Nacisti zhabali vyše 1500 tór z českých zemí a komunisti ich takmer zničili, nebyť londýnskej nadácie Memorial Scrolls Trust, ktorá ich zachránila. Po desaťročiach, práve počas sviatku Simchat tora, sa jeden zvitok zo vzácnej zbierky vrátil do Prahy, kde bude slúžiť progresívnej židovskej komunite Ec Chajim.
