James Dean byl veký herecký talent, nespoutaný živel, sexy idol i symbol revolty. Miloval rychlá auta, za která také utrácel, a dokonce v nich úspěšně závodil. A také v nich rychle jezdil i mimo závodní okruh. Rychlost se mu na silnici stala osudnou 30. září 1955 v pouhých 24 letech.
