Shari attributes aspartame, and her once love affair with diet soda for the prognosis.  Shari opens up about the initial anger she felt, to adjusting her mindset into survival mode.  Since she's changed her diet, she completed 14 rounds of chemotherapy and survived life with an ostomy bag.  Her battle continues with spots found on her lungs, 8 to be exact.

Shari advocates working on preventative methods to circumvent this awful disease.  She also shares some helpful pointers for what to do if you've been diagnosed with cancer.  Shari's story is one of strength, grace, and hope.  She is a fighter.
