Breath of the Wild sequel and oh yeah THERE'S GONNA BE A NEW 2D METROID GAME. 124- The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It
EThis week: one of the worst titles for a movie that we've heard in a while. That's right- it's time for the boys to talk about some big bad demons in The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It. Jake has watched Raya and the Last Dragon (which was a bit meh) and they've got news this week. SO MUCH NEWS. Turns out Square Enix has finally fixed Cloud's door so look forward to paying $70 to see that door in all of it's oak stained glory this time around. Stay tuned to the end to listen to the boys rewrite this installment of the Conjuring. Warner Brother's drop us a line because we know that you're listening. 123- Modok
EThis week the boys dive into the insanity that is the Patton Oswald-led Modok. Trust us, you've never seen anything Marvel that's quite this..... well, just give it a watch and see if you agree with us. We've also got a big 'ole load of video game news as we head towards this year's (virtual) E3. Is Nintendo releasing a new version of the Switch? 122- Zack Snyder's Army of the Dead
EIt's a rapid-fire round of news this weeks folks! That's right, we do an ant-Zack Snyder and instead of making this episode 4 hours long, we absolutely truck it through some news, from the Sony State of Play, to The Last Night in Soho. Who thinks a Zombie movie in Vegas sounds cool? Zack Snyder sure did, and we have to admit the premise was pretty damn cool. How does the rest of the movie stack up after that VERY impressive credit sequence?? Well.... listen to the second half of this episode to find out y'all! That's right, the boys have finally gotten around to talking about Apple TV's Ted Lasso, and boy oh boy is it a breath of fresh air that we all need right now.
