The Make It Worse Theatre Presents: You Don't Think, Kristin
Last week Greg regaled us with stories of his fractious former neighbors. What he didn't say, or maybe he did and I forgot, is that they were so loud he was able to record them from his kitchen. He sent me the audio clip but was hesitant to have us play it on the show because he's a decent person. So I did the only smart thing someone in my position could do: listened to it 900 times in order to transcribe it so we could reenact on the show. Also in this episode, Jenna is still extremely pregnant and had a contraction, Greg and Daniel have app ideas and I have an idea for a cologne and also a shoe-musement park, Greg cries during movies and which way to lean while hugging. Plus we did a round of Just Me Or Everyone.

Matt Nathanson Returns
Matt Nathanson and I went to college together and as I confess to him early on in this episode, I've come to feel like he and I are on similar journeys in life. It's an incredibly squishy and drippy thing to say and if I read it or overheard it, I'd probably roll my eyes. And yet here I am, coughing it up for you right here and also on the podcast. Back in the day (and also on the tenth episode of my podcast on which he guested) we fought good-naturedly about all sorts of stuff with the exception of the couple of times it felt not so good-natured. But these days we totally get along. On this episode we talk about ego states, parenthood, the necessity of being totally honest if you're an artist, fame, poetry, Matt's childhood and boarding school experience, his new album, infidelity, his family, his relationship with his parents, the Taylor Swift Incident, Bill Murray and so much more. We also took your questions over twitter and did a round of Just Me Or Everyone and he played a song.

Make It Worse, Rob! Make It Worse!
On this episode which we recorded one day before Jenna's due date (spoiler alert: she's still pregnant) we talked about cervical ripeness, my buying pre-peeled hard cooked eggs because I'm a "useless sack of shit," how to properly boil eggs at home, mint ice cream and whether it's gross or not (#AL and #ALISON say it is), Greg officiating at his sister's wedding, books vs Kindles, eating dogs and cats, googling upsetting things, massages at barbershops, sunglasses and rudeness and so much more. Plus we did a round of Just Me Or Everyone.

Mike Carano
I suspected I would love talking with Mike Carano (The After Disaster, 5 Minutes with Mike, Miscellaneous Adventures from the World of Mike Carano) and I was right because he's incredibly honest and open about all the stuff that goes through his head. We discussed how he feels uncomfortable all the time, trespassing, decision making, his childhood and his stint in a cult, his relationship with his parents, self-help books, meditation, Dr. Drew, how he met his After Disaster cohorts, being afraid to disappoint people, drinking, meds, The Madonna Inn, driving, snacks and so much more. We also took your questions over Twitter and did a round of Just Me Or Everyone.

Racking Pistols, Ignition Coils, Avocado Trees
On Saturday night, Jenna and Al had all of us over to their new place for an extra-curricular hangout. On this episode, Daniel, Greg, Jeff, Jenna, Al and I recounted the festivities complete with Greg's assessment of Jenna and Al's avocado tree, pistol racking, more dirty diet coke talk, spear-fishing, Greg's car troubles, whether women can be creepy or not, Jenna's due date, what truly happens when you give birth, being skeptical of real estate agents, whether we should all move to bumblefuck and so much more. We also did a round of Just Me Or Everyone.

Josh Gondelman
Writer and comedian Josh Gondelman (Last Week Tonight, Billy on the Street, New Yorker) traveled all the way from New York to be on my podcast and while he was in town he stopped by the Emmys. Or maybe I have that backwards. Regardless, he was in town and we talked about all sorts of stuff including his experience writing on Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, You Blew It! An Awkward Look at the Many Ways In Which You've Already Ruined Your Life (his new book with Joe Berkowitz), discovering comedy, writing the @modernseinfeld Twitter account, why Twitter is better than OK Cupid, the fragility of adult friendships, job searches, elementary school Spanish, ramadas, porches and so much more. We also answered your questions and did a round of Just Me Or Everyone.

A Romantic Halloween Spooktacular!
This was supposed to be our spooky Halloween-themed episode and it started that way, with horrifying talk of my new obsession with Dirty Diet Cokes and some riveting Gal Chat regarding nails but then talk turned to Greg's unanswered questions about how I met Daniel and then how Greg met his wife and how Al first described Jenna to his parents and it became a very romantic Halloween show. But then we Halloween'd it up again with a shocking revelation about Almond Joy and Mounds, agent dating, jealousy, course titles, costumes, avocados and a scary round of Halloween-themed Just Me Or Everyone.

Michael Showalter Returns
Michael Showalter and I go way back to 2006-ish when I did a series of interviews for Time Out New York/PS1 Radio (they were very early podcasts, actually) and he was the first person I interviewed. Over the years I've interviewed him many more times and I always love talking with him, probably because I'm such a huge fan of his work from The State to Wet Hot American Summer to Stella and now Neftlix's Wet Hot American Summer First Day of Camp (not to mention The Baxter and Mr. Funny Pants and all the projects I'm forgetting). It was fascinating to find out how he regards his own success and how the Netflix series, he says, "changed the narrative." Also he recently made a film called Hello My Name is Doris starring Sally Field and Max Greenfield and it was heartbreaking and beautiful. We also talked hypnotherapy (I was inspired to make an appointment after our conversation), kids, NY work ethics vs. LA work ethics (and the cultural differences in general), cats, tennis and sportiness. Plus we took your questions over twitter and did a round of Just Me Or Everyone. (BTW, still trying this thing where I write the episode summaries in EXTREME FIRST PERSON. Is it still working? Lemme know. Ok bye.)

Dirty Diet Coke, Bonus Fruits and Mormon Funeral Potatoes
I included Dirty Diet Coke in this episode title because ever since Jenna talked about it on the show, I can't stop thinking about it. I am to Dirty Diet Coke as Greg Heller is to Mormon Funeral Potatoes. Also, I've decided to write these show descriptions in a different way. What do you think? Lemme know. I can easily go back to taking myself out of the description however let's be real, I am writing these words. Anyhoozles, Jenna and Al and Greg were back on this episode and joined Jeff, Daniel and me for a chat about almost getting run over by a bike on the sidewalk (while I was texting), tap dancing, Adoption vs. IVF and people being kinda dickish online, Greg's fishing and surfing trip, bathroom habits, peach air freshener, the extendo version of The Fruit Song, Greg's dream about Anderson Cooper, shaking hands with the unemployed (i.e. masturbation), Pretty Little Liars, Gilmore Girls and more.
